Jeff and Lisa Ward purchased the Silver Star Cafe business in March of 2010, when it was a breakfast/lunch deli and market. The goal? To evolve it into a community gathering spot that celebrates the diverse regional foods of the American melting pot, with live acoustic roots music and warmly welcoming hospitality reflected in our service and atmosphere.

We work exceptionally hard, and are humbled to receive many formal acknowledgements recognizing our dream. But we measure our success in the faces of our guests, with the absolute privilege of getting to know them and their families. We are honored to be part of their lives as they come through our door every day and night.
Services
We do not take reservations for lunch, but we are now taking reservations for weekend brunch! Dinner reservations are highly recommended-- especially on our music nights! We are located on the back side of the Park City Golf Course/ Cross Country Ski Track, and at the base of the Silver Star Lift of Park City Mountain Resort, part of the Silver Star village.
We are honored to have received wonderful media recognition and have been fortunate to earn a few "bests" along the way for our food, service, atmosphere and view. We are off the beaten path-- a small, tucked-away spot that someone has to tell you about. But once people find us, they come back again and again.
We're still not quite sure how they found us, but are so glad they did! They are such good people, and so supportive of small family-owned restaurants. We told them we weren't a diner, drive-in or dive, but they chose to feature us as a small, Mom-and-Pop, neighborhood hidden-gem sort of place. It still plays on the Food Network regularly.
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, we feature an acoustic music dinner show that we call "Park City Limits, " featuring all-acoustic folk, jazz, blues, Americana, bluegrass. This is an intimate dinner show with great singer-songwriters and musicians from our region as well as national touring artists, performing for guests of Silver Star Cafe who are dining with us that evening.
We are always looking for great musical artists who are a fit for our acoustic music dinner shows! We work with a variety of artists, from local and regional performers to national touring artists. We are interested in skilled, talented, confident musicians and performers who play all-acoustic Americana, folk, bluegrass, blues, jazz, and roots music.

Exceptional service. Our server from Chile was very kind, a 10 out of 10. However while the food was decent, it was way overpriced for what we received. $135 tab for two stingy portioned entrees and a couple of cocktails that were mostly ice. Also, we arrived right when the dinner seatings began. We didn't have advance reservations yet it was half full so I thought we were in luck to get a table for two. Plenty of tables empty yet they made us sit on bar stools up against a window. And still many open tables by the time we left. Management must be happy serving only the wealthy regulars at half

Great food with excellent service. Good parking availability. The price was very reasonable for a ski resort town given the quality of the food and service. Part of the dining is in a yurt which was very cool. I would encourage making a reservation.

Best place to dine in Park City! The reviews are right - this place is a hidden gem. Everyone in our group absolutely loved their meals - we had their wild mushroom dish, steaks, fried gluten free chicken, and more. Everything was so good and the service was top notch. The servers are also very knowledgeable about food allergies and their menu is almost entirely gluten free!

It's a bit of a drive up the mountain, but with that you get a beautiful view from the restaurant. We went for brunch and the food was so good! I got the huevos rancheros and my husband got the reuben sandwich, quick service and the cafe wasn't busy at all.

After a hike, getting brunch Sunday afternoon was great. Many fine items on the menu made for a tough decision, but everyone at the table enjoyed what they picked.

Great food - great environment - well fashioned drinks. Our server was fantastic and helpful. The live music was excellent.
The half chicken, fried, was flavorful and moist. The meatballs were fantastic. The fried brussel sprouts had an excellent taste to them. The mushroom dish was flavorfu, but I recommend adding a protein.

Located in an old silver mine. Great location.
Can't go wrong with any food choice. Pizzas are made in a wood fired oven and have a thin and crispy crust.
By far my favorite is the Monte Cristo sandwich. It's french toast with ham and cheese and a blueberry jam topping. A must try.

Went here with my family, thinking it was gonna be a little hole in the wall café or diner. We did not expect a fancy resort looking restaurant and it looked very formal and way out of our league. We didn't have a reservation obviously, but they had room for us inside--just not on the patio.
Let's be honest, the prices were a little bit daunting and there didnt seem to be a whole lot for the dinner menu. But we decided to splurge and found the food to be amazing. Everyone had the elk burger, while I had the Mahi Mahi in a curry with rice. And I cannot boast enough about their food!! I was super

The patio is beautiful, amazing outdoor dining, and since Park City is up in the mountains, you can expect it to be somewhat cooler than in SLC.
The cocktails are quite good, a bit small for the price but they make up for it in uniqueness.
The food is amazing! They have a fixed price menu option that comes with an entree and a small appetizer and small dessert. My partner got the steak with that (app was some turkey meatballs that were so delicious, and the dessert was a mixed berry tart). I got the half chicken (comes grilled or fried, I got fried) in a peach based sauce, with a side of the

Such a great little cafe in Park City. I was visiting from out of town and it was recommended by a local and I'm so glad I went. Quick & friendly service, great food, and an amazing view. If I'm back in the area I will definitely be stopping again.
