I went there last year, the first time was great, Dr Kim was really nice and professional, but I do think they need a better front desk person, i did care about the price a lot bc I didn’t have dental insurance and it’s very expensive for replacing four crowns, she didn’t really have patience to explain, they suggested me to buy a dental plan so they would have me some discount but it turned out the price was even more expensive than Dr. Kim told me before. I have been changing dentists often the last several years as I did not feel like the dentists were interested in taking good care of my teeth - just getting another patient through. They weren't finding cavities despite a gap behind one of my fillings being large enough to feel with my tongue and it was growing and a personal history of frequent cavities since I was a child. A dentist that will make you stop dreading going to the dentist! Dr. Kim is wonderful and her staff is so friendly. Today I had my teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist Rita and she did such a great job. Totally painless but very thorough. Never crazy long waits to make an appointments or to be seen once you arrive. Definitely check this place out if you need a dentist in the Bucktown area!

Great first impressions, easy to schedule appointments, very thorough hygienist so after a couple visits, I was comfortable getting a few old fillings replaced at The Art of Dental Care. It went downhill from there. A few hours after filling my front tooth I had to go back for corrections, and only 7 months later, that filling is debonding from my tooth and chipping. I also started feeling sensitivity in one of my back molars. Dr. Kim and her team are great--the best experience I've had with a dentist. I was new to the neighborhood and had a relatively urgent dental need arise. They were able to fit me in the same day I contacted them. I wasn't able to arrange childcare on such short notice, and they even helped watch my newborn daughter during the appointment, something I would never expect from a dentist's office. Truly exceptional service. I'll be returning regularly (well...hopefully just every six months!).

I love this office. I have been to several dentists in the area and none were exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Kim is great. She’s quick and tries to get you the most for your insurance dollar. For example I had a cavity but she told me to wait so I wouldn’t exceed my limit this year, hence saving me money. Also the hygienists are all really nice and personable. I would recommend!

This is my third attempt in over two years to find a dentist/dental practice that I liked. I had x-rays and a basic cleaning. Everything was awesome. The dental hygienist was very thorough and personable. Dr. Kim was also very personal and professional. They didn’t take hours of x-rays or try to sell me on unnecessary work. It was very refreshing and I’ve already scheduled my next appointment. Highly recommend.

Dr. Kim and Jennifer were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! One of the best experiences I've ever had at the dentist, they took care of me as well as made me knowledgeable showing me ways to keeping my teeth healthy and strong. Dr. Kim and her staff are great. I recently had to get a filling and the Novocain would not work that day, for whatever reason I still felt the drilling. Dr. Kim was understanding, patient with me and respectful - I am so happy she didn't push to just keep going, but listened to me and we decided to try the filling in a couple weeks. I love Dr. Kim and her staff. I've been going to her for years! She's apart of the family now. She's a perfectionists and values her work, that's exactly what I need because teeth are very important to me. She also doesn't recommend anything just to get an extra buck. If you don't need the work, she will tell you.

I recently had my first visits to The Art of Dental Care and can truly say that I have never enjoyed the dentist before, but I truly did enjoy my treatment there. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful, and I have never had a dentist treat me as well as Dr. Kim. Her care for me and my teeth went well beyond standard treatment, and her chair-side manner set a new standard for me for dental care.

I can't say enough good things about The Art of Dental Care. The entire staff is very friendly and make every visit as pleasant as possible (for a trip to the dentist, that is.) They've handled everything for me from basic cleanings, to fillings, to recently setting me up with a new crown that they had made in their office while I waited.
I'm not looking to go back to the dentist, but when I do, it will be with Dr. Kim.

This place used to be Ran by some one else. I have only been since Dr Kim has been in charged and it's by far the best dentist I have been to ever.
A week ago I was cleaning out my paperwork folder and found estimates from another dentist from when I had better instance. The total? Almost 3 grand more than what I needed at AODC.
I have since gotten all the work I needed done. I needed a lot of work done and was worried about some of the pain, as all are. Dr Kim and her staff are very sensitive to this and my pain was very minimal, if any.

I can't give a dentist 5 stars. I just can't do it because it's never entirely awesome to go to the dentist (Sorry, Dr. Kim!).
That being said, this is really a very pleasant office to go to. The entire staff is super friendly and make you feel very welcome. I had not been to a dentist in about three years (shame on me) so, not surprisingly, I had (and still have) some work to be done. I got a Groupon for this place 'cos I am temporarily unable to afford my regular dentist. I was way overdue for a cleaning. Cue anxiety!
First of all, I didn't like that I bought the Groupon in what . . . November, and couldn't get an appointment until April. Hmm. Well, whatever, I dealt with that, and here it is . . . April.
I was nervous about my gums on one side of my mouth. So naturally, I'd built it up in my head to be a disaster of imminent tooth-loss proportions. Implants! Root canals! Never mind that I've never needed any of this, I was thinking my luck had run

Everyone who worked here was very nice and the office was great, however, the doctor recommended that I needed about 10 fillings. 10 fillings? I've only had to have 1 in my entire life. And they were out of network (which I didn't ask about ahead of time, my fault), so ridiculously expensive. I went to my old dentist back in MI a month later and ended up needing 1 filling. 1 versus 10. go figure.
