Soup portion for takeout is very small and my food selections were overcooked. They forgot the pancakes for the MuShu and when I called they just argued with me and said 'they know what they are doing and that I was wrong' Well, that didn't suddenly make the pancakes appear - haha ! And they didn't offer to rectify the issue.

I just walked in and had one person putting in a food order in front of me I sat down and let the bartender know what my drink order was. Simply a beer. He continued to take to drink orders that's were served to one person and another person walks in the door after I've been there orders and was served before me also took the food order from that person before me. never saw my beer. There for 10 minutes and walked out. Would have spent a couple hundred and tip well. His loss.

Dingy, dirty and dimly lit sums up the location. Staff are rude and food taste/quality is mediocre at best. Would not recommend. Try Chan's or Double Happiness for this type of cuisine.

Best Wor Wonton soup in Bend (and I have tried them all). I don't eat pork & the cook accommodated me in not putting any sliced pork in the soup. Will only get Wor Wonton soup from Hong Kong Restaurant in the future.

I got a combo dinner for one. There was a lot of food and a reasonable price. The sweet and sour pork had a different sauce than normal. It was good and the pork was nicely cubed and not overcooked. Overall it was a good meal at a fair price.

New Year's Eve 2020 take out dinner at the Hong Kong was positively the best Chinese food we have ever had.
Our order took about 45 minutes longer than they expected. I had to wait, as did others. Each order was done in the order it had been received. Apparently they didn't staff up for that night. Only two people were working when we arrived to pick up our dinner. They were calling in additional staff.
However, the woman who was cooking knew her stuff. We have been customers of the Hong Kong for 35 years and this food was outstanding. We ordered 5 separate items and each was cooked fresh and

In the back of my mind I knew better than to order from here, but they were the only Chinese option on the delivery service. Easily the WORST Chinese food I have ever had, we threw most of it away. The fried items tasted like old, dirty oil and anything that had a sauce was super dry. Don't waste your money.

Horrible food. No other way to put it. Fried items cooked in old dirty oil and taste of seafood. Egg rolls oddly dipped in batter and way too big. Very greasy with a gross sticky sauce. Worst Chinese food I've ever tasted.

We went in for Christmas because they were one of the few places open. Big mistake. We went in around 4:30 or so hoping to beat the dinner rush. There were three other couple in there and a few people ordering food to go.

They were running a "Christmas special" for almost $15 per person and there were two combination options. You weren't allowed to order from the standard menu.

Once we got our food NOTHING was hot. The chow mein especially wasn't even warm. It felt like they had pulled it out of the fridge and forgot to warm it up. Everything else tasted like it had been

Let's be honest: Bend doesn't have a great Chinese restaurant. Some might say Chi's but it too isn't all it could be.

That said, Hong Kong is near the bottom of the barrel. The food is just disappointing. In this part of town, you're much better off at Chan's.

I ordered delivery from Hong Kong Restaurant while staying at the Riverhouse On The Deschutes while in Bend on mid-term business.
I have to say that by far it’s one of the best meals I’ve had while here.
The delivery was through DoorDash and it was super-easy to order and extremely prompt friendly service.
I ordered the Wor Won Ton Soup and the Chicken and Green Beans with Black Bean Sauce. It was all phenomenal.
Large portion sizes, lots of extra fresh and hot and tasty ingredients.
The entree comes with sesame seeds to sprinkle. And there is the traditional hot yellow mustard and also

This is an old school Chinese restaurant which has been in Bend for many years and is located centrally on Highway 20 (3rd Street). It was within walking distance of our motel and since we didn't have a car a welcome relief. The Hunan chicken was delicious and the food for both meals plentiful and tasty. Friendly service in a classic and quiet background. This is not a trendy restaurant just a good one to eat at and enjoy a meal.

Tried Hong Kong for take-out for the first time in ages. Now we remember why we haven't been. The House Lemon Chicken was incredibly dry - like chewing shoe leather; and the accompanying lemon sauce was very watery and flavorless. The Pork Chow Mein had plenty of sauce, but not much taste. The Sweet & Sour Shrimp were already in sauce, so were a tad soggy; and the small ones were like chewing more shoe leather. The Szechuan Beef had very little beef (mostly vegetables) and was bland. The only OK thing about the meal was the egg foo yung. It was fresh and filled with sprouts...too

I ordered 45.00 worth of food to see what I could come up with. Well at first the Szechuan chicken was a good taste , but well over cooked. The combination lo mien was over cooked as well shrimp were hard as a rock beef tasted old and was hardly any chicken in it , egg rolls were still dripping with oil from being fried. Well my guess if your reading this review you should now be looking at another Chinese food establishment ! Enough said

We got the create your own family meal from these guys from bendtakeout we got sweet and sour tofu, veggie fried rice, fried shrimp and egg rolls it was all delicious. So far all the Chinese I've had in this town is absolutely disgusting besides this place! Sichuan is okay, but chans and red dragon and double happiness are all appalling! I cant believe those places are even still in business.

The food was decent, but the building and atmosphere definitely needs improvement. It is pretty run down and needs an upheaval. The prices in the bar, however were very good and affordable. The food isn't anything to rave about but it is certainly worth the price.

This place closes at 10pm, yet I call all the time as a regular and they won't answer the phone past 9:30pm. It is honestly a bad business habits to close before your hours of operations say you do!!
The food is ok, and over prices but i love the connivence when it it just that. Won't be call you ever again because of principle.....id rather buy 3 for 3 7-11 hotdogs than to deal with your bad practice of making a name for your business and setting a standard here In Bend Oregon for late night 4 dollar Deliver charge. Wow...just wow.
Normally you'd have to be at a dockside bar on the bay of some third world country to find a place this seedy and dirty. I had been here years ago and thought..."why not? Lets give Chans a rest and try a different spot".

I'm never leaving Chans again.

The place just oozes dive bar and the tables had a film of some kind. My silverware was spotty. I prayed the vodka in my drink would kill anything in the glass.

The food? I was leary of it after seeing the cleanliness level. but upon tasting I was happily surprised to discover it was so-so instead of the terrible

I came in to eat dinner one night. Finished two bowls of soups and some tea and waited Another 20 minutes and the food still didn't come.

5 minutes after I ordered their phone rang, then she took a big order and told the chef to cook that first (I over heard them in Cantonese).

I waited a total of 25 minutes only to find out the person who called after me came in to pick up their food. When I asked the waitress how much longer will it take, she immediately showed some attitude toward me. Even when the person picked up their food first while I ordered first...

At the checkout she didn
