We are Willow, a small restaurant serving seasonal tasting menus, hand selected wines, and craft beers. We are very excited to be cooking for you in our slightly redesigned space, perfect for couples and very small groups. Our new format will be 6-courses of our Chef's Tasting Menu, for $100, and supplemental pairings ranging from $30-40 dollars.
Select wines available by the glass for $13, or bottles for $45. Corkage is $30/750mL. In the event that you would feel more comfortable not dining out at the moment, we have launched a subscription meal kit & pantry box service, available each month! If you're looking for other ways to support us, head to our Merchandise store for a cookbook, t-shirts, or a set of Willow Art prints.

An elevated dining experience you must try at least once. The chefs enjoy what they do and their creations show it. Each course is introduced by the chef with an explanation of the inspiration, techniques used, and/or ingredients. If you opted for a pairing, the pairing choice is also explained. Their is a non alcoholic pairing too which was actually very good. If you're a solo diner, you will be perfectly fine here. The community dining experience left me feeling very comfortable.

Came home to PDX to visit friends and family and we came to Willows it has always been a good place to eat and hang, i love the family feeling when you are here, and the only reason why i am giving Willow a 4 star is that my food came out cold, but they took it back and fixed it but then 17 minutes later my friends food came out cold, so I'm not sure if they are leaving the food on the counter and forgetting but they did make things right so we really appreciate that, thank you.
Will definitely be back the customer service was good the staff was fast and the food as always taste delicious

Look no further, Portlandians, Willow is one of the best restaurants I've ever been and if you should call in for a seat before all spots are sold out!
Must get: the entire menu, and the non-alcoholic pairing
Meh: nothing
Missed out: the next seasonal menu change
It is incredibly rare to attend a restaurant that truly captures what it is like to have your dining experience be a dinner and a show. Outside of the Michelin experiences, Willow is one of the few restaurants with a wonderfully curated beverage pairing that elevated each dish to new heights. If you are attending with a friend,

I came here to celebrate my anniversary with my partner and both of us enjoyed our dinner here. I truly believe this place deserves all the great reviews that they currently have.
To start off, we entered this restaurant and we were immediately greeted by John. Throughout the whole time we were there, John was talked with us a lot and we got to learn about the history of this restaurant and he talked with us a lot about wine. We did their 6 course dishes and also did their wine pairing. I can say that everything was delicious. If you ever visit Portland, this restaurant is a MUST for you to

My husband and I went to Willow for an anniversary dinner during our trip to Portland and we had a great experience!
I tried to book the restaurant about a week earlier but it was fully booked. Then I emailed them to see if there happened to be a spot open. One of the chefs, John kindly contacted me and booked the spot for us!
We went in on a Wednesday night, the ambiance was really cozy and we were warmly greeted but the staff! The courses on the tasting menu were all very delicious and exhibited a great variety of ingredients and cooking techniques. They were thoughtful, flavorful and well

I've been here twice now and I can see why this place boasts a 5 star rating on yelp.
For 60$ (+ 30ish for regular wine or beer pairing) you get quite a wonderful expirience in a place that looks like a living room.
There were 6 courses for the night, each with a very unique flavor and background. John explains what you are eating and the inspiration behind why they decided to make that dish. This also includes the pairings if you should opt for them, I went with the beer pairing and found that they included some very unique beers I haven't heard of from some more well known breweries

It is hard to think of something to say that almost 200 others have already said about this wonderful dining experience. I stumbled upon this restaurant while researching places to eat in Portland that I have not tried yet. Upon reading reviews of others I quickly went to book a reservation. Since I was reserving for four people I had to book 3 months out.
The wait was more than worth it. The owner called a few days prior to our reservation to ask if anyone in my party had dietary restrictions. That is a first. It shows they put care into each guest ahead of time.

An revelatory encounter with flavors and textures which must be experienced. John & Doug made this a memorable evening. The six course meal combined seasonally fresh vegetables and fruits with an expertise and creativity. There are multiple beverage pairings offered with the meals. Two wine, a beer and a non alcoholic offering. I highly suggest you try one or more. We had a party off five and tried the house wine and the non alcoholic versions. Not everyone liked every pairing of course, but each was very thoughtful.
TO THE FOOOOOOD!!!!
Doug and John made each dish very flavorful

Amazing experience, the monthly menus are masterfully crafted and the owners really show their passion for creating these wonderful food experiences. Don't come here if you just want to eat food - come here if you want to be led through a culinary journey. Very reasonably priced considering the experience! Don't forget to buy a jar of salted caramels on your way out so you can share it with your friends (or not, nobody has to know) and tell them about the fantastic experience you had at Willow!

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Intimate setting (10 people per sitting) with unique, carefully curated meals, that delight the palate. Yum, yum, yum. Also, beer pairing was on point. Their non alcoholic drinks also sounded incredible, next visit I plan to do the non alcoholic pairing. This place is the best kept secret in PDX. Can’t wait to go back.

Had a wonderful dinner at Willow tonight. John and Doug are very casual, like having dinner at a friend's house. Everything was very creative...very interesting ingredient and flavor combinations that worked together perfectly. And very nice wine pairing. All at a very nice price. Portland at its finest.

Willow offers a rather unique approach to organizing your dining experience. The dishes are prepared and served on a communal counter by a team of two, and this team works out a miracle – a sophisticated combination fresh local ingredients, skilfully transformed into a culinary marvel, followed by a simple, almost home-style dish that explodes with surprisingly deep flavours; all served with great attention to detail and accompanied by a story around the ingredients and, sometimes, the meal idea itself.
Willow is definitely one of the top New American restaurants in Portland. Oh, don't miss

One of the best dining experiences in my life. Jon and Doug (the two chefs) host you at their restaurant, and serve you a fantastic six course prix fixe dinner that they make right before your eyes. The environment is intimate and you really get to know everyone around you. When we were there, Jon hosted at the front and Doug worked mostly in the kitchen.
