Comfortable campsites, in a layout which feels private even when the entire site is full, as it was last night. Reasonable nightly rates, showers well-maintained, plenty of water and power at hookups.

Do not go here if you are even slightly ill. They will kick you out on the spot and possibly yell at you. This is understandable in the era of Covid, but it's still rude and callous.
Their bath house looks clean, but it has a terrible, gag-inducing odor, and a big sign to keep the door closed.
Camping spots are crammed in extremely close to each other. There is no real privacy, like at Grandfather Campground.
The so-called wifi included in the price had a very poor signal, and my security software said it would be high risk to use it, so I used my cell phone data instead. Even that was spotty

An ok RV campground. One side is next to nice little creek, there are plenty of trees throughout the area. BUT If you like an over crowed campground then you will love Flintlock. At one time they had spaces between each site - Not anymore! Really no we're to park you vehicle. You are packed in so tight. Our sites was so close to our neighbors it felt like we were family.
Staff are great and friendly, just hated the sardine in a can feeling

The staff was friendly. There was a nice creek running through the campsites. They had a quaint space with a pool table and books. Lots of things to do. The bathrooms were not great. They stayed wet and not well maintained. Close to Boone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Flintock Campground. The site's are tight, but alot of the campers around our site live there 6 to 8 months out of the year. They are all friendly and they all meet at the office at nite and chit-chat about there day. It was nice to see and to hear there stories. They have pot luck dinners sometimes and when we were there they had planned on having a local couple play music one nite, the weather was not good and they had to cancel unfortunately. The river is very cute and there's a cool area once you walk over the wood bridge to the cabin and tent sites that we checked

Enjoying the stay. Real friendly staff and residents. Helped us get our rental car. Sites are a little close but very quiet at night even from 105 traffic. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice campground, friendly staff. The sites are small and you hear traffic from the main road, but if you have a site adjacent to the creek it helps drown it out some. Bathroom facilities are clean and it's mostly quiet at night. Family & dog friendly.

Quick response on last minute availability from site form (I am not always great aboutcalling so really appreciate responsiveness to contact form inquiries). Fantastic customer service - super friendly. Great people camping here. Backed up against a creek and forest which are beautiful. Makes you not even want to leave to explore Boone. Quiet campground..good amenities. Would absolutely come back.

Great office staff, beautiful sites by a peaceful stream. This campground is on top of their game. The entrance is a little challenging but nothing overwhelming. Awesome bathhouse and restrooms! You shouldn't be disappointed! Would 100% stay again!

Very nice, small campground. Some sites like 37 & 38 are rather small, no place for your vehicle. Love being right on the creek

This is a perfect place to stop if you are looking for hot clean showers and a place to do laundry. We did tent camping and the campsites are cramped in and does not leave much room for privacy. But I would recommend this place if you need facilities. The campground is next to a busy noisy road. Owners are helpful and friendly and are doing a good job maintaining the place. Quite hours are from 11pm which I think should be moved to 10pm.

I would definitely recommend Flintlock Campground! Nice location near running water. Suitable for all types of camping from tenting to pop-ups, to hard shell trailers and motor homes. Flintlock also features log cabins. Showers and restrooms were clean and warm! We were there at the end of October with temperatures in the low 30’s. They even provided space heaters for no additional charge.

This was the most beautiful campground! The river that runs through it is gorgeous and lulled me to sleep at night. 🏕⛰😄🍁 The colors of the trees were stunning! The host of the campground was soooo… accommodating and their little camp store had everything that you need if you happened to forget something. Blowing rock is only 25 minutes away and this campground is a nice quiet retreat from the city.
