When I graduated from college (ODU), and was blessed with a job opportunity in Norfolk, I was lucky to find the Lafayette. I first moved into the Lafayette in May of 2019 and just recently moved out July of 2021. I'm proud to say that I was a resident of the Lafayette. The staff is amazing. They were accommodating, kind, respectful, and they treated me like family. I want to give a couple of shoutouts. Shout Out to Delores and Melanie for being great people. They looked out for me, knowing that I was a first time apartment renter at the time. They even helped me in finding the apartment I reside

I’ve been living here since Halloween, and I love my place. My balcony is big enough to have a couch, and I have this cool entry way where I was able to put my aquarium. Maintance is always ready to help and Delores and the property manager I forget her name is always so happy! Most def staying here another year the staff sells the place just as much as the spacious apartments.

This is my first experience as a resident in a high rise apartment building, and for the most part, I like it here! Sure, there are a lot of things about private home ownership that I miss, but I've also lived in worse places. I think the greatest asset to living at the Lafayette is the staff. I especially appreciate Delores! Delores has always… greeted me with a positive, optimistic, and "I'm just glad to be helpful" kind of attitude. Even if I go storming into the office to complain about something, Delores never loses her composure, rather, she maintains her professionalism. My only complaint

I love living here! The apartments are huge and have lots of space, the balcony and large windows allow me to see the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen, and the staff here is wonderful! Rent is at fair price for what you get especially with some utilities included. Highly recommend looking into The Lafayette!

I lived here 15 years ago for about 5 years. I moved back because of the positive experience. The staff is amazingly friendly. It’s an older building so issues may/will occur. However, the service to correct it is what’s important. I love my view of Granby. I love the spacious rooms. It’s close to so many things. I’ve suggested this complex to a ton of friends and folks looking for a new place to call home.

I’m split on how I feel about this apartment, because Melanie and James are phenomenal. Always kind and helpful. However, since the Donaldson group took over, things have gone downhill very quickly. We have had roaches in our apartment for two months. We have made Melanie aware of this problem every week and despite treatment from pest control,… the problem only worsens. It is beyond disgusting to take a shower, and roaches come out of the shower head. I take a coat out of the closet and have to shake the roaches off. This morning, I poured coffee and 15 baby roaches were swimming
