Join us every day for Ramen noodles with multiple flavors & ingredients in a compact & modern, Japanese-style dining room. The concept of Hiro, also the Japanese Kanji for "search" is a lifelong Journey; an endless search for the soul of Ramen. We offer several staple menu items but our namesake "Hiro" ramen is updated bi-weekly as we continue to search for new flavors and discover our own cuisine.
We hope you may join us on our journey and we look forward to serving you in the near future! I visited Hiro Ramen House and had the Vegetable Ramen dinner, which turns out is vegan. It was awesome. Very tasty and really good price. My son had the Portfilio which is Ramen in chicken and pork broth, an egg, pork belly, and some vegetables.

I loved this place. I only got the ramen, but it was awesome. I called for take out and it was ready as soon as I got there. I ordered the Gates of Hell with extra pork and added corn. The broth was thick, rich, and flavorful - not too spicy, but had a little kick to it. The noodles were everything I want in Ramen - thick, wavy, long, and a little chewy. The only thing I didn't love was the pork - you don't get much of it, and it was a little too charred for my taste. Aside from that, I loved it and will definitely be back. Just wish they were on a delivery app as the location is a little

Great service. Fast. So flavorful, hearty, filling. Big portions. Immediate seating. It's not a big restaurant but I love the cozy feel. Ramen quality was amazing and hit the spot on a cold rainy day.
The chicken was amazing. So fresh, crispy, and hot. And it was not too salty, just the perfect amount of seasoning. I would most definitely go back to this place.
Heads up, they only take cash!

Haven't been to Hiro Ramen House for many years and was happy to see it's still going strong and serving solid ramen!
We ordered the Pig and Miso (Berkshire port tonkotsu broth with miso, pork belly chasiu, bamboo, corn) and the Gates of Hell (Berkshire port tonkotsu broth with intense chili oil, pork belly chasiu, bamboo, egg), and both were served quickly, piping hot, and had balanced, layered flavor. Highly recommend if you're looking for ramen in Midtown!

Follow whatever instincts led you to this page! We had the Hiro's Inch of Heaven ramen and the Gates of Hell ramen. Both were delicious and we each drained our bowls. The noodles and broth were excellent. There was one waitress running all the tables and, at dinner rush with a convention near by, it was packed. She was a bit over run with parties but worked valiantly through out. We were seated quickly and were served quickly. I hope she was tipped well by all. The kitchen staff and their music were also fun to watch.
Great spot. Glad we stumbled on it.

They raised the price of their ramen by $3 and now give less noodles (black pig was $10 and now it's $13), and raised the price of their karaage chicken. They used to give a good portion of chicken but now give less chicken and fluff it up with spinach and a lemon. I was surprised to visit this place and order my favorites, only to be met with these changes. Now I'm just disappointed and still hungry, heading home to eat more because the $25 I spent on these two items was not enough to get me full.

Nice and hearty meal. I ordered the Black Pig which had roasted garlic oil - hit the spot on a chilly night! As always ordered karaage- fried chicken bites as an appetizer. Only thing it is cash only but they have atm inside!
EDIT: They now offer use of cards to pay for your meal*** so not cash only anymore.

I stumbled here on my very first day in Philly and had an urge to come in even tho I wasn't hungry. And I must say, I'm glad I did because the ramen did not disappoint! I got the Gate of Hell with spicy broth and is probably the best broth I ever had and I tried multiple famous ones in California. I was not fan of the meat, it was dry and tough. But everything else made up for it.

They have great noodles here. Not exceptional but consistently and reliably good. But the customer service, altogether different. It’s mostly lacking. Sometimes bordering an air of arrogance and a touch of rudeness. Call them up on the phone and see what you think of the response. Other than that, not bad.

Incredible experience. We were stumbling around looking for a ramen place outside of Chinatown since most of those restaurants were packed, and came across Hiro Ramen right before closing time. It is quite small inside, but the restaurant is super cozy and good vibes for dining-in. The staff was extremely kind, and the ramen was incredible. New favorite ramen place in the city.

I ordered the Gates of Hell ramen and my friend ordered the Black Pig ramen. Both were really good, but I would definitely recommend the Gates of Hell! It sounds like it would be extremely spicy but it really isn't - I'm not great with spice but it was barely spicy at all. However, the chili oil and broth was super flavorful that I was tempted to drink it all, even though I would rarely do so. The meat was really tender and fatty and overall it was one of the best ramens I've had in Philly. The Black Pig is decent but definitely preferred the Gates of Hell, but it was pretty flavorful

Loved it! Got the Porfilio ramen and it was delicious, noodles and egg and meat were all cooked just right. Waiter was nice. Sign on the wall had their weekday special -- pretty sure it was $15 for ramen and small salad and appetizer, seems like a pretty good deal, will probably go back and try that one. Place isn't crazy big but there's smaller tables in the front and then larger tables in the back hallway area for bigger groups. My friend and I sat kinda squished into the front corner at a little table right by the window, which was fun for us but might be a little uncomfortable for

I judge Ramen on broth consistency, noodle texture, and execution of the pork.
This ramen had flavorful and smooth broth, super tender and fatty pork, and perfectly chewy noodles at a good price.
Hiro was excellent. I'll be back. Just one thing, I wish my server reminded me of the lunch special. I wound up sort of not getting the optimal value.

Amazing ramen. Definitely one of the best in the city. The ramen has a rich broth, not too salty. Inside the restaurant has nice decor and the service is good. Their other foods is also worth trying .I highly recommend. The flavor profile is on point and just the amount of spicy kick that doesn't over power the food. Cash only with ATM inside .

A hidden gem that somehow has survived in a major downtown section of Philly, while keeping an incredible value for their ramen bowls. I had the "Hiro's Inch of Heaven", which comes with pork belly - savory, satisfying, and flavorful in the way an excellent bowl of ramen should be.
What makes things even better is back when I visited, they were BYOB. This place is a total bargain for a quiet night out.

Cute little spot with a few tables for sit down, currently open for take out and dine in. Located near bustling downtown chestnut street, easily accessible. Wheel chair friendly.
They have a few signature ramen dishes, each soup distinctly different, and you can add more items to you soup if you like. Customize your own ramen. I got the second one, it was very good!
Small selection of appetizers, I could actually see the octopus pieces in the mix!
Will come back again to try the others
