Hands down the absolute best!! Had an infected tooth and They squeezed me in at 4:00 on a Friday! Who does that? Dr. Stern does! Plus, Eileen, office manager, is the nicest and most caring person. I cannot say enough Great things. I love the experience so much that I drive from Calabasas to Westwood! Thanks for everything Dr Stern.

I have been seeing Dr Stern for a long time after another dentist ghosted me during a dental emergency. I have followed him through a couple of office moves further from my home. The office is so well run & everyone is professional & kind. I love that Dr Stern doesn't try to upsell me & that I know I'm in good hands with him. The hygienists are great too

Best dentist office ever! Staff is so nice and helpful. They never try to push any services and I 1000% trust them. I have asked for services that any other office would say OK just to make some money but this office really wants what’s best for you!! If you’re looking for a honest doctor, which is rare to find in LA, look no further.

Dr Stern and his staff are the best!! I lucked out working next door to them in Santa Monica for years, getting to know them as neighbors and as a patient. They’re all super nice and professional. They were very gentle with me and dealt better than most with my terrible gag reflex. I continued on for a bit after their move to Westwood but the drive became too difficult after I also moved further away.
I appreciate them sooo much more now since I’ve moved out of the area and am stuck searching for a new dentist!! I only wish I wrote my review sooner. I highly recommend Dr Stern.

5+ star review from one lucky patient.
I was so scared to pull out my wisdom tooth. If you Google wisdom tooth extraction, you will see pictures of swollen cheeks and bruised eyes. This did not happen to me at all. And, after leaving Dr Stern's office, I never took a pain reliever. I could sleep through the night and next morning after the procedure I was in the gym like nothing happened. No pain at all! How awesome is that? The whole process including waiting for anesthesia to work took about only 40 minutes. And by the way, the tooth was broken in half so there was nothing to grub on

I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon that works with Dr. Stern. I know first-hand how detail oriented and knowledgeable he is. He is extremely thoughtful regarding treatment planning of dentistry and has a great chairside manner. It puzzles me how anyone could give him anything but a 5 star rating.

I've been a patient of Dr. Stern for several years now, and I am extremely pleased with the level of service that I have received. He is knowledgeable and communicative, capable and effective. His office runs efficiently and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Literally, everything you need/want in a dental provider.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say not only about Dr. Stern but his whole staff as well. Dr. Stern is everything you're looking for in a dentist. He is on time, genuine, honest, kind, gentle & down to earth. He takes the time to thoroughly explain any procedure and never recommends unnecessary work. I hope I never have to move out of Santa Monica because he's the best!

Dr Stern has all the qualities you want in a dentist. He's calm and precise in his treatments and he's conservative with the quantity of work to be done. He also doesn't try to up-sell you all his office's services like most other dentists do. He's just a good dentist.
"Shopping for dentists" is a very uncomfortable process. How are you to know what a dentist is like until they've worked on you? And, yet, who wants to discover a "bad" dentist that way? This is how I felt before visiting Dr. Stern on a friend's recommendation. He really is good

I have visited Dr. Stern around 4-5 times. I know nothing about dentistry, but the most important thing is feeling like:
1) I receive quality care
2) I am not being over diagnosed or given too much treatment that is unnecessary.
Dr. Stern's office checks the box on both of these. In fact, I moved to NYC 18 months ago and decided that I go back to LA enough that I will do my checkups during those visits at his office.
If you work in the area, the convenience is off the charts, too. Water Garden, Yahoo! Center, Universal Building...just float on over.

I recently broke up with my dentist. I had been seeing him regularly since childhood and he was the only dentist I had ever known. I was faithful. Even when I went back east to college, I'd schedule my appointments around the summer and Christmas holidays when I was sure to be home. I agree with puja 100%. Dr Stern takes a lot of pride in his work. He works very hard to make sure everything comes out right. He will take the time to rationally explain what is going on with my teeth in a way that makes perfect sense to me. He has proactively called me at home, after a procedure, to make sure I was ok which is something that no other dentist has ever done.

I had a cavity filled by another dentist and it had been giving me trouble fo the past few months. Dr Stern fixed it. He is patient. doesn't recommend things you dont need and does a great job. he took 1.5 hours to fill it and my teeth feel like nothing was wrong with them!!
i love the office staff and I would definitely recommend him. he is totally awesome. And his staff is absolutely great!
