Lived here for a year and had nothing but problems with this apartment. First my refrigerator went out and lost all our groceries apartment would even give a gift card or apologize. Then the a/c went out with a newborn baby inside and had to press them to get someone out same day. Last now I have mold in my apartment sink from a leaky sink. The building is only 2 YEARS OLD it should not be having all these issues. Really disappointed with this experience.
Let’s not forget about the drunks from the bar downstairs screaming every night. You never get peace around here. Lastly this place is supposed

Elan Lakeside Village is the BEST!
Best location in DFW, Beautiful property located right on the lake with hiking and bike trails so you can escape and stay fit and healthy. A super quiet neighborhood and well-lit premises make me feel VERY safe. The restaurants are amazing and the live music and outdoor patios are a bonus! The luxury finish out in my apartment is so beautiful and the valet trash service is nice. I highly recommend and as a previous homeowner of 25 years and now downsized, the large back patio that creates outdoor living was a great trade off.

When first moving in my unit it was not cleaned. I had to do it myself. Walls are very thin, you can hear everything! Dogs barking all hours of the night. Front office never answers their phone. If you put a maintenance request in, be prepared to have to ask them over and over to do their job. Once it is time for you to renew your lease expect them to jump your rent to nearly double of what you are paying now. Oh and spiders, spiders everywhere!

Beware, Elan Flower Mound cares more about money than people. You can be an excellent renter, pay your rent on time each month for three years, live as quietly as a mouse, and they will choose not to renew your lease so they can force you out and charge new renters $500 to $1000 more than what they were charging you. Especially if you have a… disability. Extreme discrimination.
If you do appreciate peace and quiet, this place is not for you. The construction is cheap. Doors slam all night long and upstairs neighbors are heard banging across the floor all hours of the night. The "weekenders

I was informed by a letter that was NOT SIGNED and it was left on my apt. door that Elan would NOT renew my lease when it was up and would not tell me why. I have always paid my rent on time and kept my yard and place very nice. I reached out several times the day after I received the notice and the manager did not call me back until almost 5:00… PM. I was very upset about moving and she had no empathy and would still not tell me why they would not renew my lease. I had a neighbor that complained about my dogs barking, but it is a pet friendly community and many dogs bark all day long. I

All right. I've lived in this apartment for the past 2 weeks now, and I have had one of the worst starting experiences I've ever had with renting.
I came here on account of a job relocation, and on day 1 I've had to issue maintenance requests for my washer and fridge. 2 weeks later, my fridge is broken, washer I was able to fix myself and now the AC is broken in one of the worst heatwaves. I had to wait two weeks for the fridge to get fixed, but they did fix it in the end.
I am a bit frustrated with the long lead time but they were able to fix in the end.

We have lived at Elan Flower Mound since January 2020. In the midst of a hard year followed by snowmageddon, the management has been very pro-active with everything in keeping their residents informed and safe. Any type of maintenance concerns were promptly attended to as well as any other concerns such as noise or trash, etc. It’s a quiet neighborhood and it is very well maintained. Communication with management has also been quite fast and very much appreciated. We have renewed our lease as we have been happy living here. Thank you!

Elan Lakeside has been the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in! From upkeep, amenities, office staff, and maintenance staff.... They are on top of everything and easy to work with. Yes it’s a little pricey, but I’m completely satisfied with Elan. I’ve lived in the other complex right next to Elan and I promise the price difference is worth it. The walls are a bit thin and the cell service isn’t the best, other than that I have no complaints. Almost three years in Elan and 10/10 I recommend.

This is a great community with wonderful floors plans but I only gave 3 instead of 5 stars because the community does not offer recycling. Have yet to find a community in the DFW area that supports recycling and being considered luxury living you would think they would offer a basic amenity such as recycling.

The person at the front office is extremely rude. He would not give us a pricing for the apartment even though we told him exactly what we wanted. We asked him for a price range because he mentioned the prices fluctuate. He just wouldn't give us a price. He kept saying how much are you willing to pay? He assumed we wouldn't be able to pay for the apartment. His whole demeanor and tone was extremely rude. We can definitely afford the apartment and more but we will never stay at a place with management that thinks it's alright to talk down to potential residents.

This place has put my daughter through HELL with a unsafe-unhealthy smell that’s coming through her plumbing and will do nothing about it. I cannot even visit without getting ill myself due to what smells like rotting sewage. She has attempted a number of times to seek help from the front office and was told we will get back with you and to this… date no one seems to care. I now will be involved by contacting the state and any local officials that will listen. She has paid her rent on time and has been a good tenant and they treat her like the smell coming through her plumbing.

Con: this property management company does not recognize the impact of COVID and resulting loss of jobs. After nearly 6 years of living in both Elan properties they refused to reduce or waive the hefty fee for leaving my lease two months when my company had a big layoff and I lost my 16 year career. Yet, they had a renter waiting to move in with no loss of rent on their part. I brought them 3 renters during my time there, always on time with rent but when needing to leave two months short of 6 years I’m fined nearly 3k. Don’t be a fair weather property management company, have some compassion

After a great year (minus the leasing office dismissing constructive feedback), we were finishing out our final day together and on our last trip to finish things out, THIS is what we walked in to. This is what… maintenance left behind. I spoke to Greystar extensively about this and the whole issue was dismissed by them and Elan. Their excuse? When the maintenance team “looked in” to check our progress, it “looked like we left”. NO ONE on staff should ever feel comfortable “looking in” to our unit. If they were confused or needed clarification on our move
