I recently relocated from NY (Westchester County) to Prescott, AZ. While out having dinner (Mexican Food) with my family, my tooth starting hurting really bad when chewing. I can't tell you how much this freaked me out. I'm so afraid of going to the dentist, let alone finding a new one that would not rip me off so I called around to a few places in Prescott and Prescott Valley. Prescott Dental Center was the only place that offered a FREE no obligation check up with FREE x-rays too. At the exam/checkup, I was given options and decided to have my wisdom tooth removed. Overcharged and until we received our Explanation of Benefits from insurance, we weren’t informed. I had to call, repeatedly do the math with Anna over the phone, she finally found where they had billed for two exams instead of one. 3 business days later, still waiting on Anna to call back and refund. Update: Started calling 9/20 - finally resolved after much frustration and arguing on 9/24. Will not be going back and will certainly not recommend to ANYONE. In fact I’m spreading the word where I work and to my friends - unconcerned office staff don’t have any sense of urgency once they’ve

This is a top notch dental practice! Dr Spurgeon has been my dentist for over 7 years. I have had issues for many years with my teeth due to poor dental care when I was in my teens. He has gradually helped me get my teeth back to good condition and is ALWAYS very fair with recommendations and pricing. A few years I moved to Phoenix and went to a dentist there who quoted me over $5000 to fix some issues with my teeth. After coming back up to see Dr Spurgeon he said 80% of what they quoted wasn’t necessary. He has earned my business 10x over, I highly recommend him and his team. As long as I live

Probably the worst experience I have had yet. I went in for the free quote, at first everything was fine. People were friendly, the doctor was alright. It soon went down hill, the dentist was very rude. The office staff (with the exception of the check-in lady) was extremely impatient and seemed as if I was waisting their time. The dentist needs better table side mannor, he was extremely unfriendly. I would not recommend. I found a better dentist who made me feel better about the work he is about to do. I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD.

Dr. Spurgeon is an excellent dental surgeon. He takes his time explaining the procedure and what he is doing during the procedure. My husband and I have been to several dentists and have never received such great care and follow-up. We also love his staff, who are very professional but at the same time make you feel very "at home".

Prescott Dental Center really takes care of you as a patient, they treat you like a friend. The two ladies at the front desk are very helpful and cheerful when you walk in the door. The two ladies in back are Dr. Spurgeon's right hand. They help him with the treatment and are professional. Dr. Spurgeon is very informative when it comes to your treatment. He gives you all your options and then his staff helps with insurance questions if you have them. He doesn't try to have you do unnecessary things and he's really nice too. i highly recommend this office.

I have been seen by this dentist twice. He has been great! Great chair side manor and explains everything to you! Super gentle! He is the master of extractions! If you need to be sedated this is the practice to go to! I will be going back for my cleanings and any other dental work my family or I need. The staff is also great they helped me out with everything! The girls in the back are great and super helpful too. I would recommend him to everyone.

The whole practice is wonderful. First, Dr. James is great. He was friendly and personable and took his time vs rushing. I've never met a dentist who spoke with me as much as Dr. James. Second, the entire staff was nice from my first phone call with the receptionist to the dental hygenist who cleaned my teeth. People were smiling and it made the whole environment pleasant. The space is also nice and the location is amazing I walked by the place a million times before making an appointment because it's so close to the subway.

Awesome dentist, have been there many times!! To some of the other people who have reviewed this... If you knew anything, you would know that most dentists send all the dentures, partials, crowns, & other dental appliances out to a lab to be made. He doesn't make them himself. Second, if you aren't happy with the work... most dentists guarantee their work and will fix the problem. I know he does...

A couple of years ago when my mother was 93 years old I took her to Dr. Sprugeon because he did sedation therapy. Unfortunately, he was unable to use the sedation therapy because of all the pain medication she was taking. Also the novacaine did not work either. He pulled nine teeth and made a denture. The denture had the front teeth over to the side and it hurt when she tried to eat. We went back several times but he was unable to stop it from hurting. I took her to another dentist who was appalled at the shoddy work. He was able to fix the denture so it didn't hurt as much but was unable to do
