Sycamore is a great place to live! Great location, literally a 10 minute walk from campus. The staff is always there to cater to your needs and answer any questions you may have. Personally, I lived in a two bedroom and it had all new appliances, spacious living room and bedrooms, and if I had any problems the maintenance crew fixed within a days time. Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend.

I have lived here for the last three years of my college experience, and I can honestly say that I don't think I could have lived anywhere better. The unit we lived in was really nice, the facilities are great, the maintenance was always really quick to respond to any issues that arose + fixed things as comprehensively as possible, and the landlords are the most fun I have ever had. It was always great to have a brief chat with them every time I picked up the mail for my apartment. They also occasionally (pre-pandemic) would have cool mini events for us tenants, usually focused around the student

This is absolutely the best apartment I have ever lived in. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. The maintenance team is simply the best (always fix your problems within a few hours). People working here are polite, professional, and nice. Great location too. If you are looking for a place to live in Davis this is it.

I just renewed the lease for my third year staying at Sycamore Lane Apartments and I'm really happy I get to stay here another year.
-Management and maintenance are really good. Ray and Pat in the leasing office are always friendly and easy to talk to/work with. Joe and Edher are really good with maintenance and usually come fix things same day or next day with no problems
-Excellent location: walking distance to campus and literally right next to the U-mall/Trader Joe's
-Bedrooms/kitchen/bathroom are a good size and washer/dryer in the apartment is so convenient. Also have access to

Hands down an amazing place to live. Yes, the rent is expensive, but that's Davis. The management and maintenance is beyond incredible. They are always so welcoming and I have never waited more than 30 minutes for maintenance. They are understanding if you have issues and out on fun community events every so often. The apartments and ground are always in immaculate condition.

I lived here in a 2-bedroom, 1-bath with 3 other girls for 3 years, and I loved it! They responded to online maintenance request very quickly. Everything was super close by, especially if you live close to Anderson Rd. I love how they offer free breakfast (donuts, coffee, juice,...) every final week and occasional dinner in front of the office. They also offer free printing and popcorn in the office.
Also, when it's time to move out, take advantage of the initial inspection! We bought the chemicals/materials that they recommended, and they work wonders. For us, since we lived there for 3 years

I lived at Sycamore for 2 years in one of their one-bedrooms. Ray, Pat, Joe, and Ed were never anything but kind and helpful to me, and I never saw them treat anyone otherwise. They even have free donuts and coffee in the lobby during finals!
One bedrooms and multi-bedrooms are pretty well separated, so if you're in a one bedroom it's as quiet as you like. I had a washer and dryer in my unit, but there is a laundry room on the Anderson side. Maintenance requests are always taken care of as soon as possible, almost always the same day you call unless it's a long job. The staff live

I lived in the Sycamore lane apartments from 2011-2013 while I was a student at UC Davis. I loved living here! The apartments are behind the University Mall, which has a Trader Joe's so grocery shopping is very convenient. The complex has a pool that is nice during the hot Davis summers. The location is great and the leasing and maintenance staff were wonderful and always helpful whenever we needed it.

Sycamore Lane Apartments are convenient in their location close to campus and the U-Mall. Other than that, the apartments are not a recommended choice of apartment complex.
To begin, the price of rent is way steep (I pay over $1100/month). You would think for such a high price, you would get reasonable amenities. You don't get your money's worth. Below is a list of the problems with the apartment complex.

Great location, nice apartments, and great office staff!
