To help you make this decision, we would like to share with you a little bit about us, who we are, as well as our philosophy about dentistry and the care we provide for our patient family. Dr. Kimes, along with our dental hygienists, assistants and office team, put the needs of our patients first.
Originally from Biloxi, Mississippi, I am excited to call Austin my new home! I have worked in dentistry for more than 10 years and I am truly honored to work with such wonderful dentists. They are the most honest, caring, and humble doctors I have ever met. When I initially started working here I was so impressed by their people skills and the quality of care that they provide for our patients.
There is no greater joy than seeing patients walk into my office wearing a smile, and when it's a smile I helped create, I am reminded why I chose this profession. Whether it's a complete makeover, relieving a patient's discomfort, or just a friendly conversation at a routine check-up, treating our patients like family is my number one priority.
Preventive care is an important part of our practice at Sage Dentistry. Dr. Kimes wants you to have the healthiest smile possible and believe preventive care is the key to not only good oral health, but health of your whole body. We offer our patients the latest in preventive care practices and education to ensure your good oral health.
One of the most common conditions we see in our office is periodontal disease. Periodontal disease affects the supporting structures of your teeth including the gums and bone, and left untreated is a leading cause of tooth loss. Furthermore, uncontrolled periodontal disease can affect whole body health and has shown a correlation with heart disease and diabetes.

I came in today as a new patient and had interactions with Dr. Kimes and several of the staff members. The office is beautiful and comfortable, everybody is friendly and seem happy in their work, and the examination and evaluation were thorough without being alarmist. I have the distinct impression that they are motivated to be fair and honest, and I don't get the sense that they're eager to do unnecessary work. I'll update my review as I gain experience, but I'm already recommending Sage Dentistry and Dr. Kimes to my wife and another person who needs a new dentist.

We've been patients of Dr. Kimes for several years and always have a wonderful experience there. Most recently, she fixed my son's broken tooth and did a careful and lovely composite restoration of the damaged tooth. I was in town for work when I tripped and landed on my face - severely chipping my two front teeth. This happened 24 hours before I had a presentation in front of all of my coworkers, boss, and the CEO. DISASTER! I called every dentist's office I could find in Austin, and none had availability. I absolutely love Sage Dentistry! Excellent and super friendly staff. Was recommended to this office by a coworker and will never go anywhere else! Dr. Latiolais, who recently moved out of Austin, did some bonding on my front tooth and I could not be happier with my smile! Dr. Kimes and Martha performed my comprehensive exam and cleaning. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 5 years, out of pure fear. After several bad dental experiences in the past, I decided that my reoccurring nightmare of my teeth falling out was bound to come true as I decided I would never go to the dentist again.
Then I met Dr. Hoppe (recommended to me by other friends) she's really amazing. I don't think there is a bigger wimp about going to the dentist than me, and she totally turned me around. Her theory on, "If it's painful, then people don't return" totally won me over.
