Services
The Mama Ricotta's Team is able to provide cocktail receptions, family style or buffet style catering services as well as a variety of drink options. Our four or five course family style menus feature lots of dining choices, and menus can be customized for any event. Special touches like additional candles and white table linens are available for rent.

Amas Ravioli and Penne a la Vodka were delivered quickly and perfectly prepared. That’s their claim to fame: pasta cooked as it should be, al dente.
Greeting at front door was terrific too, which many restaurants are currently struggling to nail down.
The next time you’re looking for some great Italian fare get into this place.

Loved our first experience at Mama Ricotta’s! We had reservations, so we didn’t wait long. During the wait, we watched amazingly delicious entrees pass by and really had a tough time deciding what to order, because we saw so many awesome choices. Our server, Matt, was really on top of it! The atmosphere was quaint, food delish, and the meatballs are HUGE! Best of all the prices are really unbelievable for the location and quality of food. We will definitely be back.

First time eating here. Food and service was good. We went at lunch time and had about a 35 minute wait; we did not make a reservation. I ordered the Tortellini Carbonara. It was pretty good. Potion size was a little small, but we had asked for extra of their complimentary bread rolls. The bread rolls were REALLY GOOD đź‘Ť. This would be a place I would go to again. A great experience.

I write reviews under 2 circumstances...horrible experience or beyond amazing food. In this case the service was excellent and the food surpassed THAT and the prices made me feel like they were just GIVING THE FOOD AWAY. I had the soup of the day a broth base with chicken and kale, a Penne Chicken and Broccoli with Alfredo sauce, pizza and… garlic knots...everything was a 10. I am so impressed but how delicious the food was and I ain't easily impressed (just read my other Google reviews). As a matter of fact, I'm eating my leftovers for breakfast

I failed to take pics of the interior, but I was very nice. Atmosphere wasn't too loud conversations were not loud and belligerent. My husband ordered the lasagna, which he says was delicious. I ordered the Penne, Broccoli and chicken and it was magnificent! I really liked the hint of lemon in it. We also had the O'Flannery cocktail, which wasn't bad.

I was trying to eat here, for my first time - drove from Gastonia and was told upon arrival that they were only sitting/serving those who had reservations. This isn’t posted anywhere. It’s also a little ridiculous to have THREE hostesses when you aren’t sitting your entire restaurant. Very disappointed and doesn’t leave a good taste in my mouth as a first time experience.

Finally an Italian restaurant that is absolutely Delish! From the moment you walk in till you roll yourself out. The food is amazing, the vino is plentiful, the dessert is to die for and the service from our waiter Derek was IMPECCABLE!! A definite must to all who inquire this fabulous restaurant! buon appetito!!

This place is absolutely fantastic. It's not just the best Italian in Charlotte, but one if the best restaurants I have been to anywhere. I have had the lasagna before and it's great. I had the Penne Anna Vodka this time and it blew me away! I didn't want to stop eating it as the taste was just too delicious. Make sure to come early or get reservations for large groups.

You are greeted upon entrance by their friendly staff. I was on the wait list about 40 minutes on a Saturday evening before I was seated at the pizza bar. I selected the first available table option.
They start you off with rolls and a dipping oil. It helped to hold me over for the brief wait until our appetizer came. We ordered the goat cheese appetizer. It was pretty good.
For the main course I ordered the Parmesan Chicken with spaghetti it was flavored well. You get a huge amount of chicken. I do wish the chicken was a little bit more crispy but overall
