Excellent lobster bisque and great atmosphere. The patios look right out onto the water and there is dock access if you want to come in by boat. Excellent choice for dinner!

Overpriced ($36 for salmon with one side), mediocre (at best) food, served on paper plates with plastic utensils. Two stars because they have a nice view of the creek and friendly servers.

What a disappointing meal- hostess was rude from the moment we walked in and we also observed her being rude to the staff - assuming she is the Owner or Gm but regardless during a time when it is so hard to find talent, she needs to appreciate the kids working for her- we felt awful for all of them- our waitress was awesome but the food was very disappointing too- my husband got their lobster roll which was tiny and they charged us $26- we won't be returning and would never recommend- they should be ashamed

Sunday night. Need to be on the water. Need seafood! What better way to enjoy the last of the weekend than at BG's? The lobster bisque: silky smooth with delicious little bits of lobster in a creamy, but not heavy, broth with a hint of luscious sherry. Love the whole little lobster claw and oyster crackers. It's perfect with a glass of Kim Crawford Chardonnay!
Next, an order of lightly fried and battered sweet scallops and whole belly sweet clams with a lemon slice and the best thick tasty tarter sauce made with diced dill pickles. Heaven on earth!!
Combine this with a beautiful view

Food and service was great. Very stupid you require masks but sit people with a foot of each other. Pointless.

This is the best place for lunch in my opinion! We ordered ahead for curbside pickup. Paid by credit card online. When we got there they put the food in our back seat. Very organized. Very delicious!! Two thumbs up!!

We've eaten here before Covid hit and it was good. Eating out on the deck is nice and the waitress who got our recent takeout order was very thoughtful by placing a cold desert in a separate bag from the hot food. The food this time though was very disappointing. My wife's bowl of seafood chowder only had two shrimp in it. Other than that it was just broth. My fried clams were shriveled and tough. We'll go to Petey's next time for seafood in Rye.

Nice service, good food!

Waitress got the message early on to keep the water and iced teas coming. I drink a lot at dinner. They did not disappoint.

For peel and eat shrimp, 1 1/2 pound lobster, fried green beans, and corn on the cob. All great!

I will come back again.

Kudos to this popular place for delivering amazing quality and a Covid safe environment for takeout. Easy, fresh and delicious. They have replaced Petey's as our go-to fish and chips and more.

The outdoor seating is lovely. The staff is working very hard. Unfortunately, the food is not great. The search for the perfect onion ring or lobster roll is an annual trip, and this restaurant will not be making any list. The fried food was tasteless- I would venture to say that the oil hadn't been changed in some time. The batter was very heavy. The chowder was thickened with corn starch or some thickener. The lobster roll was mediocre. Maybe it was the end of the summer/COVID blues, but I walked away disappointed. It was $160 for a cold beer and a view.

Wanted to love this place, but every staff member we interacted with was so rude it seemed like it was part of the training. After enduring the staff, the food was mediocre at best. You could barely taste the seafood through the excessive breading and frying. Absolutely not a good use of money or calories!

We ate at BG's last week with my brother and his wife. We all enjoyed our meals. We all had either fried clams or scallops. All were cooked well and tasted yummy. I also got a cup of chowder, it was very good!

We will be back. Haven't been disappointed yet!

This is the poster board for tourist traps. As a local I would NEVER come here. I had friends in town and I let them pick where they wanted to dine and again, as tourists I guess they're fine with the prices. But the food, at least mine was horrendous. $6 for the sad "cup" of barely undercooked potato filled chowder that had 1 chopped clam? Unbelievable. The crab "cakes" obviously scooped and not hand molded were so tiny for the outrageous $13 price tag. And yes, I'd love a poorly sliced and prepped tomato and wilted romaine lettuce.
Insult to injury, they use all

Shame on you.... SOOO disappointed.

My husband and myself loved coming here for both the food and view for many years.

We went last Sunday July 7th, what a true disappointment, the service and majority of food was horrific.

First, we put OUR order for drinks almost immediately when we arrived, my glass of wine showed up maybe 10 mins later and my husband's drink, ordered at the same time was followed by another 10 minutes.

The place was not that crowed at all, we have been there when the place was completely packed, and this was not the case this time.
The waitress sub-par at best, never

First time here and despite some less than stellar reviews by others this place hit a home run. The waitress we had was friendly and attentive. The water view is pretty for your typical seafood shack. Everything was very clean including the restrooms.
I had a pound of steamers and they were FRESH! One had Salmon and it was fresh and perfectly cooked. The Haddock sandwiches were fresh and portions were good. Be careful of the Boathouse punch, they are $12 but man they go down like water but will catch up with you! Good time and can't wait to go back!

Not only do you get consistently great food but this is also one of those restaurants that the service is just as good as the food. Jimmy did not disappoint today! Always on point!
The view is spectacular with people kayaking in to have lunch, always a fabulous place to stop for lunch or dinner!
