We went for trivia and it is amazing. First time for trivia and did not know we could make reservation for a table, so all tables were already taken and had to sit in the bar. Food is ok and they do have a variety of drinks. Only downside is they never showed me the items I purchased because they just show an iPad to sign and specify the amount you want to tip. I asked for a receipt but never got it. If interested on this just hit the email option rather than the printed version.

Used to be one of my favorite places in whole Charlotte. But they have significantly changed post-Covid. I was a huge fan of their wings, but last two times I had wings - those were so so bad, almost inedible. Prices went up significantly too. Still a good place to sit in the patio in the afternoon/late afternoon, but just going there for goods/drinks - No.

Super fun experience before going to The Fillmore for a concert this past weekend. I was worried that it would be crowded pre-concert but it wasn't. They had so many options for craft beer and had mixed drink options as well. I got pretzel bites with beer cheese and my friend got a burger, both were amazing. Service was fast even when things started to pick up closer to show time. I'll definitely be going back.

This is the first place that my girlfriend and I came to on our very first day in Charlotte and it has been a real treasure! There's so much variety with the drink and food menu. Bartenders are friendly and on point with their recommendations. Definitely one of the best bars to visit here in Charlotte

Atmosphere is amazing. Only major issue right now is how ling we waited for food. Simple menu items. Burger and fries. Took an hour after we ordered. Loved the setup. Volleyball courts in the city was pretty cool. Tons of beer selections. We stopped here before a concert. Just beware of how long it takea to get food.

This is a sports bar next to music venue. On. a Saturday afternoon we pleaded with the very rude manager to turn the music from the loud pre teen pop to something more suitable to people pregaming for a rock show and watching football. The manager didnt help despite us being the only party there. The manager was incredibly rude.

Best pre concert spot ever. Sit at the bar and pick from dozens of great beers or grab a table outside and either participate / watch beach volleyball + other yard games. Either way, it's hard to find places like this with so much to do within a very short walk to several live music venues.

The kitchen cranks out a small but tasty menu on concert nights. We opted to try the classics to include cheese burger with Mac and cheese along with a fantastic hot dog and hot fries. Condiment bar was a mess, but we all figured it out.

For a place that easily holds 200+ beer drinkers, the bathrooms

Private event review: We had our wedding welcome party at VBGB and I can’t speak more highly of the management and Alyssa. I booked them and originally told them the wrong date! But they were beyond accommodating and we worked to find a new solution. I was able to pre-purchase drink tickets for my guests and we had a private room to mingle in. If you’re looking for something easy and simple to meet and greet guests the night before your wedding I highly recommend them.

Parking can be a pain for anywhere in the music factory. Good selection of beer on tap love the options for different size of glasses. Love that we can keep our beers cold w the chilled bartop well. Bar foods pretty good too.
Been coming here for years and it just keeps getting better. The cinnamon bites are my favorite can't go wrong. The chicken feta sandwich is so good I go for just the sandwich sometimes. Service is always nice and quick

Sad that they took off the fried jalapeños but it's always a good spot to come to for a last minute lunch/dinner. Thank god they kept the hotdog option as well . They added a little too much salt to the fried but overall good
P.S. BRING BACK THE FRIED JALAPEĂ‘OS

True story...Went to a bar and ended up watching several beach volleyball league games!

Great vibe for a Monday! The offer a wide range of local microbrews on tap. I opted for a Birdsong Jalapeño Pale Ale which truly hit the spot on a hot afternoon. Service was great with the perfect pour

They have a small kitchen that serves appetizers. We had the tater tot nachos which were just ok & the fried pickles which were better.

Although they have ample indoor dining space, we opted for a picnic table outside. Watching beach volleyball outside felt like we were...at the beach

LOVED VBGB!!

So let me start by saying I didn't even know this place existed!! Me and a few people were at "Camp North End" and someone recommended we come here to eat afterwards.

This place was AMAZING! They had music playing when you first walk in along with TVs playing in the background- everyone looking like they were having a great time. Outside, people were playing volley ball (I believe - I'm writing this review late). There were picnic tables outside that would seat large groups accommodating the current climate of social distancing.

I ended up ordering the Beyond

Went in the other night to order those fabulous fried pickles....still a hit in my book. The order taker was friendly and he made sure we were well taken care of. The female cook was even more endearing as she quickly worked to make sure she got our order correct and seemed very pleasant, smiled at us and seemed happy to be doing her job! she caught my attention and just want to say thanks for being there during Covid to make sure our needs are being met for food :-) we appreciate businesses like yours. Keep up the great work and good food. We drove a distance to get dinner and it was even

This is a pretty interesting place. I have never been here before or in this area. So with that said, I am assuming pre-COVID that this entire area was a busy/booming area. It seemed to me as if there were other bars that were attached even with an outdoor venue that was closed. Fast forward to the review I am writing about.

You pull up and find a place around that has plenty of parking. Locate don the outside of the building were, I think six beach volleyball courts. This was absolutely booming and packed for my entire stay there.

We did sit outside and got to watch everyone play volleyball

That hot dog is killer! Chicken bites, skewers, wedge, all fantastic.

I had wango tango sauce on the bites and very nice balance of heat and sweet. Crispy and meaty.

Chicken skewers are a nice add on for cheap, though a tad dry, and still trying to figure out what I do with the orange sauce (spicy). Not really needed in my opinion, but definitely carries heat, if not just okay flavor.

Wedge is a wedge. Delicious.

The zweigle's hot dog though, takes the cake. It's a great balance of being processed food, but having a meaty texture, grilled perfectly, without tasting overly of salt

VBGB is the best place to head before a concert next door at The Fillmore. My personal favorite are the boneless chicken bites, but my boyfriend loves the tatchos.

VBGB has a very laidback vibe and a wide variety of NC beers which we like. The lines can be a bit long at the bar if it's before a concert, so make sure to get there early to grab a drink at the bar since there isn't wait staff coming around.

I came to VGBG on a random Saturday afternoon with my fiancé about a month ago.

It was chilly yet warm that day, so my fiancé and I grabbed a drink and sat outside while we played jumbo Connect 4. The place was pretty empty at the time we visited which was perfect for us since we were able to play Connect 4 continuously without anyone bothering us. We wanted to snack on something while we waited and asked for fries, but sad times...they don't serve fries. However, since I was starting to get hungry, we were there for only about an hour and then left. Great drink prices and great drink

VBGB is a rare gem in Charlotte! You can get food, beer, and play volleyball all in one place. It's located next to the Music Factory, making it the perfect spot to stop in before or after a show.

The food window inside has a few bar bites options. Get the totchos, they are a staple. Grab a giant beer from the bar and sit outside and enjoy hanging with friends or watching a sand volleyball game that is likely to be going on.

The bathrooms have plenty of stalls, but do get a little hot in the summer and dirty later into the night.

Parking is fairly easy as there are a few spots, if you

This is such a cool bar and I'm bummed that my experience here was so rushed. Alas, I had tickets to the Lizzo concert at the Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre which is right next to VBGB.

I was really wanting a cocktail before the concert started so I was grateful to find VBGB. They have an awesome outdoor area with picnic tables and volleyball courts. Indoors they have a really cool odd shaped bar with plenty of seating and lots of other seating options inside too. The Bartenders are attentive and quick. They know what they're doing.

When I walked in, I was worried that the drinks

OK...this may be more personal than objective? I'm not a fan of beer (martinis and hard liquor are more my thing); and not really into beer dives. Given that, there's no way I was going to love it here.

Despite the high ratings by others, I just wasn't thrilled to be here. Same as the time before (this was only my 2nd time here). The place gets way too packed, way too loud, and overall, I find it a bit obnoxious.

This time, I opted to order food (not Cider, like last time)...and the line was quite slow moving. Then I had to repeat my order 3X because the cashier couldn't

My brother-in-law introduced me to this bar several years before I moved to the Charlotte area and it's grown a big place in my heart! This isn't a super classy bar or a super divey bar... it's a good feel, people bar! If the sand volleyball, giant sized games and music doesn't pull you in, the staff and great beer selection will!

The food is really good and definitely a step up from regular bar food. I've had about everything on the menu so I won't bore you with reviewing every item on the menu, but I can share some of my favorite! Their beer cheese is on point,

Came in w/some fellow QC YE's as we were walking by and already on the verge of heatstroke, so the AC, food action, and cold brews were a welcome reprieve!

It is counter service for food and open seating. They had a Jazz Hands Basket Special since a Jazz Fest was happening next door. I got the spinach, feta chicken brat w/kraut, beer cheese & sweet honey bbq w:a side of latkes and had zero regrets!

The bar top is where it's at here! I wish I had thought to ask our bartender's name because he was so on point I wanted to hug him on multiple occasions!

First off, he brought
