This is a great building. It's in the heart of the city with delightful amenities, but more than that, the staff is so nice to work with. Claudia and her team have helped us with leases each time, and the process is cordial, friendly and the least stressful it can be. Certainly had much worse experiences at other buildings. Recommend fully for the great staff that work at the building!

I have yet to move my daughter in and already I am confident in giving Wayne Toombs a perfect score. Trellis House has a gold gem working for them. He has graciously walked my daughter and me through the entire process making it, not only stress free, enjoy. He has a wealth of knowledge and shares it with thoughtfulness, professionalism and kindness. He is undeniably the BEST at what he does. Having him guide us has truly put this overprotective mom’s mind at ease. God bless him and his loved ones!

I've lived at Trellis House for the past year and have had a wonderful experience. The building, the staff, and the overall community have been amazing, particularly during the pandemic. After my lease was coming to a close, I decided to move to a new unit on a different floor and the process was incredibly smooth - thanks to Claudia the property manager who guided me through it. I am looking forward to the next year here at Trellis house and want to give a big shout out to the team and staff for making my time here so special.

I lived in a studio apartment in Trellis House for two years, and unfortunately had to move out for personal reasons - I wish I could have stayed! The building is beautiful and the amenities are top notch. The building management changed in the middle of the pandemic and I was concerned that the standard of service would drop (as it does sometimes when apartments change management), but I'm happy to report that it didn't. The new staff have also taken care of my every need, from urgent maintenance requests, to moving packages for me, and even sending me birthday wishes. A special shout out to Tiana

When I first moved in, I sent a couple of videos of the apartment to my parents and I remember my dad saying “you live in an hotel”
Trellis is a beautiful apartment with lots of amenities. My favorite amenities are the sky terrace (the view from the 6th floor is so amazing) and the productivity hub (I actually get a lot of work done there).
The environment gives you a sense of ambiance and comfort. There’s even a private dining area and a yoga room.

I was among the first 10 people to move in the building when it opened and I used to love it. As others have noted, the building’s management changed about 6 months ago and the level of service has really plummeted. The glowing reviews are for staff who no longer work here. A year ago I would have given the building 4 or 5 stars but now it is essentially the most expensive dorm in Shaw. The building is not well made and already repairs are necessary. Loud parties, incessant weed smoking in this non-smoking building, and an unconcerned management staff make living here unpleasant. I am moving

We have been at Trellis House for a year and a half it's a great building. Over the summer, we wanted to upgrade to a larger unit and Claudia and Wayne in the leasing office were incredibly helpful and responsive. All staff in the building, from concierge to housekeeping, are very friendly. The building is very well maintained and always spotless. Maintenance requests are answered promptly. You also can't beat the location of this building as well as the beautiful amenities (which are now open again!).

I made the move to DC for work and I'm so happy that I choose Trellis House the place to call home in the city! My apartment is brand new and sparkles with now clean it is--the amenities are superb and the location is close enough to U street but, also far enough to not be too loud.
The concierge team is what make the Trellis House an A+++++ in my books! , Antoinette, Christon, and Carmine always provide a smiling face and warm hello every time I encounter them and it's genuine and sincere. I appreciate their friendliness and assistance everyday.

I have been living here for the last 2.5 months and it has been a wonderful experience. This place is beautiful, the resident activities in the Shaw area at local bars are absolutely fun and the amenities are to die for. Find me in the gym any day of the week. Couldn't have asked for a better new home.

My husband and I toured this property with Quay, I believe on the first day it opened. She took her time and gave us a really thorough tour which I appreciate. The location is directly across from Howard University dorms and behind the McDonalds on Georgia Ave.
I have never seen such amazing amenities in an apartment building. The private dining room and the lounge area near the pool with the tv blew me away and I can be hard to impress lol. They also have unique features like keyless entry, sliding doors to bedrooms to save space, private work stations, so you can work, study or have meetings

My daughters and I toured The rellis House and I must say it is really nice. Quay was very professional and personable and most importantly patient. She has made this a seamless process. She happily answered my thousand questions and I really appreciated that. The Trellis House has great amenities and the pool is amazingly inviting. I definitely highly recommend The Trellis House.
