SideTrack offers a sultry dose of nostalgia and is a celebration of comfort foods and classics. A wood burning oven and a wood fired grill are the heartbeat of the restaurant, and our passion for cooking over wood comes through in every dish. Harkening back to a slower style of cooking and a way food used to be prepared, cooking over fire is a primitive technique that lets the ingredients speak for themselves.

There must be angels working in the kitchen and Hunter took great care of us in the dining room. My partner said "this is the first time I have ever bitten a spoon trying to get all the flavor off" after he took a bite of the s'mores dessert. It was out first time but we will now be regulars. Thanks for a great date night!

We got very lucky and grabbed two spots at the bar at around 6 PM we started a reservation that was going to be 30+ minutes so be sure to call in your reservation ahead of time. We met locals at the bar and discovered new places to go in Chattanooga. Later in the night we met the partial owners, Who were more than friendly and we're happy to chat with us for a little before we left. This restaurant is definitely one of the top places in Chattanooga. We were not overly impressed with the hamburger mainly because of the bun but the lasagna is excellent and the brussels sprouts are not to die

We dined at Sidetrack for brunch for my mother's birthday celebration. It is a locally owned establishment with fantastic wood grilled food. I had the avocado toast, which was served on Niedlov's sesame loaf. It had avocado, sun dried tomato, a poached egg and feta cheese. I thought it may not be enough so I ordered a side of bacon. The bacon was served crisp and it had a subtle wood smoke flavoring that was like no other bacon I have eaten....outstanding. Food is awesome! My family and I all had something different off the menu and it was 10 of us and we all tasted each other dish and nothing was disappointing.. we all were very pleased with the food and the service.. not pricey at all! You will be very pleased!!! They also make good Hendrix (thanks to my brother Sam).

Really liked our dining experience here. We had a reservation for brunch with friends we hadn't seen in a long while. The ambiance of the restaurant was great... hoping for outdoor seating in the near future though!! You are greeted along the pathway with gardens full of herbs and flowers and you are literally swept away with the delicious aroma of Rosemary!! We were seated in the bar area at a high top which had comfortable seats AND a hook for your handbag under the table.... AWESOME! Good segue to the restaurant cleanliness...I never comment on this because, well, it's a restaurant - you just expect it to be clean, but whoever closed the night before gave sweeping the floor the big, fat, finger, cause Yikes! I assume it was the night crew cause I was there when they opened, as noted above...
So, on my empty stomach, I ordered a recommended drink from Yelp, The Sure Thing. Thank

OMG!!!! These fish and chips are the best ever! And 25% off on Sundays! The "sure thing" cocktails are absolutely eponymous with their name! Best meal EVER! Don't read this! We want it a best kept secret!

We have cautiously began eating out again, kind of afraid of getting COVID-19, but trying to resume some of our habits, like eating at Sidetrack. I watched them sanitize a table after the people left and I feel very comfortable now eating a Sidetrack! Two employees used sanitizer to wipe down the table, chairs, etc., very thoroughly, spending at least 20 minutes

Such a great date night! Atmosphere was cool, service great. We took recs form our waiter and ate everything on every plate. We started with Rajas appetizer which was very good. I had chicken piccata and my husband the salmon, both excellent. We shared Mexican street corn, loved it! Would order 2 next time. Finished with tees leches coconut Heath cake and also very good. We had all of that and 2 drinks each all for around $100. LOVED IT and will definitely return!

I have been coming back to SideTrack over the years . I always have the "Wood Oven Roast WHOLE Branzino" when available. Since they were out of it today I changed to the "Pan Seared Wild Alaskan Halibut". They made it with thin crispy outer layer, sets in very favorable sweet corn purée sauce topped with freshly pair of fennel and parsley grown in the restaurant own garden.
Simple but as good a Halibut as I ever had!

We went here for Valentine's Day. What a great experience. We really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. The food and service was excellent.
We started off with the whipped feta. If you're planning on an appetizer, this is it.
For our entrees, I had the salsa verde chicken with a side of wood grilled okra and my wife had the prime bavette. We both enjoyed these entrees and had no complaints on them.
We decided to share the adult s'more as a dessert. The only thing we regretted was sharing and not getting our own.
