My House Fitness specializes in body transformations, delivering a training experience that goes beyond the typical gym workout. Jeremiah Bormes and Shelly Houser are a son and mother team that founded and opened the Coon Rapids location in January of 2018. With Jeremiah's passion for fitness and Shelly's love for adult education, they complement one another perfectly.
Jeremiah holds certifications for personal training, group fitness instructing, and weight management instructing from the American Council on Exercise. Shelly is a certified group fitness instructor, accredited senior fitness specialist, published author, and holds a Master's degree in Education. There is no shortage of fitness program options available.

Services
Optimizing your health and well -being isn't one dimensional. There are three areas that need equal attention: Fitness, Nutrition & Mindset. Many health, wellness and fitness organizations can give you bits and pieces of support and generally give a one size fits all solution which fits very few. My House Fitness customizes solutions to the individual, addressing fitness with the method that is proven to work best - personal training.
Each of our Personal Trainers is certified by nationally recognized certifying fitness organizations. Continuing education is required in order to keep abreast of industry standards and to retain certifications. Each one also keeps a current CPR/AED First Aid certification up-to-date.
CPT, PES, BS is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Trainer (CPT), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), who has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and is experienced in designing customized fitness programs for pre-teen through older adults.Prior to entering the fitness industry, he was a Marine for 8 years and uses his passion to develop programs and promote fitness and healthier lifestyles.

About 10 years ago he helped solve a problem with the fitness industry and their clients consuming too many supplements. Ironically, he started a supplement company which I know you are asking, "How does that solve people consuming too many supplements?".

I love this place. I came because I was physically a mess after caring for my husband during a lengthy illness and eventual death. I spoke with the owner and decided that this was the place for me to regain strength both physically and mentally. I have been going here for several months. I have a personal trainer and have been working out twice a week. He has a plan for me and I have gained muscle strength and am able to complete activities without becoming so tired. They are friendly and professional. I look forward to my work outs and am feeling so much better!

Turns out, I like working out when I don’t have to decide what to do. Go figure! The beauty of the MHF trainers is that I can take my mind off the hook and just follow their instructions (they plan my workout). I thought ’relax’ and ‘workout’ were antonyms. Not here. I’m more flexible, I sleep better, I’m gaining muscle. I’ve been working out here for six months and I’ll keep going.

This is one fabulous place to work out, trainers are excellent and you get very specific one on one time with a workout program designed just for you in a high tech but small comfortable environment. You are made to feel like a very wanted and cared for client and not just a number, can't say enough good things about this wonderful workout experience, this is not a giant place where you may get advice on what to do for your weight and fitness goals, this is a dedicated team of exercise specialists who focus on you and are flexible with your schedule and goals. Try it you will find it amazing.

The personal trainer, Adam, is professional, knowledgeable, personable, and has encouraged me to become stronger, to feel better physically and the weight loss is something I had not been able to do before. He plans the workouts to be different and difficult enough to show progress and to have the desire to stick with the program. He is aware of any problems I might be having and corrects the process to make it work for the outcome I want. It is small and personal. The gym is well maintained, managed and communicates in a timely manner.

A very clean and professional gym. Spacious yet felt like a personal space. Best of all, the coaches are friendly and make you feel like you are their only client. They helped me set my own pace yet motivated and pushed me to do more than I thought I could without any pressure. Made me, who hate working out, look forward to each session and left the gym with a bounce on my feet and feeling better. :)

I need encouragement and a push to exercise and I get that here! There is also laughter and fun which makes me look forward to my group class! Our trainer Adam is superb! He is knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Shelly manages everything with grace and is just a spark of life! I also go to Holy Yoga with the merging of yoga with spiritual messages with Sarah. Her gentle leadership has us all stretching and balancing better than we thought we could!
