Stephen is the best guitar teacher in Irvine area!!! (I’ve studied with other teachers before...) Stephen asked me what are the types of the music I like before I started and he designed the lesson plan for me to help me to reach my goal. The lessons with him was fun!! I started playing with acoustic guitar and switching to electric guitar after six months.

Incredible lessons with Stephen. Highly recommended!!!
I just realized how important to have a teacher right in front of me to guide and correct the way I play when I had the 1st class with him. He is knowledgeable and seems like he has lots of experience dealing with the student like me. LOL
Just like everyone else, I learned from youtube videos and took few months online live lessons with other instructor. It was convenient but I knew something was missing.

Stephen is the coolest guy ever. He’s a funny and caring dude. He has the ability to bring out your individuality by giving you techniques that you can’t find on YouTube. This guy is the real deal. I have only been taking lessons for less than a year and I have experienced tremendous growth. He’s worth a shot if you’re thinking about taking guitar lessons!

Stephen is a great guitar teacher. He keeps the lessons varied and interesting and always ties them together to emphasise “big picture” concepts and music theory as opposed to just teaching me to memorize songs.
He also does a great job keeping my 7 year old son interested and motivated to practice which is not an easy task.

Stephen is a professional, knowledgeable and patient teacher. He was recommended by my friend's older brother and my neighbor, who have studied with him for years. They both told me he is the best guitar instructor in Newport & Irvine area. I have been taking lesson with him for almost two years now. I have a lot of fun working with him. He is also very accommodating with my schedule. Excellent teacher!!! Look forward to my next guitar class!!!

I started studying with Stephen about 7 months ago and I am so happy I did. My playing has greatly improved to a level I never could have achieved on my own. One of the things I like about Stephen’s teaching is how he tailors your lessons mostly to areas of music you Like. I say mostly because he does expand your wheelhouse with other types of music you may not have thought about playing. For instance, I am not much of a reggae fan, but Stephen introduced me to bar chords using Sublime, a band while not entirely reggae, has a strong reggae influence.
