Today I went in for a deep cleaning, and I have to say I was blown away by my experience. Their patient care is wonderful and I'm really appreciative of the patience/words of encouragement that they had for me. It's been a long time since I've been to a dentist, and I'm glad that they are the people that I have chosen.

So so happy I have now found my permanent dentist office in LA.
I had my first appointment a couple weeks back after a year and a half of not getting a cleaning. I was greeted by a lovely receptionist to made the check-in process so smooth.
The dentist, Chen, was gentle and informative of what needed to be done and how long I could go without. He was honest and made me feel safe.
Lastly, I finished the appointment with the dental assistant, Mary, who was funny and friendly. She explained to me the breakdown in price and did her best to fit me in the schedule as I have limited availability

Most HORRIBLE experience I have had with a dentist. When I first went in for X-rays they didn't charge me anything and charged my insurance. The second time I went in for a crown they charged me $925 as a cash patient and NEVER sent a claim to the insurance. I asked for the treatment breakdown for the $925 charge that I signed and it mysteriously disappeared. Today they tried to get me to sign a new $2035 treatment plan that I refused to sign and are now saying the $925 was the DMO fee. How can it be a DMO fee when you said I was charged as a cash patient with no insurance and you told the

Switched dentists about 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. Dr. Chen is an excellent dentist. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and makes going to the dentist a pleasant overall experience (coming from someone not too keen on going to the dentist's office). Not only that but his staff is just as great. Highly recommended.

My family of 4 just had a great first experience! The entire staff was professional and friendly! The Hygienists were amazing with my little ones and we all left with big smiles. Dr. Strouse is gentle, informative, and we felt very comfortable. Definitely found our family dental office!! Highly recommend for family & cosmetic dentistry!

I'm very pleased with the service provided here. The staff is friendly, and are gentle and caring when doing dental procedures. It is a nice clean place. I also like their later hours which is great when one can't take time off work. I was coming here when it was the previous dentist but decided to stay when it became this new business due to the service they provide.

After moving I was worried about having to find a new dentist I could trust. I made an appointment with Dr. Chen after reading the positive reviews. Love this place! I am a leftover patient from Dr Carnow. When he sold his practice, i thought "ohhh nooo". My husband was in the middle of getting serious dental work done, so we had to stay! Boy am I glad we did! Dr. Chen and staff are the best! Mary works with every kind of budget. I even switched insurance so we could stay with Dr. Chen!! Highly recommend!

I came here after finding it on Yelp based on all the good reviews. I didn't have a good dental insurance plan but they did their best to help me out and made me feel appreciated as a new patient. I'm embarrassed to say I had to get a crown, root canal and several cavity fillings after having no issues for ten years. Alas I had been eating too much sugar and not flossing as diligently. I have so much anxiety going to the dentist however the doctor explained everything as he performed the dental work and made sure I was okay. Most importantly I didn't feel any pain! I appreciate

New to area and liked the reviews. They were spot on and this dentist and his staff would get 100 stars if possible. They are prompt with their responses and very professional to work with. My wife is terrified of dentists and they even had her relaxed and come back for further treatment. Absolutely outstanding! I came in as an emergency patient, since my regular dentist wasn't in the office. Not only did they take me in a few minutes after my call, but they made a same-day appointment for me at an oral surgeon's office. When it turned out I needed the tooth removed, Ocean Smiles was able to take me in just a couple of hours later!
There is no better staff and dentist than Ocean Smiles. I am now a regular patient and feel like I'm with the best of the best!

Dr Strouse is the best! He treats all his patients like family and always makes time if you have an emergency. It is so reassuring to have such a reliable dentist. He explains everything thoroughly and does not make me feel like he is doing unnecessary work. The staff is wonderful, especially the one assistant Andrea, she is just a doll. I would recommend this practice to anyone!!!
