What sets us apart from almost all other nutrition programs is that here at St. Petersburg Nutrition we are a team of Registered Dietitian's (RD) who are licensed to practice in the state of Florida. We are the food and nutrition experts that only practice evidence based nutrition and can help improve medical diagnosis and conditions though nutrition therapy.
Nutrition can overwhelming at times, learn how to keep it simple while ditching diets and accomplishing your goals long-term. It can be hard knowing exactly where to start and what changes will have the most impact. In office, telephonic and/or secure HIPPA compliant video coaching platform available if you are on the go or may live a distance away.
Metabolism is the process of converting food (calories) into energy. The efficiency with which your body does this is referred to as your metabolic rate. Many factors affect a person's metabolic rate: weight, age, body composition, hormone levels, and gender making it a highly unique number.

Understanding your body's unique metabolic rate will allow your Dietitian to customize your weight loss, weight gain, body composition or maintenance program more precisely to meet your goals.It can screen for a slowed metabolism that may explain frustrated attempts to lose weight in the past. It can reveal changes in your metabolism during the weight loss process that can help trouble shoot a frustrating plateau.
I'll work with you to create a highly tailored nutrition prescription to reach your health and lifestyle goals. Your customized nutrition prescription can then be used to create a perfect meal plan for you! One of the biggest hurdles to eating healthy is the time and effort we need to put into meal planning, grocery shopping and cooking in order to be successful.
Medicare may cover Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) ONLY if you have diabetes and/or kidney disease, AND your doctor refers you for this service (see referral form to download below). Your doctor MUST check one of the diagnoses codes listed on the nutrition referral form and a signature for Medicare to cover services.

Whether you want to lose weight or just get smarter about how you eat, I highly recommend working with Jeff.
I started working with him in December and largely due to his insights and expertise, not only did I lose a few pounds - but my cholesterol and triglycerides improved significantly during that time.

If you have ever thought about seeing a nutritionist don’t hesitate just do it! Jeff has helped me attain my goal in a reasonable amount of time. Working with Jeff was great! I was struggling with losing the last of my pregnancy weight. Jeff was very patient, encouraging and informative on not only how to lose the weight, but taught me how food and the body work together. It was a great experience and I was able to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight! Jeff really helped me make some necessary nutrition changes that are sustainable for me in the long run. He was able to give me great food recommendations on what to add and subtract from my diet, and helped me learn a lot more about the harmful ingredients manufacturers put into foods that may have been contributing to some of the ailments I was experiencing. I also learned about my metabolism, and what I was actually burning versus what I thought I was burning. Jeff is amazing. Can't say enough good things about this place! Their team is extremely professional and kind. Brenda is seriously the best at what she does. She has a very realistic approach to nutrition and she prioritizes balance over restriction. The recommendations & guidance she has given me have been easy to sustain and incorporate into my daily life. Brenda is phenomenal in that she is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and works hard to personalize nutrition goals. She helped my husband, who was diagnosed with diabetes, lose weight without feeling like he was on a diet.
