I took a fantastic class with Liya a couple years ago, and I still remember it to this day. Liya was compassionate and attentive to each of our needs, yet gently encouraged us to explore our limits.
Services
My goal is to combine the best of conventional Western medicine and Chinese medicine to provide the most helpful care for my patients. I believe in the power of each person to further his or her own healing through meditation and yoga - which I am passionate to teach to the world. Once when I was six years old, I jumped down from the bars on the playground and sprained my ankle.
I feel so lucky that Liya was part of our team to bring a new layer of wellness to our patients and employees. Many of the people I hired her to teach to had not exercised in years because of their chronic medical conditions, and they feared that they would not be able to do yoga. Liya's knowledge of the whole person and her gentle teaching style quickly erased their fears.
Join Liya Leng, Becca King, Jana Miller, and Whitney Handrich for a heart-centered yoga retreat to deepen your practice, build community, and cultivate self-compassion. This is a family friendly retreat held at the foot of Mount Adams with camping and B&B options for accommodation. We will practice athletic classes like Vinyasa and Forrest Yoga as well as soothing Gentle Hatha, Yin, and Thai bodywork.

Liya Leng is a talented physician, a brilliant yoga teacher, and a natural healer. I was traveling up the coast with my mother when she started suffering from dizziness. These dizzy spells lasted a few days. When we reached portland Liya performed one session of acupuncture. My mother felt instant relief. The rest of our trip up the coast she didn't suffer from a single dizzy spell! I was unfamiliar with acupuncture myself, but Liya was gentle and patient. It was such a relief to try something new and have it work! I also signed up for her yoga class because of the stiffness from driving 3
