The open sky location on Venice Boulevard is the true centerpiece of the restaurant and the best place to enjoy your time, reading, working, or just chatting with good friends or a date over a long meal while respecting social distancing. Undercover of soft lighting, rustic & white Mediterranean wooden elements, communal tables, and comfortably furnished nooks, and a bar.

It does have nice atmosphere! Good patio. Laughable service.
I went in to get some work done and have a light bite to eat and an iced coffee. The lady approached the table after quite a while which I didn't mind because I set up my computer etc.
I ordered my iced coffee and asked, 'Do you have agave nectar.' Got a simple 'No. Just sugar packets.'
Okay nbd, it's supposedly a better, natural sweetener alternative and a lot of places are starting to carry it but not everywhere. No prob.
'Okay do you have simple syrup? Something besides sugar packets for my

This place is a cute coffee, breakfast, brunch, everything shop.
Came here for brunch with two friends. We had the ahi tuna salad, the eggs on the moon (soo good! on ), and the salmon lox. Everyone liked their food and they kept the coffee flowing. Super cute ambiance inside and it was warm on a completely rainy day.
We'll be back bc the food is dope and I want to see what sitting on their patio is like. But seriously, food is good.

I came here for the first time today to try something different and was surprised to find a big beautiful patio! I worked on my laptop while eating their tuscano chicken sandwich with goat cheese and pesto which was delicious. Everyone is super kind and this is such a hidden gem in Mar Vista. I will definitely be coming back and appreciate the environment Atmosphere is providing for customers. Thank you!!

This place could be called Sanctuary. It is on a busy street, but when you sit down in the outdoor dining area, all you can hear are the sounds of patrons enjoying their meals and visiting. The service was friendly and prompt, but unhurried - a blessing these days. I ordered the steak salad with champagne dressing and an iced tea. The salad was delicious (they cooked the perfectly seasoned steak to order) and the tea, freshly brewed. But what I enjoyed most was the relaxing vibe. I forgot I was in Los Angeles for a minute! I will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes and soak up the

A friend of mine and I were in Mar Vista at the Farmer's Market and discovered this delightful french bistro of sorts located at 12034 Venice Blvd for lunch.
Our server was Jeanne J who was just great in her service, demeanor and customer service skills and took care of us very well! Thanks Jeanne J!
I had the Steak & Fries ($26) which was excellent and perfectly prepared, my friend had Bagel & Lox ($14) and I had an Arnold Palmer too ($3).
The total bill was $43 plus Tax or $47.08 and a $10 cash tip for Jeanne J's excellent service for a grand total of $57.08.

What a lovely neighborhood gem! Live music makes it feel like a special night out, excellent wine choices, and the food was, for the most part, quite good. We had the lamb, which was mind-bendingly good, and the pizza, which was raw the first time, and barely cooked on the redo. I stick with four stars because it was most likely an off night in the kitchen and the ingredients were good. Appetizer (tuna tartare) and dessert (tarte tatin with ice cream) we're both very good.
Stick with the classic French dishes and you can't go wrong.

I went here for lunch with a friend and wow was the food and service less than mediocre. No one greeted us or offered us water until after 25 minutes that we'd been seated . Our waitress forgot my drink until after our food had arrived, which also took far too long to arrive. My order also arrived wrong so I had to scrape off what I'd asked to have removed a instead of the waitress offering to have it corrected, she instead brought out a plate for me to scrape the item off onto. Overall, very disappointed with the quality and taste of the food, as well as the service.

The name is perfect the atmosphere is fantastic! I really really wanted to like this place but I found the food to be mediocre. The french toast was nothing to write home about...its the basic equivalence of what any good home cook can throw together...the toast wasnt cooked all the way and was soggy. You should however try the croquet madame.....delish!! I'd say go for the atmosphere and manage your expectations on the food.

Atmosphere Mar Vista is a tucked away spot you may easily miss. But if you find your way in you'll be glad you stopped by. This restaurant has all the character and charm in the world. It also has some very tasty food.
We visited late morning and caught the tail end of breakfast. The most unique item on their breakfast menu has to be the Eggs On The Moon plate. An open face croissant with two eggs (your style), ham (I left out), cheese and served with your choice of roasted potato (or sub for arugula salad with no additional charge).

Popped by here again last week for the mussels & frites event and was impressed! My two friends and I each got through 3 buckets (OMG) and I was really satisfied with their flexibility in offering a salad for me since I'm keto and don't eat fries (sad I know). We brought our own wine and it was a $20 uncorking which is fair but they also offered ice/etc which was very kind. I have dined here several times before and it's a very genuinely awesome establishment with lovely employees! Be back soon!

I recently moved into the area and dined-in at Atmosphere Mar Vista during COVID-19. Luckily, they had a wonderful outside patio area which made adjusting to the current global crisis a bit easier for them than most restaurants. I loved the ambiance and outside decorations here, which made the overall experience positive. The service was also good and fairly attentive.
The food itself was just okay. I ordered the Americano and the bacon was overcooked. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito and said it was good, although the tortilla was different than he was used to.
All in all, it&apos

Ok, so I found out this was the old curious palate restaurant now in Santa Monica. I went with my client, and I had Coffee ☕️ & the BLT sandwich 🥪 with side salad. Excellent! Roger had the Chicken sandwich not… sure which one but he finished it... The coffee and service was top notch + Roger knew the owner. I will be back most definitely.

The atmosphere is really cute here but unfortunately the food not so much. This was my first time here - i had it bookmarked as a spot I'd like to try.
Do not order french toast here.. it was extremely soggy and undercooked. The server never smiled and took ages to track her down for our check.
I'm giving 3 stars any way because my friends really liked their food (breakfast burrito and eggs on the moon) I was going to keep the french toast but my friends insisted I send it back - it was just too undercooked.
I really like this place as it's so cute inside and very close to home

I have driven by Atmosphere and its predecessor many times in the past few years. It seemed more of a breakfast or brunch place but I was surprised that it had a nice dinner offering. In the spirit of trying out new restaurants every week, I made a reservation for this evening and off we went.
When we arrived, we were able to find street parking on Venice half a block away. We entered the restaurant and were immediately greeted by our would-be server, Dennis. The main dining room was a third of the way full so plenty of seats were available. We chose a nice half booth, half table, halfway into

Casual spot with a solid breakfast burrito. The best part, though, is that there is ample bike parking in front and a protected bike lane in the neighborhood that makes this an extremely pleasant place to bike to. A highly recommend a slow weekend bike ride along Venice Blvd with a stop here for breakfast or brunch.

I was impressed at their sophisticated rendition of an open-top crusty-bread sandwich featuring french ratatouille vegetables and goat cheese crumbles ($6 at Happy Hour, a good deal in west LA). I accompanied it with a French rose wine ($6 Happy Hour). There are good (Oregon, Cali) wine selections on their Happy Hour list as well. To finish, I got their molten lava chocolate cake ($8). Very beautiful presentation and obvious attention to detail on their food. Everything I tasted was refined in preparation and sat nicely on the palate.

The service was excellent and the food was great and I loved the boho eclectic interior! Wish I could remember our server’s name, he was fantastic! Today, I was unfortunately “that customer” who had to modify stuff because I am a picky eater and he could not have been more courteous and fun! Will definitely be back!

Food is a bit better than average. Service is snail slow.
Parking is terrible
I nice little place to spend time.
A quick brunch ended up being 2.5 hours.
Food could be better.
I got the morning glory open face breakfast sandwich. Croissant was dry.
Tasted the burger it was just ok.
Garlic fries were really garlicky which i liked.
Kind of overpriced

I'm so glad I bookedmark this restaurant! It's exactly what I expected and better.
The restaurant itself is small. I actually like it, it reminds me of Orlando Fl (home). But if you sit outside... the patio is literally so friggen beautiful. You have tables with two seatings, group seatings and some sofas, all to your satisfaction. They have a random piano! Lol from what the server told me, they play live music here on some days, I'm a little sad I missed it but next time.
My boyfriend and I ordered the burger, risotto and an ice coffee with an ice tea. The burger presentation

Really cute little spot with a somewhat covered patio. Nice place to work, eat, have coffee. The coffee is excellent, the food was good. I wish the actual omelette had been bigger, but they provided plenty of sides to make it a filling meal. The vibe of the place is chill, a seemingly more mature crowd than a lot of local cafes. Mostly quiet other than the table next to me, but you can find a relatively loud group of ladies anywhere. I think this spot is pretty hidden, based on other locals who reviewed it.
