Bayshore Animal Clinic is a veterinarian owned practice that has been serving the South Tampa community since 1984. Drs. Jacob Drewes and Meegan Panzarella shared a life-goal to bringing expert veterinary care to four-legged family members at a practice of their own.
After practicing for many years at 24-hour emergency and referral practices with boarded specialists, they connected with Dr. Stuart Rosenburg, the previous owner, who selected them to take over ownership.They are honored to continue his vision of excellent, compassionate veterinary care - and are proud to serve South Tampa's finest.

Our goal is to exceed your expectations by providing the highest quality veterinary care with genuine compassion in a safe and comfortable environment. The special bonds we have with our own pets are our motivation for continuous improvement and providing an exceptional educational experience for you at every visit.
We have 6 exam rooms to provide personal attention and comfort while you are here at Bayshore Animal Clinic. Our feline patients can be seen comfortably away from the scent of dogs in our exclusively feline room. When it is critical to get blood results immediately, our in-hospital laboratory equipment allows us to run several types of blood panels to evaluate the health of our patients.
Just moved to the area and heard great things about this vet office. I was amazed by the cleanliness of the office and friendly employees. They have cold drinks at the front for their customers which seems like such a small thing, but these details are what set them apart from others. Jose the tech was super friendly and made us feel so welcomed.

I moved from Jersey to Tampa back in 2017 and was looking for a reliable vet clinic. After doing extensive search and reading reviews I went with Bay shore animal clinic. I love this place . The doctors, the vet Tecs to front office have been so wonderful to our pets and us. The service they provide is exceptional. And they truly do care for your pets. The vets here are super caring and put animal welfare first. We absolutely adore Dr Higgins. Highly recommend Bayshore Animal Clinic

Came into the clinic back in July, new to the area and my dog was sick. They took him in instantly and gave the best care, unlike some of the local vets that refused to take a new patient. They sent his medical records to other colleagues across the United States to help get second opinions on testing and X-rays. Explained in Layman terms what was going on. Had to make a hard decision and they were so great at such a hard time. Now having a new puppy, they are still as friendly and pleasant. Without a doubt trust them with my dog.

The owners of this practice has and will continue to be visceral towards any and all patient family members when there is wrongdoing on their part causing the death of the family's pet. There is zero compassion for the bereaved and the lost of their loved one when it comes to this practice. The bottom line here is it's all about making MONEY off of you and your pet, and not the sincere care of your loved one like they profess. Do not be fooled. It's a facade. If your little one is misdiagnosed and dies bc of their treatment then they will do anything to anyone to cover it up

I've been taking my dog here since he we a pup. Loved the place at first, but now they are charging $100 for a same day appointment.... They never used to before and claim it's always been policy. Forcing more money out of your pocket knowing your dog has to be seen same day if they are randomly super sick. They also are not accommodating with prescriptions and make it impossible to get meds outside of their own office.

Nothing but the best care for our animals. The entire staff is always so accommodating and go out of their way to make sure your pet is comfortable and so are you. They don't rush you and always make sure your questions are answered. We appreciate the veterinarians and the staff at Bayshore Animal Clinic.

I had no choice but to give one star, I would have given ZERO! They are nothing but a conveyor belt - the office Practice Manager sucks and walks around like he owns the place and is rude to everyone....
They do not care about saving their patients money they are all about money... Which tells me they do not care about your pets only the size of your wallet $$$$

Without a doubt the best choice we could have made for our pets since moving to Tampa. The reputation speaks for itself and the service was unmatched even in a world where lobby's don't exist.
I was in constant communication with the tech and the doctor throughout the visit while I waited in the parking lot. I look forward to future visits and could not recommend BAC enough!

I have an appt with Dr. Bucki, and I haven't even been to my first appt, but this office is SO ACCOMMODATING!! I have so many questions before getting my puppy in Oct, and Dr. Bucki gave me a call back to answer my questions. They gave me recommendations to trainers, provided details on appointment costs, and have been so helpful even before my first appointment! Also, Dr. Bucki has done training in acupuncture for pets, how cool is that?!

I needed a vet in a slight emergency, my dog's foot was super swollen and I thought it might be broken. He hadn't eaten all day. Bayshore fit me in same day and Dr Bowes took care of my fur baby, Otis! It turns out he didn't have a break, but possibly something muscular or tendon related. They gave him an anti inflammatory shot and prescribed him another chewable anti inflammatory and a pain killer. He's been doing great and the vet was wonderful! I'll be taking him back if I need anything else and its wonderful to know that I have a great place to take Otis in the

Wouldn't take my dog anywhere else!! I have been brining my dog here since he was 10 weeks old. Love this place, they are truly excellent at what they do and are so attentive. My dog always gets the best care here! Dr. Drews is truly such a caring vet and takes his time with his patients. He thoroughly explains and shares so much of his knowledge with me when I go and has ALWAYS solved my doggy's issues. Great listener and truly cares about the animals!

My labradoodle Bailey has been a patient of Dr.Bucki's for about a year and a half now. I can't thank this man enough for always taking such great care of my fur baby! Countless times I have called up for advice or just being a worried dog mom and he is always patient and prompt with his response. On the plus side, they were very nice, saw my cat quickly when he was ill, and made some good suggestions for his care. They have a nice, modern facility and are a fear-free practice.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay with them long-term because they're just ludicrously, crushingly expensive and have some strange policies about internet vendors that would have made our life more difficult (who needs that?)
Two visits with basic labs, urinalysis, X-ray, a couple of common meds, and some sub-cutaneous fluids was nearly $1000. I looked at my itemized bill and just the sq fluid (literally

My pups and I recently moved back to Tampa, and we chose Bayshore Animal Clinic based on fellow Yelpers' recommendations. The whole clinic impressed me from my initial call to schedule an appointment to our most recent visit for Penelope's booster shots and thunder-induced anxiety.
