Upside Restaurant

So this is always our favorite restaurant in Corolla and this year was not exception. Our party was seated very quickly and the view was very nice. Our server did a great job of getting us going with appetizers (excellent wedge salad here) and then our main dish arrived. Top score for every detail. Desert also excellent.
We took our time and they never rushed even though they had a growing waitlist. I highly recommend this place for your family “nice-dinner” during your Corolla vacation.

Server with the pony tail admitted he was high, took 25mins to get our cocktails. Bartender was schmoozing with someone lazily making drinks. Chicken sandwich was deep fried to a crisp and this was my $9 key lime pie

Today my wife and I stumbled upon this hidden gem. We’ve been coming to OBX for years but somehow never made it here. We’re sooooo glad we did ! Food was absolutely the best blend of flavors we’ve found in years ! Even better was the pleasant genuine friendly service ! Mary (our server) was outstanding ! What a lovely engaging young woman ! Her brother Aidan (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was such a warm welcoming young man ! The kitchen staff AMAZING ! Bartender…. Awesome ! We will return for sure ! LOVE THIS PLACE !❤️❤️❤️

This restaurant is a cute little place in the Timbuktu shopping center. They have some indoor seating as well as a deck up top where you can see the sound. They have a variety of appetizers and seafood dishes such as a daily fish sandwich, lobster quesadilla, and daily bowl specials with a combination of seafood and lettuce. My husband got the fish sandwich with mahi which was amazing and I got one of the bowls with shrimp. The service was very good particularly given the COVID situation. I think we're all aware at this point of how challenging it is for restaurants to find servers, but ours was

Lovely setting and delicious (vegan) food. Tofu tacos were great. Served nicely with mixed greens and house made chips. The first IPA I offered e was unavailable, but the second I picked was delicious. Young man who cared for us was friendly and attentive. Best meal I have ever had in the northern OBX.

Upside Restaurant offers delicious menu choices with excellent service. We had a bit of a wait but we did have a fairly large party of 12. During our wait there was beautiful scenery with an aerated pond and mini golf and shops with outdoor scenery where we took photos of the family. Matt was our server and he was very patient with our large group which included a few children. Try the Upside Southern Boil and the hushpuppies with honey butter….yummm!!

I’ve been here twice (once for lunch and once for dinner.) The lunch experience was great- affordable, delicious! However, the dinner experience… I waited 20 mins for them to open at 5:30. It was first come first serve which is a bit inconvenient but it worked out for me and my friends. We sat down outdoors and took a look at the menu… shocked. There were only 10 or 11 options on the menu that were actually food (not including dessert or drinks.) we ordered the calamari, and although it was a hefty $18, the chefs were not generous with the food- a small plate with only 10 calamari pieces

This was our first time trying this restaurant. Her weight was about an hour during the busy season but they have a decent call ahead system where you can walk around the local area until your table is ready. The seating up top has a great view and it’s very breezy. The mixed drinks were good and the salads were good as well. However my fried fish was bone dry and the bread was stale as was the bread on another sandwich. That was a little disappointing.

Food was delicious and the people were wonderful. Highly recommend the Lobster Enchiladas and the Raspberry Lemon Margarita! The chicken sandwich was delicious also. Great location in the Outer Banks!

Went with a party of 4 per a recommendation and was not disappointed - food was outstanding! I ordered the seasonal mahi-mahi dish and was very impressed. We also had the lobster quesadillas appetizer which left us wishing we had ordered more. Our drinks were pretty and decent tasting. Service was pretty good overall, nice atmosphere.

So yummy!! The fried green tomatoes and Tofu Stirfry was delicious 🤤! Our server, Matt, was also amazing! So friendly and worked his butt off! I highly recommend this place!

DELICIOUS! Would suggest crab cake, Caesar salad, fried chicken sandwich, old fashion, coconut mojito, key lime pie. Did not enjoy the cucumber elderflower martini (TART!). Great view and covered second floor patio. Our server Matt was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions.

Simply outstanding! The staff was friendly and the food was phenomenal. Our party ordered the bacon calamari to start and it was delicious. Our entrees were the Inside-out chicken pot pie, low country boil shrimp and grits, mac & cheese crab cakes, and the seasonal fish, mahi mahi. Kids ordered mac & cheese and cheese quesadillas. Again, everything was absolutely delicious.
The entrees are mostly around the $30 mark and the choices are limited, but enough of a variety for all tastes...they're classic dishes with a modern, upscale twist. There is a small selection of kids menu items as well.
Definitely
