Dr. Sherwood treated my daughter for years, from about age 3 or 4 to quite recently for a cleaning (she is now 15). Things were fine until we sought a second opinion after he offered an expensive treatment plan. The second dentist reviewed x-rays sent from Dr. Sherwood's office and examined our daughter. He suggested we watch and wait for a year. In addition, my stepdaughter and her husband, both dentists, also looked at the x-rays and agreed with the watch and wait advice. My son broke his front tooth while on vacation with his grandparents. I called and was able to get an appointment for the next day. Dr. Sherwood and his team were amazing at working with me from across the country to get everything taken care of! Everyone we encountered from the office was extremely friendly and empathetic. The work done to restore his front tooth was immaculate! Highly recommend!

Everything at Sherwood Pediatric Dentistry is "top notch". The administrative team sets the bar high for all other medical administrative staff that I encounter - none comes close to their efficiency, kindness, calmness, and organization. Dr. Sherwood and his medical staff create an atmosphere of care, capability, kindness, security and no shame.
We found them because of complex dental issues with my then 4 yr old who had sensory issues. There we no problems or issues with any of the procedures needed.

Dr. Sherwood takes his time to explain my children's medical conditions, give advice on how to maintain long-term good dental care, and is very patient with a wiggly child. Highly recommend bringing your children here. Felt very safe during COVID with everyone wearing masks, HEPA filters and social distancing of patients.

Dr Sherwood and his staff have cared for my boys' teeth for four years. I just got off the phone with them (I was rescheduling an appointment) and thought, I should hop over to google and write a review! My son had extra-sensitivity in one of his teeth, Dr. Sherwood was able to make time to see him the same day. You normally don't get this great service anywhere else. Best Pediatric Dentistry, we have been with Dr. Sherwood for more than a decade, it is almost sad that the kids (now 14 and 16) are growing out of Pediatric Dentistry.

My daughter had a tiny cavity on one of her 6 month checkups a year ago and Dr. Sherwood said a viable option would be to paint her tooth with concentrated fluoride and watch it for 6 months. When we went back 6 months later he again opted to "paint" it. By the time we were scheduled for the next 6 month visit it was cavity so large I could see it when she opened her mouth. Now she is going to have a root canal and a crown. The amount of pain, trauma, worry, and expense has been exponentially increased. We are working with an endodontist and will find a new dentist.

We have been going there since my son was a baby. 5 years later he thinks it is a treat to go to the dentist. He seriously loves being there! They have always been very kind and respectful of my child. They… address every concern carefully and all the staff is super friendly.

I've been taking my kids here for two years and we have loved it. Dr Sherwood and his staff have been very kind. My son even had a "ridge" that needed to be filled on his back tooth. He filled it with a very easy, inexpensive fill that was painless. And did I mention inexpensive?
He accepts our dental insurance. They are great at scheduling. And really nice.
I wish they'd be my dentist, but they said I'm to old!

My kids love Dr. Sherwood and his whole office. We've been going there for 7 years (since my 10 year old had her first appointment) and my children both look forward to their dentist visits tremendously.
I don't write very many Google reviews, but I wanted to say that my experience has been very different than some of the reviews above me. I've had good experiences with the staff. And there are a couple of complaints above that I'd like to address.

My two kids go here and we couldn't be happier. They are super organized: when you walk in they hand you a printed school letter and immediately schedule your next appointment. You get text and email notifications. Staff is super warm and friendly. Our son used to fear the dentist but now that we are here, he loves it.

Dr. Sherwood and clinical staff (dental assistance) are great. The office staff, especially the Office Manager David makes the whole visit negative.
My children and I look forward to visiting with Dr Sherwood and the ladies, but I hate having to check in and out, knowing I have to hear or see David.
He is rude, even when he tries to be nice over the phone you can hear he has 0 customer service skills.
Since the office has moved and the group have become a lot more busier. With this change you can see a lot of negativity and I have witnessed negative things being said by David about his peers

On the positive side, Dr. Sherwood has a great demeanor with children and we had a positive experience in that regard. However, this practice has some of the most totalitarian policies of any medical service provider I have ever experienced. My two children we patients until we were fired for violating their on-time policies. Over the course of 2 1/2 years, my children were "late" for 4 appointments and we missed two appointments. Our family loves this pediatric dentistry practice. The entire experience from the waiting room, to the cleaning, the exam, and the consultation are as pleasant as possible. My 3 and 5-year-old girls and my husband have always been pleased with the service from Dr. Sherwood. I have struggled with the cost and some of the hard sell for services and scheduling but as long as the girls were happy, I was happy.
However, when I got new insurance and called to cancel their appointments a month out I was transferred to David in patient accounting/insurance. I explained that to get the most out of my new insurance plan that I need to go see dentists in a certain group - which Dr. Sherwood is not in. David was VERY aggressive about trying to keep my kids at the practice

Both of my son's are seen here twice a year and the older one has had two "procedures" that have been top notch! We do have insurance and its only average but our quotes have actually been lower when we pay after our appointments. We have never pre-paid or have had a problem with the billing. I throughly enojy the office staff, medical professionals and Dr. Sherwood. My kids love the office and NEVER want to leave.

Love everything about this office but the billing. If you have insurance with a cheap co-pay - GO HERE and my review is a 5 start! If you are not insured as I am there keep reading I was very disappointed. I was misquoted for our visit - I called to ask how much the initial visit would be - I was told $90 and then for cash I would get a 15% discount on top of that. When we went to pay our charge was $154 - WFT? I inquired about it politely and I was told oh yes, the consultation was $90 and the cleaning was $87 - Thats about DOUBLE! They brushed it off with a slight laugh - haha - oh thats silly

My special needs son has been a patient for 4 years, but I think I've had it with this office. Dr. Sherwood is very nice and considerate of my son, but I'm tired of being overcharged and made to pay for a procedure waaaaay in advance in order to hold an appointment. I can understand treating new patients this way, but established patients ?? The people who run the office are a bit disorganized and they have to run things by Dr. Sherwood before they will change the treatment plan (Really? I thought I was the parent?) So, I'm off to find another dentist.

My kids have been going to Dr. Sherwood for about 10 years now and I can tell you that he is marvelous. Taking my kids to the dentist used to be a scary thought but not anymore. The best thing about Dr. Sherwood is he never does any unnecessary procedures. For example, several times my kids have needed work done on a tooth that is about to come out on it's own soon so he would recommend just leaving it alone. He doesn't go after the bucks, he does what is in the best interest of the child. The whole staff is amazing.

I just got off the phone with a woman in this office who was so unhelpful and frankly, rude. My son fell and nearly knocked his tooth out and our pediatrician referred us to this office but I will not be going there based on the terse and unhelpful nature of the employees.
