When you visit Animal Doctors of South Tamp, you can feel confident and calm knowing your pet is in good hands. During every single visit, we will make sure that you and your four-legged family members are well taken care of. We recommend annual wellness exams to keep our patients feeling their best!
I will never go anywhere else. The service is spectacular. The rooms are clean and well stocked. There is no push to spend more than you are comfortable with like I have gotten at other vets. Every time I have gone there, the prices have been surprisingly inexpensive. I recently had an emergency with one of my cats.

We took our 17 year dog to be euthanized since she was suffering from jaw cancer as well as advance dementia. The staff, in particular, Dr. Putnam showed compassion and took the time to let us have few last moments with our family pet. Although, the euthanizing process is painful to undergo, Dr. Putnam explained it to us in layman's terms. The personal note she send us afterwards was a nice gesture. Recommend this vet for all you pet's medical needs.

We are snowbirds and needed our 2yo 70lb lab Sally seen for an infection all over the right side of her face...she needed medical care and antibiotics soon. The vet we normally use here couldn't/wouldn't fit us in OR just call in antibiotics for her and referred us to the Animal Doctors. Ya after going to the Animal Doctors of South Tampa on Gandy, we will be using them for all vet needs moving forward. The doctors and staff were VERY caring, knowledgeable, and kind when taking care of our Sally. They do walk-ins only, but if you need seen today just go and your pet will be seen. We HIGHLY recommend

Caring, reasonable, and unbelievably dedicated.... This clinic is about 9 miles from our house, we have loads of other clinics we’ve been to.. I’m just so sorry I didn’t come here sooner.
Our first vet (not this one) who was located closer to our home, was uncaring and was more interested in the cash approach rather than the care given. We left with a cat, still undiagnosed, found out the following day the cat was in renal failure. The bill after partial Ki bloodwork only, was well over $270.

Animal Doctors of South Tampa blew me away today! They have the friendliest staff and amazing customer service! Doctor Putnam is outstanding. I was referred here after wanting a second opinion on what was wrong with my dog. On 05/18/21 I brought my dog here. This place does not take appointments, which is bizarre at this time with everything going on with Covid. Needless to say, I waited over an hour from 8:15 am - 9:15 am. I called in 3 times, in 15 minute increments, was told that I was next. No one apologized for making me wait on a Tuesday morning for an hour in their parking lot, furthermore, the woman I spoke with was not helpful at all and flat out disrespectful, and when I informed her that I was going to write a review, she stated, "go ahead, fine by me" Wow.

The wait times continue to increase despite having have 2 more vets on staff. We almost changed practices when Dr Macgee left several years ago. But we also really liked Dr Lynch. Dr Lynch has now left the practice too. That was our queue to depart. I love that they offer walk-ins all day and no appointments and take their time, but it's really gotten out of control. 60-90 min wait for our dog's monthly nail trim and gland expression is absurd.

By far the absolute BEST Vet and Animal Doctors services, along with extremely reasonable pricing, we have ever encountered!!! There are some great Vets in the Tampa Bay area. However, most others have become much too expensive and have long waiting times for an appointment. This location surpassed my expectations with their super friendly, attentive, care for my elderly pug. Then, in the end, the bill was WAY lower than I ever imagined. I am SO impressed with these wonderful Animal Doctors and their devoted staff that we will never go anywhere else, as long as we live in Tampa!!! Thank you

I recently moved to Tampa and knew I would need to get my dog spayed. A fee people with the same breed as I recommended Animal Doctors of So. Tampa. I was nervous about leaving my baby overnight. The doctor called with a progress report after the surgery and my dog was in good spirits when I picked her up the following morning. No complications. This establishment has thee best, most careful doctors in town. Dr. Putnam, Dr. Lynch , Dr.Hall are great with greeting customers and handling themselves in a very professional manner. Dr. Kendall Putnam saw our dogs and she was just the best. Its easy to tell that she really loves the animals and that makes all the difference. She was really great with both our dogs. I can't express how lucky I am to have this place for my pets. Each doctor is amazing, helpful, and directive. They don't push things on you, they keep it simple, and they give advice as if it were their own animal.
My dog broke his leg in a freak accident just playing normal. They knew after one X-ray that they were not capable of doing the surgery and called every specialist near by to get us in for the sever break. They found one for us and got us in that day. I love this place.I will never go anyplace else.Monday morning my cat and dog needed to be seen.They were definitely slammed.I had no appointment and new it could be awhile.The front desk is incredibly accommodating,especially Kristen! Although after 2 hours I was ready to go and needed to get checked out.The above and behind attention was noticed and appreciated.The prices are so reasonable for this South Tampa location!!!! The WORST!!!! I was bringing my dog in multiple times for a lump on him stomach I was concerned about. Each time I was told I was being over concerned and sent home. After the 3rd time coming in over a year (the lump growing each time) I scheduled to have removed against the doctors orders. My surgery date was for the following Friday , I wanted a second option so I went to another vet a few days before the surgery and it was full blown cancer that had spread all over my dogs body for the year I was bringing him in to this horrible vet ! My dog had to go through 13 rounds of chemo and 2 surgeries

Dr. Hall saved my cat's life! I brought my baby in with severe urinary tract blockage Saturday morning and we were seen within 15 minutes. My cat Phantom needed immediate surgery and had to stay at the clinic the whole weekend to recover. Dr. Hall called every day with updates. "No appointment necessary" is both convenient and inconvenient at the same time. I like it when I have a random day off from work and want to be productive by taking my dog in for shots or a wellness visit but if I am pressed for time I think a appointment would be nice. Maybe they could do both?? Appointments and "walk-ins welcome" would be a nice option.

Each time I've brought my dog here she has seen Dr. Cynthia Lynch and I'm sure the other doctors are equally caring and qualified, but my dog has received such great care from Dr. Lynch I had to mention her.
Most recently, my old dog had a tumor removed and Dr. Lynch was so caring with my dog while also being so thoughtful and sensitive to how I was feeling. The rest of the staff are also pleasant and helpful.

Animal Doctors of South Tampa was recommended to me by a fellow Yelper and I am really glad she sent me this way. From the day I took my dog into the vet, the staff was warm, courteous and really helpful.
My dog had a reaction to his shots and the doctors made sure to be extra careful with him the next time around, all while snuggling and making my little mutt feel super relaxed.
I've boarded my dog here before too and know he was in good hands while I was away. You can just walk in whenever without an appointment to be seen, which I think is pretty great
