Whatever you do, do NOT rent here! We rented here just 2 weeks ago and when we arrived to the apartment, it was dirty, there were nails in the walls, where was cracked and chipped paint all over the place, we found food items from the prior tenant, we didn't have access to our garage, our blinds to the balcony don't close, there were damaged, bent blinds all over the house, and it smelled like mildew. Next, we tried doing our first load of the laundry and the washer broke. Then, when they finally sent someone to fix it a week later after multiple calls, that night a pipe broke within the walls

I didn’t know that we joined the lower end kind of properties where we can spray paint can our vehicles on the side of the road (it’s all parallel parking basically everywhere that is “considered washougal city parking” this community has become so low valued and not a valued property that you can be proud to live in. I wouldn’t move here today had I known what it really was.

Here was my experience trying to rent from Lookout.
1. Made appointment online drove 45 minutes
2. Office was closed for "unforseen circumstances"
3. Called a week later set up appointment drove 45 minutes
4. We arrive and are told that apartment isn't available
5. We are told 2 others are. We apply online their website gives us issues. We call multiple times and are told the last time thay someone else rented it while they were trying to resolve our issues.
6. We apply for the other apartment but it won't go thru. Lady in leasing office deletes our whole app and says try again. We do. Same

Before anything else, the maintenance crew here is outstanding. Art, D, and Elijah all work hard with the resources they have. The problems we've had are with items that require communication and followthrough from management (of which there have been plenty).
Google Reviews has a 4,000 character limit. There is more going on than what I'm able to fit here.
Management pushed move-in dates for our townhouse back 3 or 4 times, causing problems with the place we were moving out of and truck rental. After the 2nd or 3rd time, management admitted there were still "20 grand in damages

Update after 6 months of renting:
I changed my review to 1 star. it is the beginning of summer and is 90 degrees outside and I've just realized that the one bedroom units do not have air conditioning. There is absolutely no way this apartment complex can justify charging $1100+ for a one bedroom apartment that doesn't have something as simple as air conditioning.

I've never written a review and I believe in trying to work things out directly. Having worked in Customer Service for several years and currently managing a Client Services team in the corporate world, I feel like I'm pretty reasonable. 5 stars for the best maintenance crew we have ever had! D and Elijah are so friendly, helpful, and awesome. Anytime we need anything they get right on it, no matter what it is! Seriously, these guys are the best. Also the units are very nice, pretty thin walls, parkings very rough, but worth it for the price! Thanks D and Elijah! You go above and beyond.

In a couple words, look elsewhere. Parking is terrible. Management is unempathetic and unhelpful. They forced us to cancel our garbage and walk our recycling and garbage 3 blocks to the community dumpster. They take more than a month and a half to fix a broken toilet flapper. For how much they charge in rent, it's honestly a ludicrously bad environment.

I lived here for about 3 years and the management was constantly changing. Several members of the staff have been rude and their main focus was on new customers and not helping residents. They are notorious for never answering the phones.
I moved out in July and left the place spotless. I have yet to receive my deposit despite emails and phone calls.
The only pro's was the location of being in the camas school district and the maintenance guy was friendly.
They also have no place for children to play in the community and kids are always outside playing in the street which is a dangerous

If I could leave negative stars I would. They are very responsive when you first move in. However, on moving out they are horrible at costumer service. Even when I lived there it was extremely hard to contact. You have to go into the office for any help. I had payments on auto deduction. Not realizing my card expired, they charge a late fee within 24hrs of being late. No notices or courteous alert. When moving out good luck. They don't walk through with you for last inspection. I run by these apartments all the time and smile and say hello to people I see. A lady named Jessica was the fist and only person to actually smile back and say hello. The next time I went for a run she was there again so I stoped to chat. Lovely woman that said she only recently started managing the apartments.

I have been living here for two years, and have LOVED it. The front office team is fantastic, and truly cares about the people who live here. Our space is quiet and feels so home like. Sometimes I forget I'm in a complex! Any repairs needed on your house are done within 24 hours, and the mantiance staff is so kind. I will live here until I buy a home! So happy we chose Lookout @ The Ridge!

Please read these reviews before you rent here. Yes, nice looking places, but the management is horrible. I left my trashcan outside my garage when I first moved in as they had given it to me full of trash. I cleaned it and tried to air it....and BOOM...$50 fine, no questions, no warning.
There is also the physical location. It is a nice view, but in the winter when there were ice storms you had to drive up steep hills and then your drive way was back down a hill. Also, the management company refused to do any ice or snow removal; they care nothing for their tenants.

I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone! They are all nice & everything looks nice(very nice apartments and a good view) but unless you want to lose your deposit and have to pay more then don't come here! They made me replace their carpets and pay a whole lot of money because I had a pet and they made the excuse of pet urine on the carpets(there wasn't) I spent hours on that apartment and cleaning but it was obviously not good enough! Don't let them fool you! Do not rent from here!

Extremely poor customer service. My mother has lived here for almost three years, and has been constantly harassed from day one. The rents are already usurious enough, to be treated with literal contempt by a low level employee is too much. Rebecca's behavior is wildly inappropriate and so unpredictable one has to wonder what the ownership of this property thinks of her.

I thought I wanted to move here until I read all of the negative reviews and experienced first hand what they were all talking about. Make sure if you apply to live there you are absolutely sure because if you change your mind for any reason you lose your 250.00 fee they call admin. Fee. Not cool. But, I am satisfied because I found a better place to move to and that makes up for all of it!

If I could give this complex zero stars, I would. The other reviews left on here are VERY accurate. I don't even know where to begin with the complaints regarding this complex. Let's start with Management-first of all, there has been an unusual amount of turnover with management. Current management does not care about the tenants, but, instead sugar coats things and has no concern for tenants needs or issues that come up. Issues are not addressed in a timely manner and are covered up with fake apologies.

One more update then I'm done with this place. We never got our deposit back. After arguing with the manager, I finally had to write a letter, copy the management company, and list out all the laws they were breaking and the fact that if they didn't comply, we could take them to a small claims court and they'd had to pay us twice the amount (please, please be an informed tenant).
What do you know, a week later and we had a check in the mail.
This was a few months ago but this has been an ongoing saga so now that we're in our own home, I can take the time to update my review

They have pretty nice apartments. The kitchens are new and the place looks nice. They are some with a view. But that is all the positive feed back I can think to give. The office managers have changed four times in the year I lived there. The consistently lose paperwork or forget to follow through. The do not enforce anything so if you like dog crap on the sidewalk every 15 feet all winter long look no further.

This place is really nice. I lived in a 3 bed townhome. The size is excellent (~1600sqft), price was great, and the area is very nice. It is full of newer track homes, nestled in older neighborhoods around. The view to the Columbia River is pretty spectacular despite the power lines as a real eyesore. Someone, please bury them! haha. Also, there are some nice hiking trails not far (along the Washougal River, and around Lacamas Lake). The Washougal River is basically 4 blocks away. I see people fishing there from time to time.
