MOXIE yoga is a not just a yoga studio, but a community as well. We offer in-person yoga classes across San Francisco. Our locations are in the Mission, Nob Hill, Noe Valley, Sunset and Bernal Heights neighborhoods. We also offer pre-recorded and streaming online classes. Essential postures of yoga that affect the entire body.
Deep focus on alignment and breath connection. Postures are held 8-10 breaths. Sequence follows the MOXIE Fundamental postures. Appropriate for all levels. This is not a beginner only class: all students interested in working on the principles and foundations of Yoga should attend.

Services
MOXIE is a collaboration of Mark Rausa, Tanya Clark & David Steele's effort to provide a space and community where practitioners can reap the benefits of yoga with efficient classes that focus specifically on postures and breathing exercises, the third and forth limbs of yoga.
Although yoga does have roots in philosophy, we have honed our efforts into developing the most balanced and effective yoga practice instead of focusing on the emotional or what one may interpret as spiritual instruction that is common in the yoga practice today. Our excellent team of instructors represent our approach and methodology through thoughtfully designed sequencing.

Mark Rausa is a founding owner of MOXIE and the instructor responsible for the development of the MOXIE Method. His classes are intense and challenging, with motivational tough love and sarcasm. Mark specializes in teaching inversions, arm balancing, and transitions. His classes are greatly influenced by his training with Larry Schultz, the creator of Rocket Yoga and Tim Thompson, the creator of Isometric Monkey Yoga.

A good studio for what it offers. This is a fitness-fusion style studio instead of a more traditional Hatha practice. The asanas are a "Moxie" developed sequence built off of the basics. The physical focus is on flow, versus stillness.
I bought a one week trial pass, which suited my time in San Francisco, so I had the benefit of trying multiple classes. Even when trying the same type of class, sequences will range based on instructor, so I recommend sticking to one instructor's class if you find one that you like.
The space itself is open, inviting and bright. They offer rental mats, and all

I LOVE THIS YOGA STUDIO.
The classes are athletic and fitness-oriented, but still maintain a great calming energy and fabulous adjustments. The space is clean and beautiful. The room isn't SUPER heated, but is still a really good workout even by this workout and sweat-addict's standards. I absolutely love this studio.
