The best bouldering setting of any gym I've been to and my wife agrees. We never agree on setting but this gym sets so well. We are from Colorado and climbed here for 3 weeks over Christmas. We are bummed to go back to Colorado and climb at our gyms because the setting here is so much better.

If you want a nice relaxing time, DO NOT COME HERE.
The staff is great and most of the routes are okay, but there are way too many kids running around unattended. Kids climbing underneath me, kids climbing whatever boulder they want with no etiquette, and kids belaying by themselves. I get it they're kids, but almost no one was watching them and my experience here was completely unenjoyable as I was too distracted by the recklessness of the children.

As a first timer at BETA (and rock climbing in general), I found my experience to be wonderful! I signed myself and a friend up for a 1 hour class and Lauren was wonderful! She was super informative about the do's and don'ts of rock climbing, and had no problem answering our many questions. Overall, my first time experience was fun! I look forward to visiting again.

Awesome space, lots of options for angles/aspects, nice and helpful staff. The setting for bouldering is just...not awesome. Awkward, forced almost-rose moves and strange crosses, mandatory (silly) dynos, weird stuff all around. If I'm at a gym, I'm there to get strong--give me steep walls, small holds, and bad feet, and don't overthink it!

What a frustrating experience in this club... I couldn't get my belay test because I wasn't belaying exactly the way that the guy at the front desk wanted to... only belaying as it is accepted in every clubs in NY, in every countries I have been to, in every high level competition and the only way accepted in France because known at the safest...… but not great enough for the beta club. The only answer I could get was "you failed the test, we do not have time to give you a class, come back tomorrow and do it again". Because yes it is well know that without any practice you improve easily

Pretty good gym, lots of varying routes. Very hard boulders. Fun top ropes and challenging lead climbs. The auto-belay system was very cool. Facility was clean, well maintained, and clearly labeled. Staff were knowledgeable but rude when explaining climbing terms and gym guidelines. Memberships are crazy expensive for such a small gym. Would not spend another $26 for a day pass, when the day passes at CRG in Glastonbury are only $11. Overall decent gym.

Signed up for the Learn the Ropes class. What a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back. Front desk was very helpful, watched a short video, got shoes and started the class. We were lucky enough to get 2 awesome instructors Kylie and Ty. Class was scheduled for 90 minutes but they gave us some extra instruction. By the end of class we were comfortable with tying knots and heading up the wall. Stayed for another half hour to try progressively tougher climbs. We will be back. Thanks to the Beta team.

I have absolutely no athletic ability or interest, and went to beta on a whim in feb. I'm now a member and absolutely love it. The people there are consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. Many staff members have gone way out of their way to support me and make sure I feel safe. The staff are incredible! The building itself is kept clean. There are also social events that make the gym into a community environment

Super friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable. Lots and lots of options to start indoor climbing. We attended a charity event so thanks Beta! Advanced climbers will be happy too. They also have workout equipment, ping pong too. They give reviewers free passes, allegedly. Tip your staff/guide (recommended). They have all the equipment you need, make it a party. Very safe.

Poor Customer service- Bad Experience
I recently went here with my Just turned 7 year old son for a nice day of climbing. We had been there previously and wanted to make it a regular trip for us especially since it is indoors and it is difficult to find indoor activities to do in the winter. We got suited up with shoes and harness $60.00 and my son went on the wall and on his second climb and within 5 minutes he fell and Badly hurt his ankle. He was unable to continue he was crying and in pain. I politely asked can you apply the $60.00 we paid to our account because we can't continue and we

This place has sparked my interest in climbing. That is due to the friendly staff, amazing facility but the biggest reason is the overall positive vibe. You just feel better walking in.
In terms of climbing - they have everything you could want. A long bouldering wall, top rope, auto belays and lead climbing. They also have courses to help you improve and become certified.
One of my favorite places. Check it out. First time is free of charge.
Edit: first time if free as a guest of member

Awesome climbing gym in Stamford. They have a large amount of both bouldering and top roping. They also have some gym equipment, yoga, and a place to chill and work on your computer.
I have only been bouldering here but it is a great place to go. A decent variety of routes and a consistent rating scale for their routes following the standard V scale. They reset the routes regularly. The newly set section tends to be a little crowded but the rest is generally pretty empty and really easy to just hop on the wall and climb.
I go here every week so it's got to be pretty good right? Well I think it

This place is amazing. It looks a little unassuming from the outside, but you step inside and you feel like you've entered a vast, technicolor dream world. It's a huge space with many climbing options for the entire range of skill levels. And besides the climbing, the facilities include a fitness area, locker rooms fitted with showers and even some basic toiletries, and a snack bar. Since I work from home, I can bring in my laptop and spend an entire day there, taking breaks from work to do some climbing (or is it the other way around)? I just started climbing recently, but BETA is the

I had an amazing first experience here. Not only did the staff help to explain all the different climbing options they truly care about the safety and comfort of their customers. I am 5 months pregnant and was given a special harness so when I rappelled from the wall there was no pressure on my tummy. The place has a ton of climbing options not to mention a gym and yoga classes. Not only is rock climbing fun but it is a great workout! Highly recommend this place to anyone that has wanted to try rock climbing but has never done it.

What a fantastic gym to climb in! The quality of the climbing is great, route-setters are thoughtful and put up some challenging routes. It's clean, well-lit, has heat (!!) and the employees couldn't be more friendly. It's got everything you could want - great bouldering, top roping, phenomenal lead wall, auto-belays for when your partner can't make it, etc. The workout area is great also. I'll definitely be back!!

It seems that the process is slow at first, but I'd say efficient in an era of liability. The employees are super friendly, very professional, and there to assist and answer questions. The place is top notch with bouldering walls and top routes, that have both an auto belay system as well as a conventional belay method. There is a gym and an area to relax and recover. It's a must check out for staying in shape, both climbing shape and in general, through the winter months as well as the wicked humid period. Whenever I'm in the area I'm stopping in to spend some quality time

Fantastic new climbing gym. They have a ton of bouldering options and levels with the best landing pads around. Wide array of problem types and holds to keep you challenged. They also have a competition wall build for World Bouldering comps. They have a ton of top ropes, traditional anchor system and auto belays, a lead wall and soon a speed climbing wall. The area is open concept and had plenty of room for lots of climbers. They even have a mezzanine above the gym equipment for hanging out, playing games, it watching other climbers. The staff is friendly and all seem happy to be there.
