Factory
Italy is a paradise; everyone lives in a state of intoxicated self-forgetfulness, myself included. I seem to be a completely different person whom I hardly recognize. The Factory Kitchen is a compelling new hybrid - an informal trattoria with rather formal northern Italian cooking, like those restaurants you sometimes find hidden in the warehouse districts of European cities that just happen to have a Michelin Star.

The dishes are composed; careful. This is not country food. Chef Auriana' cuisine is both: experimentation on the path of tradition and an experience of the essence of the Italian territory that transports you in a culinary journey through the Italian Peninsula.

Great for a nice meal. Fancy casual if you know what I mean. They make great cocktails.

Killer pastas made by hand. The prosciutto to share is also excellent. Indoor and outdoor seating with valet service. The casonzei is a favorite. The Michelin is well deserved!

My friend's and I were really excited to eat at Factory Kitchen, but we walked away feeling very disappointed. While we were promptly seated, our server Brian dropped the ball every step of the way. To his credit, he did give get to us quite quickly after we were seated, but everything went downhill after we asked for more time. We didn't know it was DineLA, so we were given two menus. We were overwhelmed by the options and were hoping Brian would take some time to provide recommendations, but that did not happen. After much waiting, he finally returned to take our orders. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the LA area. It's housed in a warehouse type of building, so the first time I came I thought I was in the wrong spot. It's charming and cozy inside with dimmed lighting. We ordered the prosciutto, mandilli di seta, gnocchi malfati, and casonzei. The prosciutto starter is a must, and my personal favorite was the mandilli di seta, but all were divine. Do yourself a favor and check out this spot!

I had the casonzei pasta and it was, zero hyperbole, the best pasta dish I have ever had in my life. My waiter recommended a great wine to pair with it. I really liked the ambiance as well: low lighting and appropriate music. Also, the service was so incredibly warm, giving and glad to be there!!! I highly recommend dining here!!!

We went to this restaurant with business associates To celebrate the holiday. Our outdoor table was warm and cozy, despite the very cold weather. We ordered many dishes to share for the table, wasn't one dish that was below excellent. Every single thing was amazing. And we ordered a lot of dishes.

We started with the kale salad with shaved ricotta, it was fantastic. We ordered the prosciutto and burrata dish, That was a favorite of the night. The calamari dish was my least favorite of the night. Then the pizza arrived. They have three pizza options on the menu, we ordered the one with anchovies

As someone who only had only 48 to try all that I can at LA I am glad to say this is one of the places I was able to go. The factory-like setting was a fantastic blend of open air design and modern dining. The service as well as the food was a dream and the experience itself set an energetic and vibrant mood for me and my friends.

When you walk in, the room is filled with people, a nice lit bar in the back; just the place you want to be for a nice pasta and some wine. The pasta here is delicious and the cannoli here is absolutely mouth-watering. We ordered the arugula salad, brodetto (steamed clams, mussels, and broth), handkerchief pasta, and modenesi (because I love truffle).

The pasta here is amazing, please try it out. The place is quite pricey so be sure to check the menu.

We were very excited, especially after seeing they were on the Michelin guide but we were very let down once we received the food. The pasta was lacking of flavor... it supposedly had black truffle but there wasn't the faintest aroma of it.

The fish was even more bland than the pasta.

We asked if they had any sauce we could have on the side to dip our extremely dry (and bland) potatoes in and we were told they did not have any sauces-- not even ketchup.

Also waited over 30 minutes for a drink, which they thankfully offered to comp and ultimately did-- still does not take away from the

I've been hearing about this place so I finally went and I was not disappointed. Their pastas are amazing, it's so fresh and not too filling. But I do wish the portion was a little bit bigger. I will definitely come back here. It was so packed when I went so better make reservations ahead of time. They are also Michelin Guide 2021! :)

You have to love the cool, chic, industrial factory-type open feel of the place here. They do almost everything correct... the service at the door... even while frantic on a Saturday night... is cool calm and very professional. We were seated exactly on time for our reservation.
The bar, while small is very comfortable and offers a full menu if you feel like that’s more of your jam. with the open feature of the restaurant you could sit at the bar watch the dining room, and the kitchen at the same time.
The overall vibe of the place is great also... with a house soundtrack that will keep the

A wonderful Italian dinner in the Arts District downtown. I have honestly been to all the restaurants in the Arts District and this is definitely a repeat. I really like the design inside, feels like the meatpacking district in New York or any industrial warehouse setting. The food was also delicious and our waiter Edwin was very polite and attentive.

We started off with the Scottona which is like carpaccio but thicker and tasted closer to roast beef. A great start and the portion was very large which made me happy. To finish I chose the Pescatrice which was a Monkfish filet and it too was very

Dined here on a Sunday night. Steady crowd and popular for any size groups. There were couples enjoying a quiet Sunday dinner, and several groups of 6-8 that showed up. Located in a quiet side street in the Arts District, the Factory Kitchen offers indoor and outdoor seating. They have valet parking, but if you can find street parking, you can save the $7 or $9 that they charge.

First the antipasto. Insalata which was two large handfuls of arugula, lightly dressed with slices of ripe, sweet oranges and a smattering of olives. It was just okay and I personally would've liked the dressing

I wish as other mentioned they would do something special especially for a birthday celebration. I was truly disappointed..........nothing at all......
Overall, fantastic Italian food, good service and ambience.
Parking is available on the street or valet.
Ample and spacious seating outdoor and set nicely indoor also. Outdoor seating in front of the restaurant did not have any lighting except the street lights.
Top summer apps:
insalata - wild arugula, shaved fennel, oranges, taggia olives, lemon-chili dressing
pomodori - heirloom tomato salad, red onions, cucumbers, tomato coulis, olive

Came here for a work dinner the other night. We had made reservations beforehand but at 6p there was no wait. We parked in the valet parking ($9 and they accept CC).

We tried a variety of foods but my favorites were the ahi appetizer and the prosciutto appetizer. I tried some of the pasta and wasn't blown away by it. The duck was good, not great though. Tried the banana bread pudding for dessert and it was pretty good.

Overall it was an okay dinner. Service was a little lacking and we kept finding ourselves out of water and waiting for someone, ANYONE to refill the water. I don't

WHAT A MEAL!  We sat on the outdoor patio for a late dinner Friday night.  Patio was beautifully lit and very spaced out.  Also, dog-friendly.

FOOD
Peperu starter.  Peppadew peppers, stuffed with a soft cheese, topped with arugula, shaved hard cheese, and other toppings.  The ingredients sound simple, but the flavor was divine!  An explosion of flavor--loved the balance of bright acidity from the peppadew and the two cheeses.  Not very spicy either, so don't let that dissuade you.  One of the stars of the meal, and a MUST-ORDER.  5/5

Scottona.  Thinly-sliced beef topped with

We ordered several different pastas, but I recommend getting the Mandilli di seta (pesto pasta) one the most.
- Mandilli di seta (pesto): I know it just looks like a green blob and doesn’t look very appetizing, but it is a heavenly, thin pasta blanket doused in pesto sauce. I’ve never had this type of pasta before, but it was really good! It was super delicious, silky, and so saucy. Highly recommend as this is what they’re known for!
- Carsonzei (pork sausage and beef filled egg pasta): a yummy, Italian “dumpling”-like pasta. However, idk if it was because the pasta cooled so quickly

Absolutely loved my dining experience here!

Came here with 2 friends and sat in the outside patio area. It wasn't too hot so it was pleasant. I also liked how they used some nice covers instead of the metal fence so it doesn't look as ghetto.

My friend and I ordered the il bacio drink to start and it was described to be like the sangria. I thought it was quite good.

We also tried their appetizers - MUST GET is their prosciutto on fried sage bread with cheese. I have never had dishes similar to this before, but it was HEAVENLY I tell you!!! Felt light, but indulgent. We were also

What an incredible meal! This place definitely lives up to the hype!

We got a few starters which included:

The scottona, the thin sliced beef which was incredible! Super tender and went perfectly with the cheese and arugula.
The heirloom tomato salad was incredible, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like tomatoes! I loved the marinate, a light and fresh dish.
Then we got the prosciutto, which was definitely my favorite starter. Thin sliced prosciutto with a creamy cheese ontop of a crispy dough. Incredible. I can not recommend this one enough.
We also got the brodetto, which

This has got to be one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. I had reservations for two on a Friday evening and sat in their outdoor area (perfect lighting for pictures). My friend and I shared all the dishes we ordered.

Appetizers
1. Prosciutto
The perfect appetizer to share. The lightly fried dough on the bottom pairs deliciously with the prosciutto and stracciatella. Perfetto!

Pastas
1. Mandilli di seta
Wow. I was blown away by the delicate sheets of handkerchief pasta and the delectable flavor of the pesto. There are mixed reviews about this dish on Yelp, but I personally loved

Before the Factory Kitchen I was not much of a pasta person. But when my boyfriend brought me here, WOW I was so blown away from my experience dining here at The Factory Kitchen. I'm still craving the mandilli de seta to this day and I cannot wait to come back here. I'm starting to question if I've ever had good pasta before coming here lol.

Everything was top notch:

1) The Service - the waiters were so attentive checking in and cleaning up our table whenever needed. They also gave great recommendations for drinks and appetizers.

2) The Food - I underestimated how delicious all

Ordered the mandilli di seta which is their popular thin handkerchief pasta, the texture for this pasta was my favorite compared to the other pastas we ordered. It had a strong pesto flavor that was delicious. Highly recommend giving this one a try!

We also ordered the ravioli di mare which also had a great flavor. It was covered in a light cream sauce with bits of seafood throughout. The texture was a bit too al dente for me, if it were a tad bit softer I would've loved it completely.

The last pasta dish we ordered was the modenesi which was my favorite tasting pasta from the three we

I was so stoked to try out this swanky and hip new spot in the Arts District in DTLA for my birthday celebration! We made some reservations ahead of time. Unfortunately, due to some rain earlier in the day, our reservation was pushed back about 45 minutes. A call or text for a heads up would have been appreciated, but I'm grateful I was in good company to help the wait time go by quickly.

Once we were seated, we were given some great recommendations. We decided to go with the Pepercu appetizer which was probably the best thing on the menu, and one of the best dishes I've ever tasted
