Been here for almost a year now. Maintenance is responsive and stress free. Katherine is a great manager - she's super nice and down to earth, and she occasionally hosts these apartment events that my girlfriend and I enjoy such as Halloween or Christmas balcony contests.
During the freeze, the complex didn't lose power, which was a life saver! And the location is incredible for the price. Definitely look into this place if you're a college student or recent graduate. Parking is great aside from the occasionally break-in I've seen around. But the parking doesn't take up so much space that there

While the neighbors and location are both great, maintenance is just abysmal.
After living here for a year, we relocated to a bigger apartment on the complex in March. Since moving, we’ve had over nine work orders in < 6 months. In addition, its taken over a month to get our AC fixed — causing several weeks without working AC in the middle of June. Our dishwasher has never worked since moving in and we’re still “waiting on the part” six months later.
I file a work order at least twice a month, more often than not the maintenance communicates that they’ll stop by but never shows. When

I was really excited to move into my apartment here due to the good reviews, but it’s been two weeks since I moved in and my AC still does not work properly.
I was given two portable units, but even with those, my apartment is a steady 81 degrees throughout the day. Not really enjoyable in Texas summertime.
The leasing office has been slow to take real action in fixing the cause of the problem, blaming it on no response from the AC company instead of reaching out to others.
Two stars for nice neighbors and a nice area - but not worth the location for living in a hotbox.

While I've seen some negative reviews recently, I've been moved in for about a month now and so far my experience is nothing but positive. Maintenance is extremely responsive and the few times we've needed them, they've come by within hours of putting in the request. The community manager, Katherine, is extremely sweet and always willing to answer questions. She was very kind and helpful during move-in and made the experience as smooth for us as she could. The fitness center isn't very big, but I was very impressed by how nice the treadmills and ellipticals there are. The area is beautiful, a lot

Hot water! Since March 22. Why! Why do I have to keep sending in a complaint to get hot water! Why!
The washers in the common area have not been serviced and no one takes responsibility, in fact they’ll have you call the service

Please keep in mind that apartment managers gave incentive for tenants to write positive reviews. I'll keep it short and sweet. Rarely any running hot water, when I've called the office about this they try to blame it on my neighbors or the water heater so if you like warm or hot showers don't move here because it'll be a gamble for you every morning. It could take anywhere from a week to a month to get any work order you submit completed. Every time I needed a work order completed it was like pulling teeth...Had to call multiple times and I always got attitude. Washers and

This community is gone dramatically downhill in the last year. All the current reviews are correct and not written by crazy people. The one good review was by Juan ( the maintenance staff ). The problems are too numerous to go over but center around care of the property, the green pool, safety and the management office not being responsive. The complex’s soul was the old office manager Dore’ who was fired for standing up for the tenants rights to the new owners The current owners simply don’t care.

One of the biggest motivating factors for me in signing a lease at this property were the high reviews I saw online. Unfortunately, the property has gone downhill in the last year or so. There have been changes on management and ownership which have negatively impacted residents. A few examples are a pool that was green & covered in algae all summer as there was no pool maintenance company hired, bushes & greenery that became significantly overgrown as a result of not having proper landscaping, multiple car break ins, & home invasions. The security on property is very poor & little

I was so excited when I moved into the Grove, right before shelter in place happened, in Austin. My realtor told me this was a special community and she was right. The community has been welcoming since the first day I arrived. They are the ones who truly make this place what it is ♥️
But I feel like things have been progressively going down hill since I arrived with how the property is managed by the owners. Amenities were reduced during Covid but rent breaks weren’t given. Cost cutting measures seem to be leading to declining maintenance of the property and the pool, safety issues are

These previous reviews are true, this place was wonderful - but since Dore, the previous property manager, left, The Grove is not what it used to be. It has gone downhill quickly.
There have been multiple disturbing incidents which the leasing office has never formally addressed - from breaks ins, car break ins, a fight between residents which lead to a stabbing, homeless people sleeping in our pool area, a dumpster fire, etc. There is never a communication about any of these concerns & our outreaches are often brushed off by the office. I no longer feel safe walking my dog throughout the property

I have LOVED living here for the past two years. BUT I GOTTA WARN PROSPECTIVE TENANTS ABOUT UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION!
The dog park is set to be demolished in the coming year or so. ~$18,000 has already been dropped on this project, so I'm not hopeful that it won't happen. If the dog park + community garden is a huge pull for you, it shouldn't 'cause they're about to be gone-zo. If you'd like to see the plans, they're on the city website. Case number is SP-2020-0232C.
I'm especially worried about this because I live in one of the buildings that's closest

I absolutely love my new apartment! I just moved in yesterday and had a friend over to housewarm-I showed her the beautifully maintained community garden and there was a cute pile of about seven or eight cucumbers on the railing! We both took a couple and they were the best things I've ever tasted! The Grove seems to have a lot of unique amazing details like that, and the office staff are very friendly yet organized.

Awesome community that really makes this a special place to live within Austin. The property is extremely pet friendly and the community garden is one of the most unique and special amenities I have experienced. Very close to all the great restaurants on South Lamar and minutes from downtown. Management truly cares about their residents and works hard to make everyone happy.

We moved to the grove sight unseen in late July. The office staff is absolutely wonderful- seriously above and beyond. They walked us through the application process and apartment options from afar. My husband moved in a bit earlier than I did and they took the time to give him a tour and chat with him about all things the Grove and Austin. Additionally, they host fun community events (a plus for someone new to the area). They do a good job of making the community really feel like a community/family. I suppose our only complaint, if you'd even call it that, is that valet trash is not option. It

The staff is wonderful -- they are so fast and extremely competent with repairs, excellent at communicating, go above and beyond to meet any requests, and always give my dog love and treats when we stop by. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family for the experience of working with the staff alone, but it's also a great location with solid amenities. Worth considering if you're on the hunt for a place to call home in Austin!

This review is for the management team. I am a Realtor in Austin and this property management is leaps and bounds better than any other that I've worked with! They are so incredibly responsive and helpful!
In addition to the great service, my clients love their apartment here as well. The area is super convenient and you can't be price! Overall great spot both for people looking for a new place to rent as well as for the realtor helping them!

I lived in 2 different apts here--171 and 163. Both are contaminated with toxic levels of mold, which I detected bc I hired certified professionals (the mgmt refused). I ultimately had to move out of the complex and suffered severe health issues as a result of living there. I suggest not living there if you have mold sensitivity, pets, or young children.

I have lived here for almost 2 years now and I have 0 complaints. The only apartment complex over my years that I resigned my lease at. Amazing staff, maintenance, friendly neighbors, amenities are always kept up with, I could go on and on! I never Yelp anybody but I feel that I must today. This is easily the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. The office team is amazing. Anytime I ever have a problem, I'll tell Doré (office badass) and Josh (maintenance badass) fixes it. And normally in record time! He even came 5 minutes before being off for the day and knocked out a leak I had. All in all I recommend the grove to live. I've been here 3 years and have no plans of leaving anytime soon.

We renewed for another year because you simply CANNOT duplicate the experience that you get here! The staff really do care about the residents and their furry children. They are very welcoming and address any issues in a timely matter. The residents are awesome and friendly! This place is great if you have a family, whether you are young, old, single or not. This a diverse community and it is in a perfect location as you can get anywhere 5-15 mins including the airport. There are other complexes in the area that strive to look like the Grove but they have nothing on us! I'm a very happy resident

I can't possibly say enough good things about The Grove. I moved here a little over a year ago and spent the day with an apartment finder looking for a place to live. The Grove was the last place we went and when I walked into what is now my apartment, I instantly knew I had found my home.
The apartments have a great look and clean and modern updates, the community is filled with awesome amenities and is visually beautiful. The staff is constantly working on improving the already wonderful environment - every week it feels like there is a new surprise, whether it be new grills, fire pits

I found the Grove through Yelp, so I can only hope in some cosmetic, cyclical way, my review can help do the same for someone else. After transitioning back to Austin for a couple of years in LA, I definitely saw what everyone was talking about as far as the city's changes BUT I found the pocket of the place that felt just like home.
The Grove is great because of the timely management/maintenance, attention to detail, and what are usually showcased as additional amenities/luxuries are just the norm here at the Grove. The dog park is fantastic, community garden is now better than ever, hammocks

The Grove was the second best decision we ever made, right behind moving to Austin!
My boyfriend and I were living in SF for about 5 years when we decided we needed a change and Austin is what we decided on. We had narrowed our apartment choices down to 3 locations though Yelp (we wanted to move site unseen) & what made us finally decided on the grove was that we didn't know anyone in Austin and we were looking for more than a place to live, we were looking for a community.
Everyone from the staff to the other residence at the grove were so welcoming and friendly, it was everything

My wife and I moved into these apartments last year and I'm glad to say we had many great moments in our apartment. I proposed, she said yes, I made deer jerky. All in all a great ten months.
Ten months? Aren't leases for a year, you ask? Normally, yes, but The Grove has a house buyers condition that lets you end your lease early if you've bought a home. This was amazing to us as we expected to have to pay for two places for the remainder of the lease.
We are both pretty big home bodies for the most part, but it was tempting to go to the tie-dye party they had right before we

This place is okay. Its attractive and luscious with plants, but that's the best part.
I really loved some of my neighbors when I first moved in, but since last year, the place has become over priced with no improvements. I can rent a nice house with yard for the prices they are now asking. Also, management has changed a couple times, so its always difficult to get maintenance and things done.
I was personally upset when they tore down our basketball court and tennis court to make room for a community garden. The garden is not well watched, so really anyone can take your fruits and vegetables
