Thank you for all your support and we hope you'll visit Flights Wine Bar when they open this Fall. For the past 5 years, Birdies has been a relaxing and cozy spot where friends and family could gather to share a home-cooked breakfast or lunch, prepared by cooks who cared about the quality of their food and served by super friendly and kind servers.

Birdies was a neighborhood caf, even though many of our customers came from all areas of Bend to experience that something special. Maybe it was to bring the kiddos for Mickey Mouse pancakes and hot chocolate, to watch them color their masterpieces and gawk at the many cute pug pictures on the wall.

The food here is stellar. Literally no issues... The drinks here are also stellar. The patrons here are again, stellar. Great people watching. The ONLY ISSUE I have with this place is that every now & then you get a braindead, robotic bartender. Not all of them... But more than not. Pre COVID, coming here was a joy since we always sat at the bar but since COVID & the B squad I guess have taken over, the bartenders have just been... Civics. Camry's. RAV4's. In other words, bland. Highland Park is one of the cooler sides of LA... Your bartenders should be as cool if not cooler.

I love the mix of chill, lowk luxe, and eclectic this place has. Menu and cocktail list are always interesting and the desserts, magnificent. 🍫

The food is expensive, too much so for my taste. For example, the Okinawa Sweet Potato from their dinner menu ($15), just turned out to be a small potato cut into six pieces and several leaves of kale. I guess there's nothing wrong with paying that much to get a sample-sized taste of good food, as long as you know what to expect.

Great cocktails, great food, great ambiance and the bartender was super nice. The staff however were super unprofessional. Standing by our seats at the bar talking about their dating lives and setting up their okcupid profiles. I get that they want to chat but dont do it right next to customers paying $30 for an entree. Super unprofessional. Other than the staff the experience was great.

Such a wonderful, cozy place, and such incredible food. Excellent for an intimate dinner for two, a family, and especially a medium sized group of friends or coworkers. The wait staff is very professional, but not pretentious, friendly and very attentive. This is a must try and must come back, again and again.

Food is above average but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. You’re here for the airy and bright decor (for brunch anyways) and the laid back vibe. Service is quick and attentive. Wait was just 5 mins which was more than tolerable. Portions are surprisingly fair for a hipster place such as this but you’ll likely still have room for Mr. Holmes around the corner.

Atmosphere: Trendy hipster and romantic date night! Or even for a girls hangout. Cute and classy. We sat in the outside area in an alley with christmas lights!
Food: Came here after happy hour looking for some pasta! The pasta was amazing and their citrus salad was very refreshing! The dishes are meant to share and a little pricier than usual. The clams were great.
Drinks: we bought a bottle of red wine which was affordable...since their other drinks or glasses are pretty pricey, it would be better to get a bottle for a group. They also have a speakeasy next door in the outdoor patio side thats
