I was looking for someone to install some suspension parts on my truck and came across d&d brakes and saw how many good reviews they had. After calling a few other shops for quotes (some out of the city because it tends to be cheaper) I called d&d and was happily surprised that they offered one of the best prices. Took my Audi A5 to the dealer for service, was told I needed new brakes, front and rear, including rotors for almost $2,000. Have been using D&D for years, brought the car in for them to have a look. Turns out the rear brakes were fine, as were front rotors, front pads were getting close. Replaced the front pads and turned the rotors, $269 total. Many thanks again to Larry and crew!

Very nice people working here. This was my second time gettinf my breaks serviced here. They did a free break inspection and gave me a quote. When i dropped my car off they said it would be a few hours, less and 2 hours and they let me know it was done. It seemed so fast. My breaks and caliper are working great. I will be back next time i need breaks worked on.

Larry the owner was so friendly on the telephone. He was able to give me an estimate over the phone. My car brakes were down to the metal, and he completed all of the necessary work needed. The complete job was done the same day. I am so happy with the service and price, I wish that he offered more car services. I will definitely be back and will recommend D & D to everyone I know!

Have been going to D&D brakes for almost 10 years and overdue to write a review and what happened this week compelled me to write it. Cannot say enough good about the way Larry runs his business. Six months ago we took one car in that he replaced shocks on a year earlier. One of the shocks were leaking. Without hesitation, he took the car in and replaced both with an even better quality shock at no charge. Just this week we took another car in with a loud suspension squeak. He said he could make it go away but by replacing a part that simply does not need to be replaced for about $600. It just

Called these guys on a Saturday morning just as they opened to see if they had availability to replace my rear brakes, they got me in within 1 hour, and got my brakes replaced and my vehicle road ready in less than 2 hours. These guys are great, very affordable pricing as well. Would highly recommend for any brake job.

Brought my car in for a check, was concerned about a noise I’d heard when applying the brakes hard a couple of times. They inspected and told me everything looked good, the brakes at 50%. This is the second time I've taken my car to get brakes done, here. I will be back again (when needed).
These guys explained everything to me, while showing me on the car.
Completely respectful, friendly and both times, I never felt as if they were trying to do anything more than getting me working & safe brakes. (Being female, that is sometimes a worry).
Highly recommend taking your vehicle here.
PS if you like dogs, they sometimes have one there. I know he's a big baby at home. Don't let him fool you!!

Great place. I rented my car out to some Fboy on Turo and he complained about the brakes squeaking so I thought my brakes needed to be replaced. D&D took off my wheels to inspect the brakes and said I had 10k miles left. They are honest people and I will definitely come back in 10k miles for service. Don't trust Fboys.

Tom at D & D brakes is your go to guy if you want honest good brake work. He had done the brakes on my Honda Pilot a few years ago. My son's Yaris went in to D & D today. Bellevue Toyota dealer wanted to charge me $500 for brakes after inspecting the car. Turns out it isn't necessary yet and can go another 15,000 miles before the pads need to be replaced. This is a rare thing these days. Please support this local small business and take your car to D&D! This guy is gold.

Regret not remembering his name but the man helping out at the front desk as well as the mechanics were absolutely terrific. They were very friendly, polite, and professional, and the work they did on my car was excellent and the pricing was certainly fair.

These guys are fantastic and deserving of their rating here. My brakes recently failed and I towed my car to Midas. They couldn't find a problem. Called D&D, got an appointment that next day. They diagnosed the issue in about 10 minutes. Parts ordered and available as promised. I brought the car back and it was fixed in less than the estimated 90 minutes. All through the process, Larry and the guys were super nice, informative and a pleasure to do business with. If you need brake work, go here!

Brake pad was squeaking, so figure I might need a replacement. I called around several places near Seattle for quotes for brake pad replacement and rotary resurfacing. Went with D&D brakes as their price estimate seem to be the most reasonable for both the front and back. The mechanics were honest and told me I still had an estimate of 10,000 miles left on my brakes pads and didn't need to change my pads. They didn't charge me for the inspection, and even showed me what to look for future indicators of replacement. Appreciate there honesty and will be sure to come back

I work in the area of north Seattle and have been needing my brakes done.I usually do my own but this time it was the rotors in need of replacement .meet Larry and he just like chuck over at Ed's transmission is a cut above the rest I'm a experienced service tech and know a snow job,larrry(D&D) is top notch and very good customer service,experienced and fair in pricing I wanted special parts for my Escalade and he delivered with the quoted price.it's worth the drive for your investment (car,SUV,truck) to get the best service tell them chuck in the dump truck sent you.holla

I've searched high and low for a decent brake shop with honest pricing. To get my rotors resurfaced (front and rear) and new brake pads, I've gotten quotes close to $1000 from major shops. That's ridiculous! I've done them myself in the past but no longer have access to the tools and space, but I'm so GLAD I came across D & D. They took my car, did a fast inspection and told me the real situation - that I still had plenty of miles left. Fast forward to when I needed service, I went here. Their pricing is extremely fair and the workers there are real friendly and transparent

I used to do my own brakes, oil, etc. so I'm not entirely clueless about cars. But it's been decades and I now just take cars in to have someone else do it. Well Les Schwab wanted to replace the rotors, calipers, pads, and the works as part of their "standard" protocol. I knew enough to realize that was overboard so I came here. They know their stuff, are fair on price, and I'll make the drive to have my brakes and wheels serviced here from now on. Machined the rotors, replaced the pads, serviced the calipers and system, and did exactly what one should do. I think you can

Just to follow up, D&D is a competent, honest brake shop. Larry quickly inspected my brakes and confirmed I have 70% on the front and 90% on the back.
He tested my fluid and said it was crystal clear and not needing flush and replacement. No charge for the inspection and the fluid check and fill.
He said my fluid reservoir was between the min max level and was probably tripping the sensor when it was cold while cornering.
The dealer (Toyota of Kirkland), had quoted me $700 to $900 without even inspecting it!!
