Services
Dr. Jekel caters to families, which includes treating children three years and up. We recommend that children come to dental appointments with mom or dad before his or her first visit. The little one will see that the dental visit is easy and this creates a comfortable environment before his or her first appointment.
When decay is detected in earlier stages, Dr. Jekel, our Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex area dentist, generally recommends a composite filling. This is a tooth-colored resin that is placed in the prepared cavity. This material eliminates the ability for a filling to be noticeable and prevents further decay.
A crown, or cap, is a covering for your tooth that replaces worn, broken, or decayed areas of the tooth. Crowns provide strength, durability and function and may also be used to cosmetically enhance your smile. Crowns are most often used to restore and protect teeth that no longer have sufficient tooth structure to support a traditional filling.
Dental implants are designed to replace congenitally missing teeth or teeth lost due to accidents or dental disease. Dr. Jekel works closely with the implant surgeon for proper placement of the implant body into the jaw bone prior to anchoring a replacement crown or bridge to replace the missing teeth.
When bacteria in your mouth form a sticky film called plaque and it is not removed through brushing and flossing, it hardens into tartar. In some patients, plaque and tartar build up more easily and/or quickly. When this is not removed, an infection called gingivitis or gum disease results. At this stage, the disease process can be reversed.

Excellent crew of Dental hygienist in Dr. Jekels office. Myself and my family have gone to for a few years now. They don''t miss anything and will notice anything going on with your gums or teeth before you even know it. As long as you go 2 times a year for annual cleanings and follow their instructions to maintain on a consistent basis ,you will have healthy teeth for life with this crew. As a marketer I appreciate their effort to try to grow their Google + reviews with the note the left in my bag of dental goodies.

Our family started going to him in the last 12 years. He is very honest and will not suggest dental work that is not needed. We feel we can trust him and not have to get second opinions. My kids are now 21 and 20 years old and they still go to him. His office personnel is always friendly and attentive.
