O.T. PLUS was established in 1984 in response to the need for comprehensive, coordinated, community-based TBI rehabilitation programs and was the first company to establish treatment programs of this kind. I went from being a treatment technician at Foothills Treatment Plant helping to produce potable water and megawatts of hydroelectric power for the Denver metro area to a broken marionette.
I fell 20 feet down into a cistern and I became known as "Crash Monty", a TBI survivor.

Services
To advance wellness and quality of life by utilizing a careful multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation for individuals who have experienced traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Take THE NEXT STEP with O.T. Plus! Back in the 1980's, Susan Hydle and Jane Letsinger were working as Occupational Therapists at Colorado's rehabilitation specialty center, Craig Hospital.
Clients served by O.T. PLUS include individuals with injuries resulting in physical or cognitive problems. The injuries range from mild to severely disabling catastrophic injuries such as spinal cord injury or acquired brain injury. Treatment plans are established based on evaluation of deficits and designed to develop, restore, and maintain maximum movement, function, and quality of life.
Speech-language pathology provides assessment and treatment interventions for disorders of speech, language, swallowing and cognition. Addresses cognitive aspects of communication including attention, memory, problem-solving, and executive functions. Utilizes cognitive compensatory strategies to improve function and help to increase independence.
Therapeutic small group activities enhance social skills, create mind and body balance and improve overall physical and mental wellness. All activities are under the instruction of licensed therapists. Participants will actively participate, as able, in moving to music for functional strength and endurance activities.
