Love the vibes here! We heard good things about this rooftop bar so decided to give it a try. We were greeted by Mara and let me say....hands down the best hostess hands down during our trip to Charlotte. My partner and I saw that there were no more open seating inside so she was very accommodating and awesome that she gave us a tour of the rooftop bar to show us the different options that were readily available for seating. One of the best bars in Uptown, with a view to die for! Inside: incredible food (M&T Burger FTW) with creative drinks (Penicillin is 🔥🔥) and incredible staff! Outside: igloos, fire pits, and stellar views of Uptown! A+++

Bartender on the rooftop bar was rude but made good drinks so I guess it was a win/lose battle. Loved the atmosphere and how it was a time limit to have a section so it was a fair trade for those who were in line waiting to be seated. I felt like the two hour limit was just the right amount of time. The format of how to be seated was very well organized too. I liked how efficient and smooth the waiting/seating process was proceeded by the staff. You can tell they were well-trained and knew what worked for their work flow/system. Went to Merchant and Trade to celebrate my birthday with some friends. The line to get in was not too long and the wait was not long to get a table once you add your name to the waitlist. The food and drinks were great along with great service. The atmosphere was nice, great views of uptown Charlotte and great music.

It's a solid ok. I'd recommend it as a great place for meeting friends who want to see the rooftop bar scene in Uptown.
M&T is one of those rooftop venues that everyone in Charlotte talks about as a great example of upscale dining in Uptown. But when people have more comments about the heated toilet seats than the actual food and drinks I think that's telling.
The specialty cocktails are typically great. On the last visit, I started with the worst Whiskey Ginger of my year and finished with a solid 10/10 Old Fashion. The Wake-up Call #2 is delightful, I do however recommend getting a double shot

Best rooftop in Charlotte! I went here on a Wednesday night and it was such a good time. We had a great waitress who even showed us the best spots for pics and took pics of my group! Drinks were good and food was actually really good too. The staff were super kind and attentive, and it’s very organized to get to the bar or get a table. Definitely would recommend!

I was invited to this lounge for appetizers an drinks. It’s a little confusing to get there on the outside of the building it’s Angelines? You go in the hostess greets you ID you then your directed to the elevator. Once you get on the rooftop there is another hostess. We decided to get a table. The bar is available as well. We’re escorted to our table. The view is AMAZING!!! This is the reason this spot is so popular. We order drinks an appetizers. I ordered a Lemon drop martini it was mediocre. Then the appetizers came out I ordered Mussels. They were not appealing an definitely wasn’t

Pros: great views and atmosphere. Perfect spot for a picture or to catch sunset. Nice bartenders and staff.
Cons: Long wait to get in. Overpriced (charged $60 for two house cabs and an appetizer). Food was just ok.
Don’t think I would return unless it was with guests from out of town.

Celebrated my 21st birthday here at Merchant & Trade. Had an amazing experience. The staff was very attentive and the bar tender Jack was very good at his job. The hostess that night was very sweet and even let me charge my phone because it was on life support. We got the chicken sandwich and some drinks and both were phenomenal! Definitely worth your time!

I definitely recommend getting to this place early or you’ll be waiting a while. They only do reservations for parties of six or more people. Love the atmosphere of this place! It’s a vibe. I did not eat here but the drinks were well made. A little pricey but I think you’re paying for the experience. The server was very nice and attentive. It was very hot with the sun out, I went last weekend with a friend (7/30/21). After a while they opened the patio door from the inside. In the summer it’s probably best to go after sundown if you don’t like the heat. Will go again! Beautiful view of
