I am not going to leave a long drawn out review of how bad this business is but I will say that if you are considering joining Pivotal Fitness in ANY location - you want to read more than just these reviews. You need to look at all the complaints filed on them with the Better Business Bureau. This will change your mind.

Critical: Quality
Went here for many years. Witnessed constant downgrade In quality even after the renovation that was done. Staff were rude most of the time. Equipment would stay broken for months.
Can't recommend.

You can be out of your contract and cancel your membership with 30 days notice and they still charge you. When you question it, they get rude and try to convince you of something different from what was originally said. Do not join this gym, they will scheme and trick you to keep taking your money.

Yeah, very disappointing. I'm moving and on their website it says I can just submit my DL. But when time comes to cancel the membership they come up with million excuses why they cant do it. Now suddenly my DL is not good enough. DO NOT SIGN THEIT CONTRACT OR YOU WILL REGRET LATER.

Don't sign a contract with this place for membership! You'll never get out of it and when it's due to be cancelled they will keep charging you. No one can help and corporate doesn't reply to emails. Terrible business management!! Never ever again!!

It's a work out place.
That's a positive. It's filthy and the equipment is worn out and dirty. They have like 3 mats for stretching.

I’ve been a member at Pivotal for almost a year. It’s always clean, members are courteous, staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help with any questions. It’s located in a great spot on Old Trolley Road with great hours of operation. I highly recommend this gym.

Pivotal Fitness is currently running a free one-year membership giveaway drawing for current members if we give them a 5 star rating on yelp. Instead of asking members to mislead potential members about the condition of the gym, please consider upgrading the gym to provide a 5 star experience. The Wentworth location is usually dirty, the bathoom/locker rooms smell and are run down. Also, the air conditioning is not working properly in some parts of the gym, and it's so weak in other parts, they run a loud fan on the main floor that blows the warm air around. I don't enjoy leaving bad

I signed up for Pivotal Fitness in June of 2020 with a one year contract, which we did agree too. Later that year, my husband was laid off due to Covid, had to get another job with a longer commute and was no longer able to go in the mornings. I was no longer working from home after that summer, so we were not able to utilize our membership as much as we had during the summer. I went a couple of months to see if we would get back to using it, but I was only going 2-3 times a month. I went in to speak with them in March of 2021 and explained the situation, and asked if the membership could be cancelled

This is my home gym. Great equipment and a wide selection. Everything is clean. The staff is very pleasant. There are some cool classes here as well. I’m all about the personal training and lifting weights. Fellow gym members are courteous.

This place is atrocious. After numerous complaints about COVID restrictions, mask wearing continues to be a problem. Unfortunately I paid for the year and can't get a refund. They did get some new equipment recently but can't recommend this place.

This gym deserves zero stars. Impossible to get out of any contract (only an email contact is available and then they don't respond or "forget" so it's impossible to get in touch while you continue to get charged), equipment is constantly breaking and management does nothing to fix it, terrible customer service (probably because management is terrible to their employees), disgusting bathrooms, small and cramped space, etc. This gym is basically about locking customers into a contract and then doing absolutely nothing regarding upkeep of the gym. There are plenty of other

If I could give this place zero stars I would. If you have a student at the college of Charleston, don't let them even walk in the door of this place. They get them to sign a years contract and they don't tell them that after that year it rolls over and they continue to charge you. They say that it's in the contract but what 18 or 19-year-old kid is going to read the contract? They don't even give a student discount. It's a total rip off. There's a reason why they have crappy reviews. They rip off young kids.

Dark, small, cramped, smells bad, and old. This gym needs a renovation. I've been to other pivotal gyms and they are really good. So good that I drive 15 minutes to go to another location, over driving 5 minutes to this one. Downtown limits the size of a location, but that doesn't mean the floor plan can not be set up better. It's a sea of cardio and old machines. The floor plan makes it more cramped then it needs to be. The only spot to really move Around is at the very back. During the day it feels like they don't turn on the lights and the lighting from outside is bad, so

A smaller gym but with everything you could need! The typical free weights rack, 2 squat racks, cardio equipment, and a separate sprint room. All gym goers range from your average joe to very fit people. To sign in you use the app club life so you don't have to remember a key fab. Every time I walk in an employee is always greeting me with a smile! A great, nonjudgmental place to get a good sweat in. Also, the girls locker room is always clean with large showers, bathroom stalls, and lockers. Overall, a great gym to workout at!!

No air conditioning for the month of August 2019 and they keep saying they are working on it! The had nerve to tell me it was fixed and I pointed out it was 5 degrees warmer than outside - 83 degrees at 6:30 AM. The front desk staff seem to be just in the dark as they say we know, but can't do anything. Obviously, ownership could care less.

Checked out the gym while we we in Charleston. Omg...it was gross! I don't think they even clean the gym. I did some cardio on the treadmill... Sorry but it was beyond disgusting! I didn't even want to touch the treadmill. Dried sweat everywhere. Oily residue from different bodies. I had to grab the weights with wipes that they have there at the gym. Thank God they have those there! I don't understand how a gym can even be up and running being that dirty? Sucks that there's no gyms in that area that are worth going to. I didn't go back. I would not recommend this gym to

Terrible to do business with. I had a membership and advised someone at the front desk that my mother was in the hospital so I had to cancel, he said not to worry just submit a cancellation request to peak services and they'll handle it. The peak services made me breach hospital confidentiality to get a notice that my mom was there to not charge the $200 cancellation fee. I was shocked to not even get any sympathy but for a letter anyway. Then the woman tells me the letter does not suffice. I then sent her a letter from HR from my company saying I moved also my drivers license in the state

I hate doing this, I really do. I got a Groupon with a girlfriend of mine - something like 1 month for $50 for two people. It seems like a steal, given that it is typically $60 a month plus a initiation fee of $70.

The convenience of this gym for my in the mornings can't be beat. It is next to my parking garage, a quarter of a mile from work. It's amazing. However, this gym lacks updated equipment, is dark and dingy and just needs love. The showers are gross, the open barre room is disgusting, and the floors are covered in crap.

I hope that since they were just purchased by Pivotal
