This was our first time to this location. We love the Grandy location so when heading back home for the holidays we stopped at this one. No comparison between the two. We will strictly eat at the Grandy location in the future. Mediocre service and our Fajitas Texana were made with half the dish being onions.

By far one of the best Mexican restaurants you'll go to. My family and I started going here nearly a decade ago, and it has been the gold standard for Mexican restaurants ever since, despite living in three different states.
They're chicken chimichangas are off the chain. The queso is bomb diggity. You will not go wrong by eating here.

Leaving the Outer Banks and heading to Elizabeth City, the choices are pretty slim for dinner on a Sunday night. We happened to drive past this little gem, did a quick u-turn and went in to check it out. You generally can't go wrong with Mexican since you can pretty much know what to expect on the menu.
It was packed! And with a lot of Hispanics, which was a really good sign of great food! I always like finding places that are frequented by either locals or people of whatever nationality coincides with what a restaurant is serving.

There place is beautiful decorated. the waitress, boss everyone are so very friendly, efficient, happy go lucky people. they go out of there way to please everyone. You can't help but stop there for Dinner or lunch. The food is the best. Thank you Potrillo's Mexican Restaurant. I would and have recommend, Potrillo's to lots of people. Kathy

I normally don't write bad reviews about anybody or anything, but this place was horrible tonight . They were not busy and would not get our drinks. Food orders came out wrong and nobody wanted to step up and be the manager.
Even after I said something the waiter who hadn't cared the whole time came over and tried to argue with me. He was not focused on work at all.
I will never go back. Rant over

This place was decent for the area. I went here a while back with my grandfather. We got guacamole and salsa chips. They were just alright nothing special. The rice and beans were really good. I got a chimichanga which was good but nothing too crazy. My grandpa got a burrito deluxe which I'm sure he enjoyed. It was okay but I have had better.
