Janet is a talented hair professional. I’ve been getting color every two months for nearly two years, always beautiful. Her haircuts are fantastic for my challenging curly hair. I always leave feeling like I’ve gotten exceptional quality services. Plus she’s super fun. Love Spitcurl!

Fun story: I first got a haircut at Spitcurl at the beginning of 2015. As a matter of coincidence, the week after that haircut I had a date. My date offhandedly commented that I have “catalog-model hair.” She is now my wife.
So, given my complete and willful disregard for the concept of correlation vs. causation, I’ve been a loyal customer of Spitcurl ever since. Fate, right? Either way, it’s always an awesome experience.
It’s easy to take a lot of what goes on at Janet's shop for granted. It’s more than just the nice atmosphere that makes it worth going. No more awkward first-time

Before I write this review, I would like to mention that I do not know what will happen with it. After having the most horrific haircut experience of my life, I went back to see the reviews I had read to see if there was something I missed. Something that would have indicated that someone had the same experience as me previously. There was not a single negative review for the salon & hairdresser on Yelp or Google. Seems a little strange, doesn't it?
Regardless, I had been looking for a new hairdresser. As someone with curly hair, this is not an easy task. I found Janet, she had great reviews,

I live nearby and thought the salon looked nice and when Griffith parc closed on diversey, I figured why not. . Well it matters because no one is ever there. They are closed 3 days a week and barely ever there on the so called days they are open. I was never able to connect up so I went to rebellious down the street. Run from here and go to a nearby salon like I did. If I waited for spitcurl, I would still be waiting.

Janet works magic everytime i come in, i leave feeling even for fabulous that i thought i would. She takes grown out, flat, blah hair and i leave with rich girl hair without going bankrupt. Spitcurl girl for life :-)

Moving from Ohio the past year, I knew finding a hair stylist I felt comfortable with was a priority for me. When I was introduced to Janet, I felt as though I've never experienced a truly good cut before her. My hair doesn't require a lot of upkeep but Janet was a master at finding the right cut that works for my lifestyle (I work out a lot and pull my hair into a ponytail multiple times per week) and I barely give any direction anymore- she knows what I'm after! She's got amazing talent.

I've been a Janet fan forever. Even when I lived out of town, I'd book an appointment so Janet could fix my hair. She's a great stylist and really does send you out looking your best. Plus, she's just a lot of fun to talk to. Book an appointment! You won't regret it.

I have been coming to Janet for two years and there is a very noticeable difference in my hair as a result. She has helped me through my addiction to a hair straightener and has helped me fall in love with my naturally curly hair.
Going to see her is a joy. The salon smells like wonderful candles and perfume - not toxic chemicals. Good treats and drinks are always available. First class experience.

Janet Torelli at Spitcurl is amazing. I have been going to Janet for almost three years and I have never had a better cut. Even though my hair always looks awesome (I get several compliments on it every time I get a haircut), I think I might love the experience of Spitcurl even better.

Janet is so knowledgeable about taking good care of your hair. She does such a great job with teaching you about your hair and recommending the best products that will work for your hair type. I put my hair through so much chemical and heat abuse, but she was able to recommend amazing products that brought my shine back and a regimen that helped cut back on the time I spend styling my super thick hair. If you want a great look and be able to maintain it after you step out of the salon, go see Janet!
