Bayfront Fitness
Whether you're looking for a gym membership to work out on your own or with the guidance of a trainer, or in a group fitness class, we have the right options that will work best for you! Feel free to stop by to check us out! Since 1995, Bayfront Fitness has proudly been a unique alternative to the big corporate gyms.

We're not exclusively a bodybuilding or weightlifting gym, although we do plenty of heavy lifting. We're not all about circuit training, but we have a wide variety of good machines to suit the beginner as well as the veteran. We don't like crowds, so there's no waiting for anything! We do like functional training, so there's lots of open space to do your thing, whatever that may be.

Best gym I have ever been to. Mix of adults and teenagers but mostly full of people who actually lift. 10/10

Great place to workout. Very old school but good. Well ventilated and good atmosphere. Not a lot of people around so it's easy to get on equipment you need. Good variety of equipment. It's also easy to get to right off of Marsh.

I started coming to this gym just a couple months ago in the middle of a pandemic . And I have yet to find a gym as Convenient as Bayfront . Not only is the owner and staff amazing ,but I'm able to get in and get my workout done first thing in the morning with my daughter before work . Everything is maintained and the bathrooms are always clean . No other gym right now has been able to accommodate a busy mom's life style . VERY GRATEFUL they been able to stay open during these hard times .

BayFront Fitness is the main reason I stand today feeling happier and stronger. With everything that is going on, a close friend who is also an amazing and outgoing trainer by the name of Vincent, invited me over to check out his gym. This gym is not your typical 24 Hr, City Sports type setting, it's more of a warehouse feel at home type of gym that makes me feel like im working out with in my own custom gym. It has everything you need to get the job done for a full body workout. From dumbbells, squat racks, cardio machines, boxing bags, etc. I was sold after the quick tour and immediately

One of the best gyms I have attended. The gym is complete with all the equipments one could ever need or never think would need. I love the vibe here, everybody is great and helpful. The trainers never shy away from helping one out. I love the part that no one pressures you to leave the gym in case you are a little late. The trainers are courteous to let you finish your workout and help you with exercises in case you might be doing them wrong. No pressure to enroll for a PT when you don't want to.
Really complecent of the new Covid guidelines. Everybody wears a mask and cleans up after themselves

This is actually a really long overdue review. Aside from the fantastic layout of the gym and variety of equipment/machinery available, the staff and trainers are really what define the experience at this gym. I've had the pleasure of working with both Tonya and Vincent and I've never met two trainers who are more attentive and genuinely care about your results. They are also two of the most personable trainers I've ever come across - so aside from seeing progress with these two, you'll also find a trainer who you may just make a friend out of. When you visit this gym and you

I was a member for many years. This place gradually deteriorated, the equipment is poorly maintained. There are no longer towels available to even wipe out the equipment after a workout. Often, you don't have even paper towels in the bathrooms. It was a real struggle to cancel my membership. Phone calls are not returned, not response to email requests to cancel. Finally, I have to put a hold on my Amex to stop being chaged. It became a badly run place.

I recently moved up to the Bay Area and although I have a 24 Hour Fitness membership I prefer coming to Bayfront Fitness as it is never crowded and is only 5 minutes from my house. You never need to wait for a machine/squat rack and there is a large open space to perform conditioning exercises like box jumps and lunges. I've taken boxing classes with Vincent which is a combination of boxing, conditioning, and ab workouts. The boxing classes are fun and you definitely get a great workout! Even though the gym is never crowded, you start seeing familiar faces and everyone is so friendly. It really

A few years ago, this place was like "Average Joe's Gym" if you've seen the movie Dodgeball. Over the past year it has evolved into a gym for the variety of gym goers. If you're a power lifter, like I am, they have power racks and platforms and enough bumper plates to fill the bar. If you're a cross fitter they have tires and sledgehammers, weighted sleds, and TRX style equipment for more gymnastic workouts. If you're just looking to tone, they have boot camp classes and boxing classes, and though I've never attended one, I see plenty of people leaving soaked

A hidden gem. The gym has all the equipment and free weights one can desire. They have classes which appear to be quite popular- I haven't tried. And they have a boxing studio. It's never crowded. Parking is abundant.

The treadmills are a bit long in the tooth but still functional.

Basically if you are looking for a nonpretentious gym this is the place.

No towels :(

This review is for Vincent, who is a personal trainer at this gym. I started training with Vincent in late August.. Here's what I liked about his training.
- He spent time understanding my goals and needs from the training program.
- He makes the workouts fun and challenging.
- I am pushing my mental limitations and challenging myself. I have made significant gains in my strength over the past one month as evidenced by increase in squats/ deadlift numbers.
- He keeps the conversations light hearted and makes the workouts fun.- We have had workouts in the park to bring some challenges and changes

Has great instructors and people. Noone is there to judge you and you can do what feels comfortable. As well as working out you can also do 🥊. So much fun never had more fun in my life. Helps remove all your anger onto punching bags and feels really good. Love it I go every day.

This gym RULES! This is a review of the gym, called Bayfront Fitness, also known as Bayfront Iron Gym (B.I.G.), this is not a review of any of the classes or boxing studio which is attached.

This gym rules. I love it. I have been a regular for over 2 years. I have found this gym has everything you need and more, with a very accommodating layout, helpful instructors if you need them, and a very, very small crowd. There are all the standard cardio and weight/cable machines in a gigantic area with plenty of light and space, then there is a separate area with turf where you can do some interesting

I came here for a yelp event with my daughter and was not disappointed!
The place is very nice, they have an outdoorsy-indoors area which is super fun with the turf. The weight room is nice, although the equipment wasn't necessarily exceptional. I especially loved the walls which are made from recycled materials. And the signs and paintings were also very fun and inviting.

I did a 30m boxing class which kicked my butt!! It was so fun, the instruction was great, and the environment was SO GREAT! It was like being in an EDM concert while punching a bag. The lights in the dark room were so

I've been training at Bayfront with Tonya for 5 months now, and it's been the best 5 months of my life! Never thought that fitness could be so fun. She pushes me and motivates me. I'm seeing more growth and progress than I've ever seen with anyone I've trained with before. I want to be in swimsuits all the time now!

This gym is great. The vibe is welcoming and they are continually making improvements. Everything from new equipment to remodeling the bathroom. The staff are friendly and the boot camp class looks like it will get you in shape! They have personal trainers which I use on a weekly basis. Tonya is da bomb and has definitely made me stronger!

My first time at this gym was about 6-7 months ago pre renovation. Everything was expired and outdated, the only thing that was nice about the gym was the size. After revisiting this past week, Bayfront did a tremendous job upgrading every inch of space they had. Not only do they have an amazing gym, but they offer a number of classes that produce results (boxing theory)! I have had the pleasure of knowing and training with the partners of Bayfront Iron Gym and can say that these guys are the next big thing. Super happy with what they did, looking forward for this gym to be poppin'!

Located in an old warehouse that they completely renovated. Has a feel of an old school, no frills gym (think "Average Joe's" from the movie Dodgeball). They have a boxing theory class that uses water punching bags. It was a great workout and the first time I've ever had my triceps cramp. Also took a HIIT class in the entrance (it wasn't my favorite as the moves weren't too variable, but still a good workout).
Good for those looking for a no frills gym where people most likely know each other.

I have been attending classes at Bayfront Iron Gym (Boxing Theory and bootcamp) since November 2018. After starting a new job in Menlo Park 8 months ago, I was eager to find a gym nearby to help cut down the commute time in traffic to and from my home in San Francisco. The boxing classes are fun, high energy and challenging. Also incorporated into these boxing classes are various TRX, resistant band and kettlebell exercises which makes these classes uniquely different from your average boxing class. I've had the pleasure of taking classes instructed by Tristan, Vincent and Josh, and they are

Unfortunately this place has problems with accounting and staff all the time. Only a couple of trainers are qualified to work with people. Waist of time with half of the equipment being old/broken and nobody around. The trainer are charging for premium facilities/education but all you get is below average product and services.

Nice facility. They have all the equipment/fitness tools you need to get you to your goal whether it's to lose that stubborn fat or build lagging muscle. One of the trainers Vincent Truong is a master at what he does. Definitely helped me get to my goal within a couple months! Recommend to anyone looking for these characteristics in a training facility
