Lived in a 2x2.
Room is good size, comes with desk, bed, draws (under bed). Very fast wifi. Good closet space. Bathrooms are quite nice and spacious, fan as well.
Good ceiling light in kitchen, one small very yellow light in common room (it’s terrible, I put up light strips but still not bright enough) , same in dinning area but kitchen light suffices for that.
Dryer doesn’t dry that well (usually have to run it 2 times). All the other appliances are fine though the oven takes a longer than preferred time to heat up compared to other ovens. Utilities were about $30-40 a month.

Loved my experience so far! The common areas and hallways are often clean and the amenities (study lounge, game room, pool, patio) are very cute. I only wish the pool was open all year round! In comparison to living in the Varsity, the maintenance team is 1000x times more responsive and faster. In addition, the management team here is always friendly and willing to help (unlike the Varsity, yikes!)
Great place to live overall and I am really glad I chose it despite the price being a little (a lot) overpriced. The monthly rent is insane for college students, but I hope that this decreases in future

UView is alright. The place is definitely starting to show its age compared to other apartments in the area which are newer and have the same rates. My room had a bunch of dust/pet hair on the blinds when I moved in and the blinds themselves were pretty bent up, along with other little things like paint chips, poor repaint jobs, and dirty shower. The windows themselves are also covered in dirt and deserve a cleaning. Elevators don't work half the time and are very slow. If you wanna live on this side of campus live in Tower 2 because it's a lot newer. Otherwise look into Terrapin Row or Landmark

They cut water off atleast twice a month for the whole day
They can't handle student conflict
They care more about the business then student safety
I got assaulted in the building hallway, and they are trying to put me at fault. They rather ruin a students life, then protect them.
They don't care about students at all. Keep yourself or your kid safe and go somewhere else.

Apparently the Management at University View do not know what a ratified lease is...they keep sending my Son a bill for a lease he never had. If I get any further harassment from them, I will take this to court for recovery of stress and harassment by the staff at UView for same amount they are trying to bill my Son. I have 40 years in property management and ownership of rental properties. Bring it...I have never lost a court case and this would be an easy one.

I’ve had experiences with various student apartment rentals in college park. In my opinion the view is the worse so far. Even though the view appears to be competitive in terms of rent, they will nickel and dime you for so many other expenses. The cost for utilities every month just adds up. Also at the end of year they will gouge you for expenses that should qualify as normal wear and tear. They tried to charge us for dust that was on the floor saying it would require significant cleaning. Give me a break! Call them and they will remove some of the charges but others such as marks on the wall

The security guards do a fantastic job at their jobs. Just came by to drop something off, but they handled an entire group of people with different needs quickly and politely. Props to them!

We were very excited about the University View before my daughter's check in here yesterday (8/20/21). Sadly, we were shocked to face with disgustingly nasty and unclean and filthy rooms and bathrooms upon her check in. It looked like no one took the time to clean the rooms and bathrooms since the last tenants lived here. The bathroom toilet had thick layers of yellow stains and filthy stuff. Also, the bathroom sink and the toilet were broke (which was fixed today, thankfully). My wife had to help my daughter to clean over six hours to make this room somewhat livable and the bathroom usable. The

The University View cares greatly for its residents. The staff is friendly and answers all questions with detail. George is a great, friendly package guy who automatically knows where your package is by your first and last name. The package room is extremely organized and super easy to navigate. In addition, it's very secure and I don't have to worry about my package being lost or stolen. I love all of the Instagram giveaways as well as random surprise treats!

I have lived here for my one year lease. Before this I lived at the varsity; in comparison, the view has smaller rooms but it has a deck with a pool, campfires, grills, with ready propane tanks which I love. I take my friends here all the time.

Maintenance is lighting fast, the workers here are polite. When I lost my garage key, one of the boys at the desk replaced it for me for free, he said next time the charge is like $120 or something . There have been two times where I lost my ID and it was returned to me by the security.

All the people in the building are polite.

Living at the University View has been an amazing experience. The amenities are great and very high quality. I love the location with a coffee shop right in front and tons of restaurants nearby. My customer service experience has also been incredibly pleasant. My problems were addressed right away. There was always someone to pickup, ready to help when I called. Overall a great place to live in College Park!

Due to circumstances beyond our control (covid 19) our daughter has been forced to leave college park with 4 months remaining on the lease with no means to pay for rent. This company will not work with our daughter to get out of the lease, even after offering that we split the difference. Many other apartment complex's within the area have worked with students, the university view will not. This company makes a lot off UMD and the community but does not seem to care about the students. My suggestion is to look elsewhere for off-campus housing. This company only cares about

Probably the worst apartment near the University of Maryland. I live in their new View 2 and it's still terrible. All the apartments come pre-furnished with low quality items. One of our drawers and the refrigerator broke within a week of staying here.

The have the worst location. Too far to comfortably walk to class @ the CS, physics and math buildings and way too far from stamp/south/north campus. Also no grocery store near the apartment.

They recently switched management and started charging a communal (floor) utility bill. Imagine paying for someone elses heat and water.

I would rate UView 0 stars if I could. Their management is god awful, if you live there you better hope you don't have any problems because dealing with them is a NIGHTMARE. They don't care about you, you are just another dollar sign to them. Live somewhere else and save yourself.
