Prior to attending law school, Daniel M. Hartzman graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Religious Studies. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Attorney Hartzman worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman Barney Frank, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, and later Congressman Ed Perlmutter.

I called with a question about what the procedure for retaining this firm was. The person who answered the phone kept saying the office did not provide free advice. I didn't want free legal advice -- I wanted to ask what the procedure for retaining this firm was. The person I was speaking to asked what country I was from and then put me on hold for a minute and then returned and said that the attorney said he wasn't interested in my business, which is quite clear, but -- phew -- I've never had a law firm refuse to even tell me what their procedure for being retained was. Really unpleasant and weird
