This company is deceitful and untrustworthy. They make claims about their units that are blatant lies, "finished" basements with painted cement brick walls, and steal people's money with their "holding" deposit then refusing to refund it. They charge absurd prices for ghetto living. Do not move here, if you are looking for a new place do not even apply. You will end up disgusted after seeing their rentals, and short 200$ when they rob you.

I have lived in my townhouse for 3 years. The previous owners was horrible. They did not take care of the property at all. So over a year ago they sold the property to This company Candlelight/ Monarch. So new leases, new policies, new rules they even raised the rent. With all the problems with this property it made no sense to raise the rent until the problems were taken care of. Everybody in my building was told give a list of all the issues (major/minor) that was going on with there townhouses. I cannot speak for everybody else but I know I made a list and turned it in. I called to inquire about these apartments and was told that I should put down a security deposit if I was interested because the apartments go fast and I would get it back if I changed my mind in a week before my move in date. I just called to say I couldn't move forward and was told that I wouldn't get my deposit back because I had 72 hours… after I was approved to cancel and it stated that in all the legal nonsense. No one reads that stuff and I should have been told the right information on the phone. I'm a broke college student and I really need that money. Be careful if you aren't
