The food is "ok". Maybe it's my Americanized Indian food talking but I feel like the chicken tika and butter chicken were lacking flavor. The medium spice was ok but the flavor was not what I expected. The person who gave us our food was also not that pleasant. The whole experience here was underwhelming. Looking for another Indian place near here still!

We had a few people taking care of us as we were a large party of 8. Every single employee was friendly and attentive!
We ordered samosa chat and vegetable pakora with a few mango lassis.
We ordered butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and goat biryani .
All the food was mouth watering delicious, although it was a bit on the spicy side for being mild.
The rasmalai was fresh and creamy!

Food was pretty good overall. Service was good, and you could see the staff through the glass in kitchen working hard. To our surprise, they added on a 5% inflation charge at the end of the bill and how their system is set up I couldn't see it until I got a copy. Very shady way to squeeze extra money out of people. They should have just added it to the menu prices instead.

This review has been long overdue! We tried this restaurant for a Doordash order during our Colorado road trip while craving some good old Indian food! The paneer curry smelled and tasted straight out of an Indian restaurant back home. Hands down the best Indian food I have tasted in my 12 yrs in US. We went in for dining over the next two days of our stay and loved everything we ordered including desserts. The staff are super amazing as well! I wish we had stayed closer to Colorado springs to drive down here more often or they open a branch in RTP (you can always wish!)

This is the most unique and urban style Indian restaurant you will find in Colorado. Great place for dine in and enjoy eating all the varieties. They have some indo American fusion drinks as well. We liked the appetizers, curries and sides so much. The main dishes are good and biryanis are more americanized style and still tasted nice.

First off, even when seated he prepared to wait. They have a sign up front stating they are hiring and short staffed.
It's a loud boisterous atmosphere that smells heavenly. Everyone is super friendly. The food was really good. The butter chicken was tasty and the garlic naan stole the show. The rice was extra dry, I couldn't eat it without drowning it in butter sauce.

I went on a Saturday evening for dinner. First of, the menu is unique and really promising. The ambience is good too. The staff is very friendly and nice. The food is a mixed bag. The appetizers were really good whereas the main course was disappointing. I think it was due to the dinner rush that the food didn't come out as expected.
They have a board at the entrance which says they are under staffed. However, we got our cocktails which was the first thing we ordered after we received our main course which is unacceptable. Even though they tasted good, we had lost our interest for it when it arrived

The 4 stars is simply because this restaraunt was understaffed, HOWEVER, the food and servers working there were both excellent.
The food was amazing and the whole restaurant smells delicious, even when walking up to the front door you are hit with a wonderful oder of cooking meats and a plethora of spices. The decor is nice, clean, and not in your face, allowing you to relax and enjoy your company and meal.
Now the food, we got Tandoori Chicken and separate orders of Naan Bread. The chicken was perfectly cooked and just covered in a variety of delicious seasonings and the naan bread was perfect

I have never been treated so rudely. I had a long day of work and was exhausted so I decided to order in from this restaurant through door dash. After an hour of waiting for my food to be delivered, the order was canceled. I was pretty upset that they had canceled my order after an hour of me sitting and waiting for it, instead of canceling it immediately if it wasn't going to happen. Last night's visit to Urban Tandoor reminded my husband and I that we should not let so much time go by, in between visits to this place. Hands down, one of our favorite restaurants in the Springs. Flavor is unreal in this place.
I have had a few dishes here, but last night, my husband ordered the Tour of Tandoor- and once again didn't disappoint. A combination of shrimp, fish, paneer and chicken, with three different sauces.
The naan bread is light, crunchy and delicious.
The chicken vindaloo has great aromatics.
The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is playful.
Highly recommend.

Our server at Urban Tandoor was Vicky. He made us feel incredibly welcome. We were greeted and seated right away, given excellent recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food came out hot and was very tasty. The portion sizes were also right for us. The mango lassi was excellent, just the right thickness and flavor. We also enjoyed chicken, daal, garlic naan and a few other things that escape my mind at the moment. The restaurant was somewhat busy during the time we went (after 8 pm). I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo and my husband had the Goan Coco Korma Chicken. Both were absolutely delicious with a good portion. The garlic nan was melt in your mouth yummy!! I highly recommend this restaurant for great Indian cuisine and wonderful atmosphere. Located just outside the South Gate of the Air Force Academy!

My family and I just relocated to Colorado Springs and we were super excited to find a good Indian restaurant that we can become regulars at and after reading all the awesome reviews Urban Tandoor received - we THOUGHT we were golden... and then we got there.

While visiting some friends in Colorado Springs, we had lunch here and literally wiped our plates clean. Friends of our friends recommended the place and we were very pleased with their recommendation. We had the butter chicken, goat curry, chicken vindaloo, garlic naan, and plain naan with rice. Everything was delicious! And our servers were courteous and very responsive. I loved that they provided crayons and pictures to keep the kids entertained along with kids cups with straws. It is beyond ridiculous this restaurant has enough reviews to average out to a 4 star restaurant. Search by lowest reviews before you make the same mistake we did. Tonight, we had the worst Indian food we have found yet in the Springs; which is not hard to do... as Colorado Springs will never be known as a city with anything close to fine dining or even great food, but this one takes the prize.
