The word "kinetic" relates to motion and "chain" is a sequence of items of the same type forming a line. When you combine the two in relation to the human body, it describes how the movement at one of your joints produces or affects a movement at another joint. This concept is core to my training style and why I incorporate muscle-rebalancing techniques into all of my clients' workouts to help prevent overuse or injury.
