Mai Thai

This is such a great find. Several restaurants couldn't seat us for over an hour so we stumbled into Mai Thai and so glad we did! We are extremely impressed with the quality of the dishes we received - Panang Curry and Drunken Noodles. The flavors were fresh and vibrant. After you travel to Thailand, it can be tough to find authentically good Thai food and Mai Thai gave us just that. We topped it off with some FABULOUS Mango Sticky Rice (again, the closest we have had to Thailand in years!). Atmosphere is perfect for date night and our server was very attentive and gave us great recommendations

Went here for dinner on a Sunday night. Was pretty busy but not crazy. We got seated fairly quickly by the front in the big booth. Only issue there was it was right by the door, so we kept getting hit with cold air. Bring a jacket if you’re coming in the winter.
The bartenders took care of us. Food took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait.
My husband got the PAD CHA BEEF BRISKET, and I had the Drunken Noodles with chicken. I got a spice level of two, which almost too spicy for me, but still so much good flavor. The Pad Cha was amazing, I would recommend that!

I am Asian. There aren’t many Asian food choices in Boise. This place is an awesome surprise. Food is very tasty, super friendly staff. It became one of my favorite restaurant in downtown.

Although Sushi is Japanese, not Thai, this is the best sushi AND Thai restaurant I've found in Boise so far. You can also order from them through Uber Eats.

Update. Sushi bad, pad tai, not good, and kimchi rice very average. Service was slow. Not much good to say really

Ordered pad see ew and pineapple fried rice. We ordered delivery and when it got here the noodles were mushed together. Both dishes were tastey but they were so salty it gave me palpitations and I don't have any existing health problems. For the price the dishes should be more refined with a better balance of flavors and not just salt.

Insanely spicy and waitress did not seem to care. Specifically asked for no spice, but meal was inedible. I also felt forced to give a much higher gratuity than was deserved. Definitely not worth it.

Outstanding sushi and entrees for those not interested in raw fish. waitress was the best and very helpful. watch out for two for one drinks on Sundays, I killed myself on them! Brussel sprout appetizer well worth it. now let's talk about the ambience...I want to live in there with Buddha.

Best Thai food in Boise. Hands down. Simply amazing, every time. I almost always get the pepper steak (with chicken instead of beef, usually a spice level of 2 or 3). It's freaking DELICIOUS. The cashew chicken is my second go-to. I also always get an order of imperial rolls (little pricy but worth every cent).

My only critique is that the spice levels can be a bit inconsistent. Sometimes I can't even taste a level 2 spice; other times, it's uncomfortably spicy. Don't go above a spice level of 3 unless you feel like punishing yourself.

I love Mai Thai! Thoughtful Asian Food with delicious ingredients. At this point I get takeout , have not dined in.
My next stop is there happy hour - known as one of the best in town!

Great food! Tried this little upscale Thai place and food and service didn't disappoint. Their drunken fried rice (not noodles) is super tasty. We had ordered ours with seasonal vegetables and to our surprise it actually had very different kinda vegetables and not just green peppers and onions. Food was deliciously spicy , we had ordered level 3. The waiter had informed us that spice level varies on who the cook is, which was really helpful. A must try place!!

After waiting an hour for our order to be fulfilled, we were advised we would have to wait an additional 1 to 4 hours. So in Mai Thai's understanding of how human hunger works, a five hour order turnaround is a thing that customers should be cool with. Yeah no. If your meal planning horizon can accommodate a 5 hour wait for your food, these guys may be your huckleberry. If not, maybe get your noodles elsewhere.

I love the food here and have had amazing experiences here in the past, and was looking so forward to including this in our itinerary when introducing our friend who was visiting from out of town to an amazing Boise culinary adventure. Sadly, this wasn't to be. Tonight I had a 7:30 reservation for 3 people. Not only were we ignored by everyone up front when we walked in, but upon being seated, by 7:50, we had not even been greeted by a waiter. I understand that some places are short staffed- I counted the number of front of the house staff employees I saw and that could not have possibly been

Having taken deliveries and ordered from Mai Thai on several different occasions, I have very mixed feeling about the restaurant. While the food itself is quite delicious, customer service has been a problem for me in the past.

Mai Thai's food never disappoints! I tried the fried tofu in my entree instead of meat, and the texture was so good, it's my new go-to staple. The drinks were creative and delicious, especially if you like tiki inspired drinks. We came for a group dinner and got some appetizers to share too, which is definitely the way to go- try as many things as you can! Absolutely some of the best Thai food in Boise, and with great service and experience on top of that, it's a 10/10 restaurant.

This is a great spot for bigger groups! Vegan, vegetarians, and omnivores all have great options here! We had a reservation for 6 and they sat our party in their back room, very private with a cool vibe! I would book again for any other type of big work, family, or friend dinner!

Great Thai spot!
I have my usual spot back in Ohio but this one did not disappoint.
The pad Thai which is my go to at new Thai joints was hearty and magical.
We were sat in the lounge which is a as soon as you walk in and holds quite the esthetic for visionaries but has a lot of in and out traffic which I didn't really care for. Hey, I made my reservation late so I was happy to get in and try the spot.
I wouldn't call their mule a mule but it wasn't bad, just don't expect your typical mule.
Pleased with the service and cleanliness of the restaurant.

the waiter was very kindly and patient with us as we had questions and more questions.
The atmosphere is great the the water sound makes it so enjoyable.
The food!!! A 10!!! Amazing, delicious and great prices. We enjoyed it all and was enough to share. We decided not to share lol and bring the left over home. I actually ate my left overs and let me tell you, the same as when you are eating in the restaurant so this is fresh!

Love Mai Thai- I've never had the chance to dine in as I typically order delivery. But they really take time to package up the food properly which I appreciate, no leaky curry all over the bag. Amen!

My absolute favorites are the imperial Rolls, Panang Curry and the Pepper Beef. I always seem to forget that the Panang comes pretty dang spicy, even on a level one. Came here for a good time with some friends, and this place did not disappoint. Walking in, you'll immediately notice the ambiance! Low lighting, eye grabbing art work, and partitioned booths really set the vibe off right. Right away, after sitting down with my friends we had a conversation that was both, engaging and full of laughter! This place is sooooo good! Everything we had was vegan. The pot stickers were delicate and definitely fresh - they were the best pot stickers I've ever had.

I usually don't like mushrooms but the 3 flavored mushroom was awesome.

They have a separate vegan menu too which was a bonus. Highly recommend!
