The staff at woodminster vet is wonderful and are always very kind to my dog-despite his terrible vet anxiety. They're super thorough and their good dog energy makes a big difference for us during vet visits.

They followed up to ask how my pup was recovering and were prompt to send over the documentation I needed for insurance. All in all, wonderful vet!

We needed a vet close by and Woodminster fit the bill. We appreciated their level of transparency on what our cat needed, and appreciate how flexibly they can see patients.

We took our recently adopted cat in for a dental check up and the staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating. We will continue to use Woodminster vet and would recommend them to our friends and family.

They have taken care of our kittens, now cats, from day one, and we couldn't be happier. Everyone on staff seems very loving, caring, and respectful towards the animals, I mean, you can really tell that they truly love what they are doing. I tell you this not to impress you, but impress upon you that isn't that the kind of place you'd want to take your pet?

I really like Woodminister Veterinary Hospital. They are quick to reply to calls or emails and have handled my two cats very well. One of my cats had very slightly kidney levels and they were very clear in explaining how to care for her, what food to get, and the plan for the future. Within one year of feeding her prescription food and adding water to the food, her kidney was back to normal. They are helpful and understanding and not pushy, which I appreciate.

Highly recommend!! My family has been coming to Woodminster Veterinary Hospital for over 20+ years with multiple dogs. They provide exceptional service and I've had no complaints since I've been coming here. They handle COVID with professionalism by putting in strict protocols for easy pick up/drop off. The staff is extremely friendly and communicative, providing multiple follow ups to ensure my pup is getting outstanding care. I feel safe and comfortable dropping my dog off every time, and my dog (Nala) loves it there too.

My family and I had just moved to the East Bay it seems like I had called an endless amount of vet locations that were completely booked and not accepting new dogs. I found Woodminster Vet Hospital on Yelp and I am SO grateful to have found this place. The staff is wonderful and caring. The vets themselves take the time to answer questions, no matter how many I have. They are also extremely Covid-accommodating: They ask that people call before they come into the building. They also allow you to drop off your pet and talk with the vet over the phone.

Thank you for taking care of Louis, staff of

I have only used Woodminster Veterinary Hospital the last couple months but have been very satisfied with their service. I have not had any serious issues with my pup luckily but have heard them give detailed information to other pet owners. They always patiently answer any question. I was also happy because there was not a waitlist.

Other reviews talk about potential of upselling which I have experienced a little of but I am the decision maker. They answer questions so that you can make an informed decision without feeling pressured.

We've only taken our dogs to Woodminster Vet since we first adopted our girl Bella, our first rescued pitmix 20 years ago. She got all of her puppy care at Woodminster and throughout her adult life was cared for by Woodminster through her end of life at 11. Angus our 85 lb, pit mix, 10 year old man - rescued at 3 months from Oakland SPCA, has had all his care here. Now today, our new baby Nala, another rescue from Milo is starting her little life off right, in the attentive care of Woodminster Vet. Three generations of our family.

So bad that this office’s name has become a synonym in our household for anything of low caliber or general awfulness and misery. (e.g., “that place is the Woodminster of what it does”, “would you rather do jury duty or have to make a Woodminster appointment?”)
Yeah, literally go anywhere else. Check out their Yelp page if you’re curious for more details.

Great Veterinary Hospital! When we had Stitch we were referred to Woodminster. Stitch passed away, he was a fabulous pet with a great attitude. He was protective, but loving! We lost touch and went to 2 other vets. One was too far, the other I was just not pleased with. I felt we were not valued clients. Thank you Woodminster for making us feel like family!

Took my 13lb Chihuahua mix to get her teeth cleaned here a few months ago. I was a bit nervous because my dog is not the friendliest when she's nervous. We chose to put a muzzle on for safety and they were very kind and accommodating to her and the procedure went well.
We've taken her a few times now to get several shots and they are always so kind to her Thank you so much.

Per my initial review, please don't go here if you have other options. I recommend getting on Grand Lake Vet's waitlist or making the drive to the SPCA. My stupid drama aside, Woodminster is objectively bad at what they do from an office efficiency and medical competency standpoint.

Update in response to Woodminster's Business Manager:

3) I dunno about this one, guys. We brought our dog to the SPCA and they immediately resolved it without needing to conduct a procedure that would've cost hundreds of dollars. And hypothetically it obviously would've been fine if my pet

Came here with my boyfriend and our Cane Corso on tuesday 10/19 to get his ears cropped. I was recommended this veterinary hospital from a family friend who got their corso's ears done here as well! The assistant who helped us was very sweet and helpful! I forgot her name but again she was so helpful to answer all of our questions and handled our pup well! He's almost 1 week post op and his ears are healing well! They did an excellent job and we're so happy with how everything turned out. Their instructions are precise and accurate. The medicine prescribed helps so much as well!

We've been bringing our 1 yo. terrier mix to Woodminster for over a year, and previously brought our cat who has since passed away. Our experiences have all been good; they're the only vet (of 3 we saw!) to correctly diagnose and treat my dog's allergies, and always follow up with compassion and care to see how our pets are doing. They're thoughtful and the doctors take the time to speak with you themselves.

Sometimes it feels like every single time we go there, there are unexpected/undisclosed costs that *seem* like they could have been anticipated or raised as a possibility

This vet hospital is quite empathetic to the needs of pet owners. I am very happy with it. They do seem to try and sell you on extra care products to raise up the bill a bit and that's why I didn't give 5 starts

Again, do not take your pet to this so-called vet hospital. Of course they will communicate this flaccid response to make it seem like we had every right to refuse the unreasonably priced services...our pet had a limp and seemed in pain, they told us he had a heart murmur and therefore couldn't be treated with the normal sedation, and therefore a tranquilizer AND pain injection was needed. Really, a heart murmur? $350 for a tranq. and pain injection FOR AN INCONCLUSIVE procedure on his paw, lab work up, etc. $900 later a janky unprofessional, insufficient bandage job! You bet we're

I've been bringing my dog to Woodminster since we adopted him last summer but the time has come to change vets as the service seems to be on a decline lately.

A few months ago I brought my dog for a scheduled appointment and we had to leave without being seen because after waiting for 25 mins they still hadn't come to bring him in. I understand delays but if you're having clients make appointments those appointment times should be honored.

After explaining how disappointed I was they gave me a free exam so we went in a few weeks ago for an exam + vaccinations. This time I was

Recently moved to the area and Woodminster was the ONLY vet office in a 15 mile radius even accepting new pets. Our pup had a bad rash and they did a thorough examination, reviewed her previous medical records and prescribed an appropriate treatment for the allergic reactions. I was very impressed with their communication and follow up. Look forward to having them as our local veterinarian

Woodminster doctors and office staff have been caring for my dogs for 8 years. Dr. Adar is caring and thorough as is the staff. It's a great feeling when the the staff know me and my dog and I get know a bit about them as well.
Getting the quarantine protocol was a little rough at first but the new phone system has greatly improved the whole process.
I highly recommend Woodminster Veterinary.

I was excited to find a vet that had availability that was so close to our house.

1) What is the point of the intake form if they don't read it? I have a hairless dog and the vet had the nerve to ask me if it had a skin condition and if he would ever grow hair when the intake form stated his hairless breed.

2) The vet told me that if he is drinking too much water that he might have a health problem and that we should test for it...another weird suggestion as puppies drink a ton anyhow (at least ALL OF MINE have before they turned a year old).

3) Every vet has provided me with vitals. That

So I had my appointment for my dog "Bubbers" this Veterinary hospital is 100% covid-19 friendly you pull up in your car and the nurse comes out asks you briefly what's going on with your animal and/or what you would like to be treated with them today, then they return back inside with your animal and then from inside they (The Vet) will call you with their basic assessment and treatment recommendation which you can completely agree with or completely disagree with and then you can actually choose what service you would like to have taken care of whether it be just medication or just the x-rays

Thank you to the staff of Woodminster Vet for helping me through one of the toughest decisions any pet owner has to make. I appreciated them fitting us in even though I'd not been there before. I appreciated that our wait time for someone to take him in was relatively short. I appreciated the honesty of the doctor. Yes, it was terribly hard not to be with T.S. in his final moments, but I have every assurance that the staff was gentle and loving to Tizzy in that time. And I especially appreciate the lovely card I just received that included not only a personal note, but that they took the time to
