I'd say it's a decent place to live in. Prices were on point for the area. A bit on the older side but maintenance is always there to fix anything and everything. Never had any issues with the neighbours. The manager was nice and never had any problems. She helped out with a lot of things when it came to my lease. My current apartment management, however, was not able to verify rental history with this place though. Not sure why.

I recently placed a call to inquire about a tour.
I spoke with a female who stated she had 2 units available, then she quickly quoted the price. Which I was informed was 950 plus for a 1 bedroom with no washer and dryer in the unit. When I stated thank you, the female replied “oh you can’t afford that”.
I replied, no I pay 1,020 currently for a washer and dryer in my 2 bedroom upper condo. So, if I am going to pay 1000 per month I need a washer and dryer in my unit. She then laughed and said good luck, then hung up.
This was the most disgusting customer service experience I have encountered

Worst treatment ever! I went for seeing the apartments for inquiring. The woman there asked me pointing to my office bag what is this and where is your car? I mentioned that I came via Uber. And her response was we don't have any apartment availablity here. I told her that I received your voicemail about the apartments and that is why I am visiting. But she gave me the most disrespectful smile and said just got booked. I checked in the online posting and it mentioned that the apartments are available and I showed her that. I just relocated from Arizona and even if I don't have car, it doesn't matter

The apartments are very nice however, they are a bit old but I like the charm it gives it. The people around me were very nice, I never had any issues with anyone. The manager, Darlene is SUCH a sweet heart. She really went above and beyond helping me move in and out. She takes care of EVERY issue ASAP after you let her know. I really enjoyed my stay here!

My daughter, a college student at UMass Lowell, was given a 6 month co-op in Detroit, MI. We needed to find her an apt and not knowing anything about MI, we were scrambling. I was lucky to come across Overbrook Village and Darlene, the manager. She made me feel comfortable about the location and the security of the building. She was there to answer all my questions and address all my concerns. Moving in went off without a hitch and my daughter felt safe in her new apt. Her stay here is coming to an end but the experience was a good one. I would recommend Overbrook Village for a short or long stay
