Dr. Kas grew up in San Jose and is a local High School graduate. He received his Bachelor's with honors from U.C. Davis in 1999 and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry in 2003, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Kas received specialized training at the Illinois Eye Institute and the Brooklyn VA Hospital.
Here at Kas Eye Center, we know how important proper eye care is. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of service so you can have the vision you deserve. We truly believe in routine eye examinations so that you can see as clearly as possible. Once you have to get glasses or contacts, it is even more important to watch the health of your eyes.
LASIK stands for laser in-situ keratomileusis and is a popular surgery to correct vision problems. LASIK can help people who are nearsighted or farsighted, as well those who have astigmatism. LASIK works by reshaping the cornea with a laser, which allows light to be correctly focused onto the retina.
We also perform temporary and non-dissolving punctal plugs. These are used to close the ducts that help with the overflow of tears. If you stop the tears from draining out of your eye, you will have more tears in your eyes. We start with a temporary one to see if it is going to help before trying a more permanent arrangement.

Dr. Kas is absolutely wonderful! He's extremely thorough, uses state-of-the-art equipment and explains his process patiently. His attention to detail is fantastic, too. We found his office by reviews and proximity. We are EXTREMELY happy with the Doctor and his staff. Dr. Kas is very knowledgeable and always addresses any issues I've had with great, sound advice! I always come out of there with a new pair of glasses! They will spend as much time as you need to choose the perfect pair and their prices are reasonable as well!

I was referred by my girlfriend to go see her Doctor for contacts. She highly recommended Dr. Kas, and I can see why.
Dr. Kas was so thorough on his exam. He explained what he was doing and why. I felt so comfortable in his care. Dr. Kas was very professional and most of all personable.
I have an appointment next week to get fitted for contacts. I can't wait to get out of my glasses.
The staff was awesome as well. Friendly and personable is a MUST in my opinion.

Took my kids to get their first eye checks and Dr. Kas and his office staff were wonderful! My daughter (6) was a little nervous and they made her feel so comfortable. My son (3) was comfortable as well. As wiggly as a three year old is, Dr. Kas and his staff were so patient and also made it super kid friendly with silly dances and all!

Dr. Kas and staff were very helpful. The newest technology for examining my eyes are state of the art. No drops to dilate my eyes and images taken of my eyes are accurate. Dr. Kas takes time to explain any issue going on with your eyes. The staff is kind and protocol is followed during COVID. Thank you Dr. Kas and Staff!

I highly recommend Dr Kas’s service. Especially, if you have something strange going on with your eyes that general optometrists can’t figure out and just categorize it as “dry eye syndrome”.
Dr Kas will take the time find the root of the issue, and help you resolve it. That’s what happened to me. He also has a very nice, caring, and respectful energy.

This was my first time using Dr. Kas. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The front office staff is very kind and courteous. The office on a whole is clean and well kept. The whole exam from start to finish was top notch. Dr. Kas did a good job of explaining all the different tests that were done and the outcome. There's plenty of frame styles and the pricing is average. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kas. I will be using him from now on.

This man is one of the greatest HUMANS I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with and gaining care for my wife whom had suffered an severe wound to her eye. My family and I have been coming here for the last 5 years or even more, to see Dr. Kas.
The staff is very professional. Especially at the time of this pandemic, they are maintaining social distancing protocols and pays attention and respect to patient's concerns. Goes to show they take Covid-19 seriously! Dr. Kas even wore a face shield on our request since my 5 yr old has a pre-existing lung condition. A special shout to Yolanda for always catering to our needs with a smile and utmost patience!
